Yes I think they should be suspended. What if it was just one student that came in and this this? These kids are being taught that they can do anything that they want and mommy and daddy can get them out of it. What happened to pride in your school? Why would anyone want to mess up where they will spend 8 hrs a day for the next 8 months? I don't know when this tradition started but Mr. Crayton, Dr. Bell, or Mr. Turpin would not have put up with this crap.
I hope you are right. I pray you are right. If not, maybe Jesus will return in 2012 when he sees that America is stupid enough to elect a terrorist TWICE.
I offer a proposal- instead of another prank for which you will be negatively remembered - show Pike County and the world the "stuff" of which you are truly made. As a class gift, as a legacy for which this class can be remembered raise the money to not only repair the current auditorium, but demolish it and build a new and better auditorium in its place. Let this tasteless prank that obviously got out of control fade into the dim recesses of forgotten memories where it rightly belongs and do something positive. This class is made of winners, leaders, role-models who CAN make a difference. It is time to step up and SHOW all who would say otherwise what 2012 is truly made of.
Are ya'll crazy!!! This was the greatest prank i have ever heard of. And you guys caused them to go down in infamy. Not the students... Brilliant class of 2012!!
It was a high school prank. Get over it. They cleaned it up and have to answer now to their parents. What is it with everybody wanting to have people arrested? I think the principal and the parents can handle this without involving the law.
Why doesn't some of these young ladies and gents from the school go by your house and smear baby oil, veseline, and dish liguid all over your hard earned items, and when they're done done just call the mom instead of involving the law in an obvious criminal damage to property charge WELL OVER 500.00 damage. jesus thats whats wrong with kids today pat em on the bahoncas and say don't do it again.... what a moron hell yeah charge the little shites, and I DO NOT CARE WHO THEIR PARENTS ARE
WOW!! That's just crazy, and surpasses the point of being a "senior prank". More along the lines of "senior stupidity"- captured on surveillance video. Are the schools left unlocked at night, or should the term breaking and entering be added here?
The school was unlocked because the kids who were involved in these ridiculous acts that night had previously taped over the door locks during Open House. Since open house did end til 8 or 9 that night and the custodians who are responsible for locking the school up leave at 6, there was no one to catch what the students had done.
How embarrassing for a school system that is supposed to be top notch. If it were one or two kids it would be different but for that many kids to be involved that is a direct reflection on the system. These kids should be punished somehow, if not what happens next year?
Everyone should just clam down. Think about it, we were children once and did probably some worstes things than this. Give the kids a brake and lets em move on in life.
Dude if I did something like that I would have rather the law got me than my parents and they would have done their thing and then told the law to take me.
Please do not include the band in this - they were not in any way involved and they are working VERY hard to raise the funds to not only represent our school but also our state in New York City. This was a terrible act of vandalism - not a prank and should be punished. A message should be sent that this kind of behaviour will not be taken lightly. Of course the seniors who did not get to walk across the stage after releasing birds in the school could have told these students that this would not be overlooked. The students in the class of 2007 who decided to "play" a very tasteless prank and ruin a day for the seniors that year could pass that word along too. As parents we should take the responsibility of raising our children and stop the name calling and mud-slinging that is going on here.
All I have to say is it wasn't vandalism, because nothing was permanent.
It wasn't breaking and entering, because the door was unlocked.
And we all were told that if we stay to clean up and write our names down, we won't be punished. So if we get punished any farther thats messed up, it's called sticking to your word.
Nothing was left over the next day, it looked like new.
So I think all of ya'll need to;
1.Get a sence of humor and realise it's what seniors do, because my daddy said they did, or maybe you're not from Pike in which case you can go back to where ya'll came from because we don't wont you here.
or 2.Stop saying stuff that you know nothing about.
No, it's not what responsible seniors do...I was a senior and we never did that nor did my Daddy. So, yes, they need to be punished. That is just downright disrespect for someone else's property.
If you're a senior that participated why not put your name on here if you had to at school. Perhaps you're taking a refresher course this year on spelling, because I do have a sense of humor not a sence and I do realize not realise seniors play pranks. If I don't want to read what somebody has posted about it, I won't be on here responding to it.
Punk, I was born here and have been paying school taxes for your butt to go to school since I have owned property, about 35 years. Just who do you think pays for all that stuff?
Just because your daddy did it doesn't make it right. Just accept the fact that what you did was wrong, and there will always be consequences for your actions.
Why was the door not locked? Sounds like a teacher's kid was involved or who else would have known it was "unlocked". The damage was criminal interference to goverment property and it was criminal tresspass. Nobody should have been there. That should count as a felony. Pike needs to get their crap together and do something about this cause if I had done something this disrespectful, my hide would have been burned. Teens these days think they can get away with anything and thats one reason why the world is the way it is. Just sayin.
Your garbage a@@ should be arrested my friend. Along with your worthless familly. Did the new Zebulon police just let you off? You can rest assured the next Zebulon city council meeting will not be business as usual. We need to clean house starting with the new
"cheif".
