Run for fun and community
Every year in his memory, the John Hollis Fun Run is held to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club in Concord that he was instrumental in founding. The third annual 5K Fun Run, one Mile Stroll and Tot Trot is part of the Concord Jubilee and will be held Saturday, Oct. 15.

History lesson needed. It is very obvious this man was a deputy, what is the history behind the man? I have seen stickers on cars in Pike in his memory.

John was a colorful,sometimes controversal guy. He cared deeply for his community, especially kids.I think he didn't want them to face his struggles-think about it Pike didn't fully integrate schools until 1967.He was leader, not just a black leader & a friend

Did he work for Pike? How did he pass?
