There may be a slight drop in students going to PC schools but the number of parents driving the kids to school has increased. Along with that those parents don't know how to use common sense and not block the roads. I have never seen such retarded behavior by inconsiderate parents than I have when school is about to dismiss.
I have often wondered about the unemployment rate in Pike and it must be extremely high because of the immense number of car riders. I actually have seen them line up ( or as we call it "jockeying for position") an hour before dismissal. All this can be reduced by letting the children ride the buses.
Hmmm... now that makes a lot of sense. You're bellyachin about other people drivin their kids yet you do the same. Put your kid on the bus. You're payin for it. Take advantage of it.
Mine have graduated and they did ride the bus until they were old enough to drive. Had no problems with bus transportation thur the years. FYI, you could help the economy by getting a job and paying some taxes.
You can help the United States Government out by paying taxes. The economy sucks no matter what. And America will always have someone to point a finger at why their life sucks.
Very true the words you speak. Kind of like a social event taking place in the afternoon around the schools. I also have wondered why so many parents are not working and haven't figured it out.
Hopefully, parents will also teach Mopping 101 for seniors with Honor status while homeschooling. I wonder if the parents will feel any differently when their halls at home are saturated with baby oil?
Say no to home schooling. I believe our children should be loaded up on buses and institutionalized to be educated. I am confident that strangers will teach my kids what they need to make it in life. I can't wait until PCHS pimp's my daughter as one of them skimpy dressed cheerleader's. Its every fathers dream.
I work every other day. So....the days I am off, I take and pick my children up from school. We are home by 330. When they ride the bus, they get home at 445. That is an hour and 15 minutes that I would miss with them if I let them ride the bus on my off days. That is my reason for sitting in the car rider line! I love it and am honored to be able to do it. Its the highlight of my day!

Some People don't understand the value of time spent with their kids. Mine do ride the bus because they get home before me.However, if I could manage it I would pick my kids up... That's if I could pull them away from their bus driver , Mrs. Janet Bugh.... See my kids on most days would rather ride with her. As far as the people in line for pick ups... I have noticed on the few time I have picked my kids up. That it is mostly grandparents or stay at home moms picking their children up.. Either way it is their choice to get their an hour earlier than they get out.. If it's such a problem ummmmm... Get on the inside lane of 18, or watch before you pass on Old Meansville and Hughley roads.. Don't think it would hurt anyone.... And how about saying a small prayer that all those lil kids you fussing about have a safe trip home either on the bus or by car...
I am a stay at home mom. I take my kids to school in the morning but they ride the bus home in the afternoon. I love our morning car rides. We go over what's going on in school that day, etc. It is a nice ride for us..until we get to the schools. I have never in all my life since such inconsiderate, rude, no following of traffic laws ADULT drivers. Sometimes I look around to see if I'm on Candid Camera! If you look into each car in the line and notice the faces of the drivers..they are mostly scowling, frowning or yelling at the car in front of them. It's quite comical. I often wonder why they bother with the car lines if they cannot handle the pressure. People..chill out and have patience..and remember to smile..your kids are watching :).
What an inspiration! If you are the (V)K I know, who is married to my cousin..........CONGRATULATIONS on the 2200 SAT score. Reading works better than TV to build brain cells in children, doesn't it.
My kids can take the bus also but I drive them anyway. My husband gets mad because of all the gasoline I waste without reason and the harm my the smoke from my tailpipe causes to the ozone. I think about all the other cars sitting around running with the air conditioners on and can only imagine the fuel being wasted and air quality being degraded by all of them. He might have a point. But come on. If people can be so wasteful O'Bama can't be doing that bad. And besides screw the ozone, and the rest of that "green" crap.