Before opening mouth and inserting foot you should probably understand what the situation is. The school system while inside the city limits of Zebulon is under the jurisdictional venue of the Pike County Sheriff's Department. This is by no means any attempt to redirect blame in the law enforcement community, however present that night were several Pike County Deputies including an investigator, myself a City of Zebulon Police officer, the Assistant Principal of the high school, the principal of the high school, the Pike County School system Superintendent, and several parents. Every year the Senior class attempts to out do the previous Senior class in the scope of its Senior pranks. This year went well beyond what could be considered a prank. However, no one was injured, no permanent damage was done to the building, and school opened on time on Thursday morning. Some of those responsible spent the early morning hours cleaning the school so that school would not be interrupted. The reason the school was able to be cleaned by the students prior to the opening of the school day was because of the quick actions of a Pike County Deputy who caught the students in the act and called the city(myself) as back-up. Any decisions to press criminal charges which would follow these students for the rest of their adult lives or the option of taking in house administrative actions against them is solely the choice of the Pike County School System and the law enforcement community. While I understand your frustration in this, blindly striking out with out knowing all the facts and in this case striking out at those you perceive to of wronged the citizens of this county is irresponsible. To be honest if one of your children had been involved in a "Senior Prank" and had been criminally charged I am sure that you would probably have some thing to say about that too. Please understand that these students are being held responsible for their actions and that charges can still be filed at a later date if necessary. Once again this will be the decision of the Pike County School system and the Sheriff's Department.By the way Chief Ledbetter is doing a excellent job for the City of Zebulon.
It's just hard to have compassion when it was all said and done, some of those involved still making comments about how the class of 2012 killed it and too bad they had to clean it up, or we did it big.
I don't think making statements like that shows any lessons have been learned, or the only reason they didn't go to jail was because there was too many of them and the jail would not hold us all anyway.
Why is there a need to have a senior prank anyway, and why are the kids on school grounds when school is not in session?
So you are saying, as a trained police officer in Pike County, your reaction and the course of action would have been the same if it was 75 kids from Hill Top? If it was 75 white kids from the trailer park? You are right it is not a racial issue, it is a class issue. I wonder how many kids would have been afforded the oppurtunity to clean up if their parents were not school board members, former principals grandkids, principal kids? You are on here spouting what a great officer you are and how great the Sherriff is but do all students get treated the same?
You are right, it is a "class" issue.... not a "class" issue as you would have us believe. It is an issue involving members of the "class of 2012" not involving the socio-economic classification you would try and slant this issue toward for your own goals whatever they may be. I am quite sure that there are students of the Hilltop community, trailer parks, as well as all other areas of Pike County in the senior class. We have only one high school and all PC students in the 9-12th grade levels in the public education system attend it, therefore this "class" is comprised of all of the socio-economic "classes" in Pike. You are tilting at windmills Don Quixote.
Where they invited to your class "prank" or were they with the "nerds"? You are probably related to one of those "privelaged" ones who got off scott free.
Yall can keep messing with Rader all you want. If you met him you would know he is a true professional. I am everything he is not but he still treated me with respect and gave me some educated advice to help out my situation at the time. My class, color, or dilema did not keep him from talking man to man with me with ways to better the situation. This man is professional, educated, and has heart. And coming from me that really should mean something. Because I hate cops.
All you can do is repeat what others say. Can't you come up with something intelligent and constructive on your own? Or is the conversation to intellect for you?
Should have said I hate most cops. I have been both beaten and robbed by them in the past. Then you have the high percentage of them who try to create problems or instigate me until I say or do something stupid enough out of anger so they can lock me up.
But you may be right Phil. I might not really hate cops. I have to run by the courthouse and pay my daughters speeding ticket. When I get home I am going to go out in my gazebo, smoke me a blunt with a laced with a little something special, and think about my love for cops. I presently have a Sheriff deputy as a neighbor. You think if I invite him over while I am out there he will make me like cops more?
Today they vandalize a school, what are they gonna be doing tomorrow, or the rest of their life. This only teaches them that they can get away with whatever. Whats gonna happen when they get in the real world and do something like this or worse. I agree this would have turned out different if these kids where from Hill Top. And who paid for the cleaning supplies used to clean up this mess? What would have happened if somebody would have fell and got hurt from all this stuff on the floors?

Comments like yours demonstrate why Zebulon does'nt need a police force. Cops who defend the guilty and then suggest that It's none of the public's concern don't need a job in law enforement. You don't seem to know who you work for and believe me it can change at any time.
"Comments like yours demonstrate why Zebulon does'nt need a police force."
I'm really not sure where you are going with this.......you apparently have an issue concerning my department.
"Cops who defend the guilty and then suggest that It's none of the public's concern don't need a job in law enforement."
please re-read post... in no way did I defend the actions of members of the senior class. in fact I stated:
"This year went well beyond what could be considered a prank."
I did however state in my post that there was no-one injured and members of the senior class were made to clean up the aforementioned mess prior to the start of the school day primarily to prevent someone getting injured by slipping on the greasy floors. This was in no way a dismissal of the actions of the members of the class.
"You don't seem to know who you work for and believe me it can change at any time."
I am proud to work for the citizens of Zebulon....As I did with Mr Alcars below, Molena Resident, I invite you to actually post your name here rather than hiding behind a Nom De Plume.
Your stupid. Nothing is going to change. Just like that big city of Molena you live in. Find a policeman in Molena to irritate. I have to live in "Rader's City of Zebulon". I want him to be as happy and as cocky as he can be while patroling "his" city.
No it did not cost the taxpayer any money. The kids had to clean up the school & school started on time. Yes they deserve punishment. But no charges should be file. If your child was involved, you would have a different opiion. I'm Sure they will hvae their punishment.
I am confused, can you help me out. You say:
"All I have to say is it wasn't vandalism, because nothing was permanent."
So, if your car is unlocked and I come and borrow it for a period of time, I did not steal your car? Bless you. Many people would have called that theft or vandalism. It would not be breaking and entering because you left the door unlocked for me. You are a kind kid.
I will bring the gas level back to its original amount before I return your car and leave it clean. OK?
I fully intend on bragging about taking your car, especially in the paper, because there is nothing wrong with it. If your Dad complains, just tell him I am a senior..he will understand.
