Several Pike County residents were part of filming for the recently released Hollywood blockbuster Footloose. Local musician and racer Houston Hatchett drove his dirt track race car in race scenes filmed at the New Senoia Racetrack with Hollywood stars Julianne Hough, Dennis Quaid and Kenny Wormald.

Yes, we did list one name wrong initially online and in the print edition. We are very sorry to Mr. Jimmy for that.

You also endorsed Swift, Willis, Price, Barnes and Fry. Do America a favor and endorse Obama. That way he will go down in a landslide loss. Please Mr. Pike do not hang around or endorse our Sheriff Jimmy, we like him.

I went to see Footloose yesterday evening and liked it. If I had never seen the original, I would have loved it. I enjoy watching young people dance and have a good time anyway.

Kenny Wormald is a former Justin Timberlake backup performer. Julianne Hough is a Dancing with the Stars alumnus.

BUT they simply cannot compete with Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer in the original movie.

If you have never seen the original..go see it. If you have seen the original, the popcorn is still good.

Go see it for Houston. I felt good just seeing his car and knowing he is fellow Pike citizen.
