Maybe his family will have their dream come true!
I would be uncomfortable putting a man to death without hard evidence- I don't think it's my place to take a life.
As for the family of the officer, understand that my father was a police officer, so by no means am I taking sides here.
I just don't think there is hard evidence here.
Wouldn't keeping him in prison for life be enough punishment? I understand the costs to us taxpayers, of course I do. I support so many people with my tax dollars anyway.....

What would that prove? Can you bring him back to life? Get over it! That murdering POS was convicted on solid evidence and the conviction was upheld several times via various appeal courts. The US Supreme Court would have saved Davis if he was innocent. Do you think the 9 justices on the court didn't have ALL the evidence? cats, I think you have been brainwashed by the talking heads on MSNBC, NBC, CNN and the rest of the opinionated lame stream media. I suggest you find the real story about the events in the murder of MacPhail. Pay close attention to the part where Davis shot MacPhail one time and went over to his bleeding body and shot him 2 more times in the head and point blank in the face. Davis was grinning the whole time. There were other happenings that night where Davis used his gun. Remember, Davis and his partner in crime were both armed and are equally guilty if Davis didn't pull the trigger....evidence showed Davis was the shooter. Quit blubbering over a dead cop killer and tune into Jersey Shore or Dr. Phil.
I’m glad the justice system didn’t cower down to public outcry and to political correctness. I believe the Supreme Court sent a very strong message tonight and that will resonate around the world.
We are now in a Comfort Suites in Salem, Va. and tuned into leftist CNN who is spinning the reports waiting for the Supreme Court to decide if another stay was in order.

He received an appropriate sentence for his criminal act even if it was two decades late.
Davis deserved to die. Davis was quoted before the death juice was squirted into his arm as saying, “I will not stop fighting until I’ve taken my last breath." Well, Troy old boy, the fight is over. You have been knocked out in the last and final round of this 22 year fight for justice. Muderer Troy Anthony has taken his last breath. Society finally scored a knockout..1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10..YOUR OUT!....Next!!!!
Now imagine this let's say he was guilty... but repented. Now he's in heaven... he's happier then us non murdering people. Is that justice? He should have sat in a room and never see freedom again... that's justice!
You were in contact with him then. I would imagine he would profess his innocence at some point, if he felt he'd been wrongly convicted.

I'm not calling you out or starting any controversy. I'm really wanting to know.
1. During the trial, they kept referring to the bullet as coming from a .38 caliber pistol. My question is.....was it a .38 revolver round or .38 semi-automatic round. I looked at the transcripts and they indicate that he was convicted on the casings matching up. Everyone knows that you don't call a 9mm handgun a .38 caliber pistol on the streets. The witnesses would have said they had 9mm's. 9mm is a .38 caliber round, but when one refers to a .38 caliber, usually they are speaking of the .38 special or .357 magnum, which is the same round. My point here is if the murder was done using a revolver, the likelihood of finding casings would be unlikely as the murderer would have taken them with him. The only place I can find where the type of gun was mentioned was in a deposition by one of the riders in the car that was shot at earlier saying, "The shooter had to have an automatic because the shots were too fast." Well, I know guns and I know if you pull the trigger on a revolver as fast as you can on a semi-automatic, they will fire equally as fast. The witness also said that two people were shooting at them as they drove by. Saying this, how does he know what type of gun was being fired by the sound and time between each shot?
2. I have read some say there was a pursuit of some sort by the officer running after the assailants. If the incident happened at the Burger King parking lot and the witnesses in the drive through saw the murder take place, how was there a pursuit? Erick Erickson, on WSB, has said that the officer ran after the assailants and passed Coles and caught up with Davis and that is when he was shot. Erickson says this proves that Davis did the killing since the officer was shot in the front. I just don't get the pursuit theory since witnesses in the drive though witnessed the murder. Maybe I am missing something here. I also saw where one witness claimed that the killer used a silver or chrome colored gun and Coles admitted to having a chrome colored gun that he had gotten rid of earlier.
My theory is that Sylvester "Redd" Coles killed the officer and then ran to say Davis did it after Davis left for Atlanta. He made a deal with the officers at that time. Now saying that, I will say this. I am one that says you need to always know who you hang out with and make sure you know what they are up to as your participation makes you equally as guilty. When the shots were fired into the car at Cloverdale, if Davis was an innocent man, he would have went home then. But continuing with the association with Coles proves his guilt in my opinion. The murder was committed by both Coles and Davis and they should both die. That is only one mans opinion. So I consider justice to be half served.