What about what we as parents are supposed to teach our kids? It all starts at home.....if they get away with everything there then they think they can anywhere. The teachers and Principals can only do so much. The days of the paddle are gone because of parents complaining, now they are complaining because of the lack of punishment. Not that I think these kids should not be punished cause they should! However, I think we all need to stop pointing fingers and take a long hard look at our parenting and what "WE" are teaching our kids.
No Suspention, arrested and charged in Juvenile Court and sentence to at least one yr probation and $1,000.00 fine.

The big thing we did was flush cherry bombs down the toilet. Ha-ha what a mess that made. Kids will be kids. Strange...the girls restroom never got hit??????????????
yea, lets gather all these thugs up and arrest them, sent them off to county for 90 days ,then 5 yrs probation, and a felony on their record..that will teach these desperados--..jesus you people kill me..This is harmless senior prank.Other than baby oil and detergent, oil being put in the hall, nothing was destroyed, make them clean it up,(and they did) then keep them cleaning thu-out the rest of the year, iam sure there is plenty of cleaning and yard work to be done, jail!!!you got to be crazy to think jail, make them wish they were in jail.hell if i got caught for the stunts i pulled back in the 50s-60s I would have jump at the chance to have gone to jail over night for doing this,,but make me clean it up,and keep cleaning during the school yr, now that would have been hard time, that would get my attention back then.dont know the principal but he did the right thing..just keep the pressure on the guys involve..

I agree with you Mr. Bray. The students should be punished by cleaning the school throughout the school year. The students who did not return to the school for clean up were irresponsible and should be held accountable for their actions. The students who helped clean up shows that they owned up to their mistake. Having any kind of criminal record makes it difficult (not impossible) for the students to get into college, enter the military, etc. All of this gets checked or asked in an interview or on a job application. The future is not going to be easy for our young people entering the work force and trying to provide for their families. I feel that cleaning up the school for their senior year is punishment enough. Seeking criminal action against these kids via the legal system is punishing the parents. The courts fees, attorney fees then having to get the charges of your record cost $$$$$ and time for the parents away from work. Having once had two boys who attended PCHS and got into some minor trouble with the law (off school property,) I know what these parents are going through. Give the kids and the parents a break.

Great idea to let the kids help clean the school several times during the year! Especially since most of the the custodians are no longer at the schools during the school day. Obviously, the stidemts and their parents did a good job cleaning up the mess the kids made. We are so fortunate to live in a county where the police have intelligence and common sense! I for one am glad the kids were not arrested, but only because they were made to clean up the mess. If the school system employees had been made to clean the mess up and paid for the cleaning materials, that would have been a horse of a different color. God bless Pike County!
First of all, I highly doubt anyone who wasn't there that night knows exactly what happened. All of these students are not problem children that always have their parents coming to their defense. Many students were just there to participate in the usual senior pranking of the exterior area of the building. The door was unlocked, and not all of the students entered the building. All of the students, however, were made to clean the inside. How can we really punish all the students for other's foolishness? How would you feel if your child was there doing the typical senior prank, but was being punished for other student's stupidity? Before you ruin one's future, consider the severity of that individual's partaking in the event.
Ok people. I would like to thank the super and principal and asst. principal, Im thankful that my child goes to a school that employs such fine level headed people such as yourselves. You handled this situation with tact and professionalism. You are to be commended. I truly mean that!
Now for all you stupid people please go and get the earlybird special drink your prune juice and get to bed cause the suns going down.. No taxpayer money was or will be spent and you probably did not even know anything about this til someone told the next day..
We put a car on top of the school & let chickens loose inside the school. We used to spray paint the street our school was on too. It's just Senior tradition. No harm no foul. The ones who did it were caught & had to clean up their mess, I say it should be done with & forgotten about!
This started out as a harmless senior prank. It got out of hand when a few outsiders and over achievers decided to cross the line and messed up the halls. Other than baby oil and detergent being put in the hallways nothing was done that has not been done year after year. Yes even when the old timers were running things! The kids cleaned every inch of this mess up and the parents paid for the supplies so it did not cost any taxpayer anything! The students were at the school cleaning it until after 3:00 in the morning and made to be in class at 8:15. They were punished. I can not speak for all but most were punished at home as well. So, I say thank you administration for keeping a level head and handling the situation in a reasonable manner AND to the rest of you finger pointers, I say "let ye who is without sin, cast the first stone!".
"It did not cost the tax payers anything". Did they clean by candle or flash light because I am thinking they need lights, that cost money. Did the parents bring the water, I am thinking they needed water to clean, that cost money. Did they have to call in extra police officers because of 75 children, I am thinking that cost money. Will the school have to use paper to send home a letter to explain what happened, I am thinking that cost money. Will the school personnel have to answer questions at school because of what happened, that is time and money. Time and effort from this "prank", it cost money.
It is obvious that some people making comments on here don't know what really happened. We should let the people who do know what happened like school officials and law enforcement personel deal with the problem. They need to also stop spreading lies and gossip. Stop trying to ruin the lives of basically good kids!
Sounds like this prank(s) cost money. The names of this trash should be made public. It seems anything goes under this Maddox man. They should have been arrested first along with their parents and cleaned up second. Maybe Mr. Maddox should be arrested for stupidity.
