Courthouse ready for renovation

The Pike County courthouse is one of three Pike edifices on the National Historic Register. It’s in downtown Zebulon, the county seat. The courthouse square is a focal point and its park like setting is an invaluable asset to the community. The courthouse was built in 1895.

I sure hope the renovation does not change the 116 year old character and outside appearance. That would be quite sad.

Very true and if you polish them they turn into precious jewels like diamonds. Then if you chunk them out as rocks they turn into stale biscuits and teacakes.

Meeting goer, it was nice to see you at the meeting yesterday although you contributed nothing. We expect more from planning board members like INPUT. You are a simple showhorse, not a workhorse. Or maybe you have a reason for missing meetings like, no free ride.
