County cuts budget again
Pike County commissioners approved a 3.5% reduction of the current budget at the Sept. 27 meeting and discussed furloughs and other possible ways to cut county spending. A courthouse update was also part of the meeting and some adjustments to the final floor plan were approved by commissioners.
if i thought anyone would listen, i would tell you all the reasons i'm against it. but why waste my time.
vote for it. keep giving them more to spend. why not!?!?!?

Yes it can be confirmed. Go to the BOC Office and ask for a open records request. You will find that many of our Pike County cars are operating in Fulton, Fayette, Clayton and Henry Counties at our expense. Follow the money.
I am not doubting your word...it is just that I always hear about all these open records reports and Happy Hoopla that is available, but when they are actually requested...it is a different story all together. What report specifically shows that "my tax money" is paying for Pike County Sheriff cars to be used in these four other counties?
I know that counties frequently rent their prisoners to other counties but I am not sure that Pike has paid for and is paying for maintenance for 41 cars.
Why? Who authorized this expenditure? Is Pike County Sheriff printed on the vehicles?

Why not...we are helping those little court ordered, delinquent off spring of the rich. At least in the eyes of the gullible public. Prudent measures to minimize taxes is just that ...a prudent and wise financial decision.
But when you PLAY with all the Pike County taxpayers in this conning scheming scam and use any representative from a house of God. (FAG)

If you notice that when someone is arrested of prominence or a big news maker that grabs the headlines in big letters.
After the investigations of the Sheriff's departments incompetent investigators they always settle before the trial because of errors in the investigations
Just cant seem to get the big conviction.
This sheriff is nothing more than a hand shaker with an appetite for wasteful spending.
His budget has grown about 800 % since he took over.
To me he's part of the problem ...not the solution

Voters cut these three from the BOC. Add three new fresh members with the intelligence and energy of Tammy and Carol then we will have a winning BOC. Fire all planning/zoning and appeals board members. Appoint board members with brains.

I called the commissioners' office to be assured that I was using the proper site to process my query. I talked to a lady who seemed very professional named Nancy Cook. The commissioners are not in the office today but will be in tomorrow morning for a meeting.....Nancy will notify them that they have a message pending. I left the phone number of my most likely location for tomorrow in case they would like to call me.

WOW! I feel safer already in either of my Pike homes. There has to be a deputy within 5 minutes of my house...no matter which one I am in. I may even have a bus load of cops at my disposal.
No female commissioner voted for all these vehicles...you can bet on that! We may have twelve pairs of black shoes but we would not waste our money on duplicate crown victoria's that require tags and maintenance.
Drive em' like you stole em' boys........ because you did. You could have at least sent me a thank you note.