Im a Senior at Pike County, and also participated in the prank. The majority of the students who participated in the prank are Gifted and Honor Students who also participate in extracurricular activities in the school. None of us truly understand the severity of the prank that we did. Everything we did was completely undoable so we didn't think everyone would be so upset about it. We are extremely sorry about the situation, and I know I will definitely not be participtaing in anymore senior pranks. The cops and Maddox have scared us enough. I dont think criminal action is needed because we stayed at the school till 3:45 in the morning and cleaned up every bit of what was done. But for the ones who believe the vending machines were harmed, they most certainly were not. Nothing was done to the school that could cause permanent damage. And Scott John did not start this? He was definitely the best principal Pike has ever seen. He gave the seniors better options than senior pranks, like camping out in the parking lot and socializing. They were also required to have full attendance for everyone who attended the campout at school the next day. So dont bash him just because his ideas are better. Anyway, Duncan is definitely not friends with my parents or many of the others. He had no say in our punishment anyway, that was left up to our principal, Maddox. I know that many of my friends parents, and including my own, have given us punishments at home. So the situation has been taken care of and it wont happen again. And to the complaining taxpayers, WE cleaned up the school so YOU dont have to pay for anything. Nor did school shut down for a day, so stop complaining about that too. If you dont know the entire story, please stay out of it because you are truly making yourself look dumb. It was a meaningless senior prank. Its not like any of you havent made mistakes in your life before. Yes it happened, yes we are in trouble. So leave it alone, it is done and over with. Everything has been taken care of.
You seem mighty tough for a Senior. Put your name out there for us to see. In that case, we will know who to thank for that lonely preposition ending your explosive blog.
This is the work of the Gifted and Honor students. If you are an indication of "the cream of the crop" we have a famine on the way, Honey.
I guess our education system is as pathetic as the corrected scores indicate in Georgia.
If you are an adult and you truly believe that your moral compass is leading you to the promised land, why are you talking down to a student on this forum? Were you not once the same age? Maybe you didn't make the same lapse in judgement as these students but you weren't free from making mistakes. The student admitted it was a mistake and instead of using this forum as a tool to teach, you and others choose to fan the flames of your brand of justice to "let em have it". If they are not going to jail, then you sure aren't going to just let it go and move on. True, they would of rather not been caught. However, I find it an insult to rational adults that live in this county that there are those that spend their time on message boards looking for a cause or in this case, children, to unleash their superiority complex on in the safety of their living room. I'm not excusing the prank, but there are other things more worthy of your time.
well ben, aren't you here wasting time with us? a little hypocritical don't you think?
is your nickname ben "holier than thou" tact?
yes there are more important things to worry about in the world today. and had these fine students not created such a whirlwind by breaking the law and not being punished, we could move on to the more important things.
Benjamin - you just provided us with one of the few intelligent comments on this issue - thank you!

Big Ben, have a little tact and you can pick up some knowledge along the way.
You just couldn't resist poking at Sheila to get her riled up and coming after you.
Fools never learn learn. It seemed she had slacked off a bit with her comments. Now you will wake her up. I'll try to deflect some of her forthcoming shots across your brows.
Defend the trashers if you must, make excuses if you must, act stupid if you must. But, suffer in silence and let sleeping tigresses lie. She is always two steps ahead sneaks.
Your question: Were you not once the same age?
That simple query may leave you wide open for one of her acerbic retorts. Shucks, that's an easy question to answer since we were old school mates since grammar school. I'm sure that sweet lady will inform you that she may have at one time been chronologically the same age as those unrepentent preening pranksters, but, psychologically speaking, she was never a braindead teenager bent on trashing her school. Sweet-Sixteen Sheila was super intelligent at that young age and so mentally advanced as a high schooler, she could have applied for Social Security if the only qualifier had been based on knowledge and mental maturity instead of age. Heck, Sheila would probably been eligible for Medicare as far back as 1966 if it had not been part of Social Security.
I hope this helps you in your mission as an antagonist.
Thank you, Paula. I hope old Benji knows just where I would like to stick my moral compass. For him to crawl out of that closet with the old Army blanket used for a door, he must be 'coming down.' When his buddy gets there with his "coke and a smile" he will crawl back into his hole like the proverbial ground hog that saw the shadow of a Deputy.
The only thing I consider more worthy of my time than blogging about young delinquents is talking to an older fool, so listen up.
Let me put this out there for you in the new modern language of our modern day kids. KMA,DA. If you are not one of the parents of these delinquents, then you are just another member of the "they did nothing wrong...let it slide" group." No, my moral compass will not lead me to the promised land, nor will it win me any public elections.BECAUSE we (basically) have no morals in America anymore.
Because of low class thinkers such as yourself. LOOK AT YOURSELF.........on a blog in which juvenile delinquents brag about trashing their tax-paid high school....in which some of the parents publicly condone the act...and your DA is worried about my moral compass. No, Benji Baby..I did not trash other people's possessions except on one occasion of Halloween and believe me....I never done it again. Even at my young age I was ashamed after the fact, not bragging about it.
You are a huge part of the problem. I have often wondered what happened to cause irresponsible attitude in the kids of today besides having idiot parents, thanks for bringing your stupid self into the spotlight.
This forum is not a tool to teach, you dummy. This forum is a compilation of opinions. The tool to teach is the tax paid school. Can you say "school?" It is that building and teachers for which I involuntary contribute many tax dollars so that children, both delinquent and deserving, can attend.
You are a pitiful excuse for children to witness as an example of taking responsibility.
