Praying for all.....
Look in the driver’s handbook and ……. courtesy towards other drivers is mentioned more than once. When these idiots decide to get on the road drunk or " feel the need for speed" they put everyone's life at risk.
I say forget the family respect and " what about respecting me? and my desire to wanna live when I am on the road." !!!!
The last accident where the drunk driver killed those folks……he could have killed yours or my family members just as well. I have NO sympathy and I will not apologize for it either. Drunks and dummies need to stay at home.
i think it's time for a bit of outrage over the lack of respect that driver's have for other people on and around roads. this continued attitude of doing what you want is endangering the lives, not only of the people in the car with you, but children in the yards around you and people in other cars who are obeying the law.
i feel bad for the people who have lost loved ones. i really do. but you know what, SLOW DOWN, DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE and PAY ATTENTION and we will all be safer on the road.
it has been sheer luck that these were single car accidents so far. what happens when they hit a van full of children or a bus full of children? what happens when they hit a family and kill them?
it's time to say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!".
Really what about Freedom of speech? If the families don't want to read the comments then maybe they should stay off the site !

I got curious with all the goings on about Chappell Hill Road so I drove down it today. The speed limit is 45 mph and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the road that I could tell. It's in good shape (much better on the Pike than Spalding side). Whatever caused these accidents, it wasn't the road or speed limit.
We had bad weather last night and it's my guess that this contributed to the accident.
rock & roll.
As someone stated in an earlier post, Rex was visiting family for the Holidays, he was familar with that road. Accidents happen, is that something hard for some of you to realize?? Rex was a very good man. Honest and hard working. Which is more than some can say about themselves. Lets not forget how the weather was last night, you can easily lose control of a vehicle in bad weather, does not matter how fast or slow you go.
You negative people need to live with more compassion in your heart, and less judgement.
The Journal is nothing but trash now days. All this small town talk! That is all you ANONYMOUS people know to do, is talk! RIDICULOUS! You seriously make me feel ashamed to call my hometown Pike County. Never in my life have I seen so much negative.
To the person that runs the comments and page, you really need to monitor this, it is getting out of control. People should not be allowed to talk so badly about others. There are children that few this page.
Nameless cowards.
Personally I think a modicum of gratitude would not be out of line here, because many folks are holding back what they really feel, I'm sure.
However, the reason his happened has nothing to do with how family and friends of the deceased feel right now. Out of respect for the deseased one should not post disgrading comments that are obviouly uniformed, especiallly since this man lost his life less than 24 hours ago.
I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I haven’t seen any changes in the attitude of drivers despite billions of dollars spent by the federal government, insurance companies, MADD etc. People just don’t care and have no regard for life; including their own.
No matter the circumstances behind the causes of these accidents, we must NOT lose sight of the tragedies and that families lost loved ones. With the holidays coming up, it will be especially difficult for them.
Lastly, a scripture: "I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
—Matthew 12:36-37
