Harleigh Sohler is a typical teenager – and more. The sophomore cheerleader at Pike County High School was diagnosed with an optic pathway glioma tumor on May 2. Surgery cannot be performed and she will have to go for chemotherapy treatments for the next 12 to 15 months. Her first treatment was June 20.
Classmates and friends took part in Hat Day for Harleigh, including (front row l-r) Brea Driskell, Abby Garner, Carli Grant, Eliza Norton, Harleigh Sohler, Lori Phillips, Katie Carroll, Brea Foster and (back row l-r) principal Mike Maddox, Jay Gatlin, Matt Stone, Cody McGhee, Logan Jones, Tanner Strickland, Trevor Banks and Alyssa Riggs.