I am a Senior at Pike County High School. I did partake in the Senior Prank on Wednesday night. It was all meant as harmless and wasn't meant to be blown out of proportion. Every senior class from previous years were allowed permission to go into the school and do the regular senior pranks, which included the petroleum jelly. I remember coming to my locker after Senior Prank Days and having greasy jelly all over my hands. I took the prank as funny, though. There was no harm done. I do agree that some of the Seniors took it too far with the dish detergent and baby oil. I had nothing to do with that but I still stayed til 3 a.m. in the morning to clean up our school for the next day. Some of the seniors (40 out of about 70 that participated) returned to clean, as well. I belive for those that didn't return or that were too scared to come back should have a punishment, though. We didn't think that at the time we were doing this that we could be in so much trouble. I for one, am a student that has never even been to the Principal's office. So being caught by the cops was breathtaking to me. I was terrified and didn't know what to expect. Some of y'all are over-reacting, though. In case you aren't aware, most of these typical senior pranks are done every year at our school. They have just never been caught by the cops, etc. to be blown out of proportion like this prank was. As I said before, the baby oil and dish detergent was taking it too far. I just thank Mr. Maddox and Duncan for not taking it to extremes with our punishment. Those that are saying we should have charges pressed against us, y'all must have nothing better to do than sit and dwell over something that wasn't even permanently harmed and that WE (OURSELVES) cleaned up. We realize we could have been in serious trouble but this is our FUTURES they are dealing with. I promise you, cleaning was bad enough. I will NEVER do that again because I WILL NOT be at school at 3 a.m. cleaning again. It was a lot of hard work, and NO TAX PAYERS MONEY WAS USED TO PAY. And as for saying it's our parents fault, I feel like that is BS. It was never meant to go that far. My parents are awesome parents. Nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. If you say you've never done anything remotely bad or wrong in your life then you must be Jesus. Everyone is entitled to making wrong decisions, this is mine. There is a lot worse things we all could have been doing insteads of pranking the school, such as doing drugs. I believe my parents raised me right. I know most people, including me, are being punished at home. Most of you are missing half the story and listening to gossip and rumors, I promise you'll get no where in life living off lies and what others say. If you don't know what happened, it'd be nice if you stay out of it. Our reputaions are already at stake and most of you are just making it worse.
Vandalism is not just destruction of church property as you stated above. Per Merriam Webster dictionary or if you don't own a dictionary, go to Google "vandalism", it is "wilful or malicious destruction or defacement of public or private property. Learn to use a dictionary or Google before you spout off on any blog in the future.
By Georgia law, vandalism can only occur in a place of worship. The law is OCGA (Official Code of Georgia) 16-7-26. Misdemeanor damage to any other type of property would be criminal trespass OCGA 16-7-21. Felony damage would be damage to property in the first or second degree, based on the circumstances.
Webster's definition and the Official Code of Georgia's definition are often different.
Maybe you should do some reading before you accuse others of ignorance.
Using Websters and OCGA 16-7-21, brings me to a conclusion that the jackass 2012 Seniors are VANDALS who TRESPASSED with CRIMINAL intent and performed UNLAWFUL acts to the detriment of people and property without any consequences.
Yeah, I hate playing the semantics game, but when Elise says, "Learn to use a dictionary or Google before you spout off on any blog in the future", I figured I would tell her that the blogger was technically right.
Not that I'm that technical of a person and I don't really care what people call it. However, people shouldn't be so quick to blast another person, especially when they really don't know what they're talking about.
Well the way I see it is the kids that were involved have made the "Class of 2012" look really bad. Senior Prank--OK, but going in the school; now that is just a little much. All that cleaned, thank you, all that left, they should be charged. What the ###% were they thinking when they entered the school? That was just plain dumb, let them get away with it and just what do you thing they will do as they get older? If you hate the school just quit, get a job and get on with your life. Board members; you were voted in. Are you going to disappoint the citizens of Pike or are you going to make yourselves look just stupid? Newly elected, are you going to try to fit in or do the right thing? The board is suppose to run this school, let this slide and you will have more on your plate than you can imagine. All involved that are school athletes should not be able to continue in their sport, football is not what school is about. Come on BOE set an example with this.
All these people are blowing this way out of proportion. If these were your kids you wouldn't want them in anymore trouble than they are in, let's be real. They cleaned it up and now it's over, there are no remains of this prank anywhere on campus. Most of the people on hear only know what they've heard through the grapevine. There was no real harm done and I highly doubt these senior's will prank the school again.
It was not my kid, my kids were raised better than that! Thanks for your concern!

Going in the school was a bit much? There have been live chickens wandering Pike County High school before as a senior prank. (i don't think they let themselves in?) These kids didn't do it because they hated the school. They did it because seniors do this every year. It's funny. Taken too far at times, but FUNNY. They're finishing their childhood and moving on to become adults in college or the work force. They want to have memories of some of the best days of their lives. For all of you stuck up arrogant ----- who think jail time is nessecary go spend time with your children / grandchildren and remember what it is to have fun again. These kids cleaned up their school and still got to pull of a bit of a prank.
Why dont you look for the good in people and situations instead of looking for the bad? If you would use some of that negativity that you are expressing here in doing positive in your community and others lives, the world and your community would be a better place to live. Treat others as you would have them treat you. Let go of all the hatred you have and do something good with your life. These are kids you are asking our leaders to destroy the lives of! Have you never made an error in judgement?
Why are you wanting to send these kids to jail and prison over a simple senior prank! lighten up. I mean there are more things to worry about like murderers and such. I mean Casey Anthony can get away with killing her own child? But you don't want these kids to get off with a harmless senior prank that was cleaned up by THEM?! Come on now.
Wow....this has always been the problem with Pike County...a bunch of old hard ----- that can't say anything worthwhile except name calling and criticism....lighten up !
What those kids did is classified as a terroristic act, under the bush patriot act. They should be arrested in the dead of night and kept incognito until transported to Gitmo. Their parents, friends, and teachers phones should all be tapped and anyone who has had contact with any of them from the times of their births will be considered suspect. Also, the stores that sold them the luv lube should be boarded up and enclosed in a 12 ft high chain-link fence! Now, let's get real !!!!....LMAO
You people are ridiculous, always looking for something to complain about with your taxdollars, why aren't you all raising hell about foodstamp benefits, social security benefits, wellfare, etc.? This situation was handled great, they made them clean it up at the parents expense, and more punishment is pending. Why go put several charges on 75 kids to make it difficult to get a job in the future? So you can say, "damnit bobby, that's how a taxdollar is spent, to ruin a kids future". Like I said, go complain about how your taxdollars are being wasted in millions, not on a one night senior prank.
I am also a member of the class of 2012, I also am a very big leader in that class. Not to mention, I was one who stood in front of a door and begged my class mates not to go inside, but they did and now I am guilty too just for being there, which is fine with me because we are all as one. Guys, I have made straight A's my entire life, I have SO much going for me, but of course I want to have a little fun, I mean I bought chalk for the sidewalk of the school, little things like that have become a tradition at PiCoHi. As far as that baby oil and what not, that was ridiculous. I agree with all of you, there was NO need for that, but at the same time you have to realize we are sixteen/seventeen year old KIDS who don't tend to think before we act, even if YOU haven't put baby oil someplace, you have surely done something you regret! We are all completely apologetic for our actions... If we weren't we could have all EASILY ran from the cops that night, but we did what was right. We surely don't need all of you so called adults making ANY type of judgement. I am also pretty positive that you should NEVER bash Mr. Maddox, Mr. Tharpe, Dr. Duncan, or any Zebulon Police, this had NOTHING to do with them beside the fact that they took time out of their night to care about the school so much! That group of people is the BEST thing Pike County has EVER seen, hands down. If you don't go to our school, you would not know. I am more than thankful to have them in my life, not because they saved me but I am able to seek Mr. Maddox for help whenever I need it, he will go out of his way for ANYONE, now that is a good principle. So to the rest of you, I am sincerely sorry for that damage that was caused at the school, but I can promise you it is all cleaned up and it is NOT going to happen again, we have truly learned a lesson, a lesson that will save us years down the road. We have endured plenty of punishment, even from the teachers looks we get at school. We are all willing to fess up, because we realize the harm we could have done. I am glad we got caught Wednesday night cause it would have been way worse the next morning, you parents should be as well. Now to all of you that have nothing better to to that sit here and watch the notifications, please drop it now. It is done and over with. Like I said, I am very sorry, every sigle one of us are.
This must be Alyssa Riggs.. No one cares that you make straight As or that you are the captain of the cheerleading swad. What you did was wrong, and acting all innocent isn't going to pull you out of this one. I would never look up to you, especially if you have enough nerve to trash your our school system. I love Pike County High School and all the great people in it. The students that participated in this what should've been a fun senior prank, but got way out of hand should be punished. Seriously, kids could have slipped on the floors and got servely ingured. Not to mention you all broke several laws: breaking and entering, vandulism, and trespassing. The parents are irresponisble for letting their children go out at ten o'clock, the day before school. The whole situation is very ridiculous and should be taking into more serious matters!
We know what happened was wrong. The police and detective scared us all. And as for withdrawing us from our sport, I feel that is unnecessary. It's my senior year. I have been involved in my sport for 4 years with the school. My sport is what I live for. I thoroughly enjoy it and wouldn't trade it for anything. I've paid thousands of dollars to participate in my sport thorughout the years, and I for one know that the economy is tough. Our money is non-refunable. My parents have been so supporting at all of my sporting events. I believe that would be uncalled for to make us quit our sports now. And the ones that keep saying, "I can't believe they entered the school!"....Well, for your information, all the senior classes before us have entered the school as well. And the school was a mess. Maybe not to the extent of what it was Thursday morning (with the baby oil), but you all are criticizing our class of 2012 for something that is done every year. I suppose most tax payers wouldn't know that, though because it has never been made public such as our senior prank was. We cleaned every bit of it up. We left nothing for anyone to see. Apparently, some of you don't have older teenagers. I have 4 sisters, yes the youunger ones are a mess....but teenagers are a completely different story. I;m not even a bad child what so ever. I just got caught up that night doing something I shouldn't have. If these were your kids, think aout what you would want to happen to their future. Every one of you is trying to ruin all of our plans for college and for our future careers. Leave it alone. It is all being delt with by Mr. Maddox and our parents.
I don't think that you are mature enough for college next year, you and all the others involved in "messing up" the school as you call it should have to work every weekend all school year to pay for all the damages you caused. As punishment, you should be prohibited from participating in any sports during this school term. It is not a prank, it is wanton disregard for the school property that you have not paid a penny towards yet, but when you are old enough to pay your fair share of taxes, then you'll see how ignorant your actions are. You and all your fellow seniors think you know it all now, but once you graduate from high school and go out into the real world you will see how little you really do know. Your parents have probably worked 2 jobs just to keep clothes on your back, a roof over your head and food enough to keep you tipping the scales at 25 lbs over the normal weight for a kid your age. Anyone who would deliberately ruin a school does not deserve free education, you should have to pay your own way, then you would know that we as taxpayers do not enjoy paying for hoodlum kids such as you who think it is so hilarious to destroy school property. If you do not have enough self-discipline to refrain from committing these heinous acts of vandalism, then you certainly are not mature enough to graduate from elementary school, let alone graduate from high school. If kids had done something like this where I grew up, they would have been sent to reform school until they were 21 years old, then they would be required to pay for all the damages they caused. My advice to all you seniors who did all this vandalism, grow up and be thankful that you have free public education, if your parents had to pay for private education, I know they would not think it is so funny that their babies acted out because the private school would require your parents to pay for all the damages that you caused. It will be interesting to see how many of you seniors end up in prison within the next ten years since you have no respect for other people's property.
Excuse me, Elise...Is it? I believe I am highly mature for my age. Only if you knew half of us, you would know we were all good kids. We didn't intentionally harm anything. Or damage anything that we should have to "work on the weekends to pay off". Your taxpaying money had nothing to do with this prank, at all. It was all cleaned up by the people that were actualy brave enough to stand up and say we did it. I have no clue if you are aware, but senior pranks are done every year. And before you go pointing fingers at me saying that "I along with all my other Senior classmates",.....We all did different things to the school. You are talking to a girl here that painted with window paint on the windows....What HARM does that bring to the school? NONE. We cleaned it up. You can't sit here and criticize me or the est of us for something that some of us had no part in. Others, don't think about what they do beofre thy do it. I don't sometimes either. And I know you have made mistakes in your life, too. They're are things we all regret. None of y'all know us or who we are. And as for quitting our sports, I feel that is unecessary. I have paid thousands of dollars to do my sport and without us on the teams, there will be no teams. No good football team, basebal team, no cheerleading team, no good track team. Think about everyone before you go trying to punish all of us for something some of us barely had any doings with. I do have respect for other people's property. I;ve never been a trouble child in my life and I would never deliberately vandalize somebody's property out of spite. It was a senior prank, most of this is done EVERY year (minus the baby oil). So before punishing our class, go back and punish all the other classes as well. Everytime I came into school there was petroleum jelly on our lockers, and the seniors never had to clean it off....You either delt with it or cleaned it. We at least cleaned every bit of it up! Not a thing was left. We are all truly sorry, and it shouldn't have happend. But we're 16 and 17 years old. We don't always think. If these were your kids, you wouldn't want their futures ruined by one meant-to-be harmless senior prank. If yoiu say, you would have your own children treated that way and thrown in jail, then your lying to yourself. You wouldn't know how it feels as a parent to be put in that position unless you actually have, and I doubt you have. So again, we are all sorry. Truly, we are. I would never mean to start this much stuff. I promise. Mr. Maddox has delt with it and so has our parents. So it would be nice if everyone that doesn't know the whole story and that has nothing to do with it, would just stay out of it. Most of you don't know the whole story anyways and are just spreading rumors. The school is spotlesss, we are being punished, and we are all truly sorry.
I was not going to comment on this however, I disagree with the statement "we would'nt have any good teams." There are plenty of great atheletes that did not participate in this "prank". My children are super at what they do and would dominate given the opportunity to play or compete! By saying this you are insulting so many classmates that do not deserve that!
Hello me. I have been missing you and your wisdom. You can rest assured that your boys are properly reared and would not have been caught up in this fiasco.
The saddest part of this entire episode is reading the comments posted by seniors.
I hope they speak better than they write. There is no valedictorian material in this group. In fact, most should be repeating their senior year. Perhaps they saved a little vaseline and baby oil.
what the heck were you sleep walking or you accidentally thrashed the school? your statement makes no sense. mature? yeah right. not with a stupid statement like that. if yall didn't get caught the mess would have been the schools burden to clean up. just because you were stupid enough to get caught and forced to clean up the mess you want to put a whole new spin on what happened. anyone with half a brain including the prosecutor needs to figure how things would have played out if you all got away with it. if pike county is stupid enough to let this slide at least you will learn a valuable lesson. don't get caught on your next prank and the tax payers will clean up the mess you left behind.

for what? from what i see i can spell better than the pike county seniors! read their posts. and i haven't been in a classroom for over 25 years. i don't think any of them could blog without misspelling words. that is why i think the police should go easy on them. they sure as heck aren't the brightest bunch. if i have to get my GED through a pike county english teacher it should be a "peace of cake".
"Mature enough for college", not everyone gets a free ride to college. I worked my way through college and earned a B.A. and M.A. when those degrees had to be earned. I didn't have Mommy and Daddy or the government pay my way so you don't know what you are talking about "Animal House". Your name describes you to a "T" since you are an immature person who thinks life is just one big party.
BTW: Animal House was a lame movie just like your response.

Being I do not have a daddy you do know what you are talking about? Elsie you are clueless as usual. Something tells me with your degrees you still don't make crap. Oh I frogot did I mention I have a P.H.D.?
"Elsie".........no, my name is Elise..E l i s e, got it. Your lack of reading comprehension is showing. So does P.H.D. mean Pretty Huge Drip? Or Pete's Hot Dog? or Pity His Daddy?
What makes us kids so guilty? Parents and taxpaters are just as guilty. You allow roofs to leak, air conditioners to not work, allow us to go to school in trailers, weeds to grow in what is or was supposed to be landscaping or flower beds, there is erosion in our lawns, we have no track, we have no decent autitorium, the pavement is coming apart, the septic system backs up at the baseball field every year, you use porta johns at a football game, you don't keep the grass cut, kudzu is over taking our campus and there is a traffic jam twice a day.
What we did was miniscule compared to the adults of this community
I offer a proposal - instead of another prank for which you will be negatively remembered - show Pike County and the world the "stuff" of which you are truly made. It is time to step up and SHOW all who would say otherwise what 2012 is truly made of.
the tax payers have paid $23 million this year alone to maintain those items. ask yourself where all of that money is going? you can't blame the taxpayers for money not being spent in the appropriate way.
The point is not whining about where the money went - it is gone. The point is about doing someting now - make a difference - DO something. I dare you!
I just find it hard to believe that the parents of 75 teenagers had NO idea where their kids were that night and what they were doing. That's the real shame here. Parents..know where your kids are. Know what they are doing.
And a couple words of advice to you kids:
1. Just because a door is not locked, that is not an invitation for you to enter that building. Criminal trespass is a crime, even if the door is standing wide open if you have not been invited to go through it.
2. Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense in court. More than one of you posted here that you were not aware that your actions were illegal. That is a childish excuse that won't stand once you all turn 18 years old in the next year.
That being said..I don't see why the school couldn't give the janitor a week off and let those kids clean the school. Let them see how it is to be punished beyond just cleaning up what they intentionally messed up.
It is true the entire custodial staff lost their jobs earlier this summer--to save the school system $224,000.00. Here's an idea for punishing the students. Have them mow lawns, wash cars, sell doughnuts, clean houses, etc. until they collectively earn $224,000.00 to hire the custodial staff back.
I'm at PC, too, and I think it's funny some seniors are on here asking people to be kind to them, etc. when they have been in school this week bragging about "running this place." They are showing off the pictures on their cell phones and posting on facebook about how wild they are. They are already talking about "the next time." So, I doubt they are really all that sorry. They are just sorry they got caught.
FYI, We are all excited to be Seniors. You know when you were a senior you felt some sort of authority, not that I am rude towards younger kids or anything because I'm friends with all of the underclassmen at the school. Most of us personaly are sorry, including me. I'm not sorry I got caught, actually. I'm GLAD I got caught because it taught me a lesson. So thank you, "AlsoatPC" for you input. I know what I did was wrong. We as seniors all did our own seperate things to the school, some not as bad as others. We all went down together. But I believe punishing everyone for other's mistakes isn't fair. So think about that before you go pointing fingers. I don't ask for you to be kind to me, I don't want any sympathy. I want you all to realize it wasn't done out of spite because we hate school or anything. It was meant to be funny, but was taken too far.
~Those wannabe boy gangstas need to be shocked into reality and realize they aren't tough just because they carry Copenhagen and Vaseline in the back pockets of their jeans. Their loud mud-bogged splattered 4-wheel drive pickups need to be towed to a junk yard. Those girl wannabe gangsta molls aren't tough just because they use "like" every third word in a sentence and text 20 minutes out of the hour. I will admit SOME of the larger "gurls" who display mangled peroxide blonde hair and wear cowgirl boots up to their Daisy Dukes appear intimidating to this old timer.
The trashing of a school is shameful! Did these idiots learn this behavior at home?
They have no respect for their classmates, teachers, parents, themselves or the community!
I have a solution to curb their egregious behavior. I suggest a thug swap be initiated with Crim High School in the Atlanta area. That fine inner city institution has a firm hold on the position of being 397 out of 399 in the worst High School rankings in Georgia. The Crim students and faculty are toiling extremely hard to reach the lofty number one ranking as the worst school. That magic 399 is in their sights. Crim High has an abundance of real thugs available to come down and enlighten the wannabe thugs at rural PCHS. The students who trashed PCHS can be be swapped for an equal number of "plain ordinary" Crim High students for a period of three months. This way the disadvantaged Crim High students can teach the remaining rural clod-hoppers at PCHS how to really act up in the future.
As a result, the PCHS "trashers" will be attending a school where real street thuggery degrees are earned with on the job training to benefit them in their future criminal endeavors.
A side note FYI:
Former principal Andre Lescot Williams is out of jail now and is possibly available as a texting tutor to the rookies from PCHS. Look 'em up!~

~Has any authority figure from the Pike County school system or Sheriff's Department turned the names of these offending students over to the Department of Homeland Security?
Fox News is reporting homegrown terrorist cells are silently being formed in our rural communities and in our over crowded prisons. Small criminal acts lead to larger criminal acts. You know, it's like little kids who tortue small animals grow up to be adult murderers. Seemingly innocent terroristic acts perpetrated on rural high school facilities can possibly lead to acts against government buildings and society in general if the initial thrill seeking threshold wasn't reached with a school trashing. One thing leads to another!
If Janet Napolitano @ DHS isn't going to be notified, all the vandalizing students names should be released to Akins Feed and other area farm supply outlets along with all gas stations. This act is necessary so any order for the sale of large quantities of ammonium nitrate fertilizer and diesel fuel can be monitored. Think about it! BOOM!
Everyone needs to remain vigilant for terrorists like like I watched for Japanese and German saboteurs in the early days of WWII. While shopping at Freshway on Friday, I noticed some really shady characters disguised as local po' folks along with some youngsters pretending to be students. I don't think they were students because they didn't have cell phones, spiked hair and spoke intelligently without using a single "you know" and "like" and "ya got that right" in their conversations. They talked a lot about someone named Fas Buk.
After Freshway, I stopped at the Zeb Chevron station to fuel my old Pinto station wagon.
I really kept my eyes on three obviously PCHS BMOC students in a beat up old Chevy pickup. I was ready to call 911 if they had pumped diesel fuel into that bent up 55 gal steel drum rolling around in the truck bed. They only bought chewing tabacky and $5.00 worth of regular and I presumed they would get the diesel fuel later. That $5.00 purchase was enough to get them a mile or so to the parking lots at Ruth's or the school where they could use their Oklahoma Credit Card to secure more gasoline for their ratty jealopy. Watch out for them!
FYI: Just for voting NO on raising the $14.7 T Debt Limit, my honest Tea Party elected politicians were branded TERRORISTS by the oBUMa henchmen. Are these PCHS vandals also terrorists? Do they deserve any less? Any more?

Easy Auntie Sheila. Maybe you commented too hastily. Surely you don't suggest the birth mother should have been severely beaten over her body with a metal digging tool known as a spade? Being spaded is a rather drastic punishment to receive when one is in a weakened physical condition. That is akin to being shoveled or being hoed. Brrrrr.
Perhaps you misspoke and instead meant to direct harsh words at ha-ha indicating that you desired his Ma-Ma not to be able to bear any future siblings. That is understandable in hokey ha-ha's case. Maybe if you prayed for ha-ha's Ma-Ma to receive a complete ovariohysterectomy, that would be comparative to a dog being SPAYED thus prohibiting any more litters from a canine Ma-Ma.
If one wants to misspell SPAYED, it would be SPADED. I hope you don't raise your cane at your favorite lil' man, because you always told me to call a SPADE a SPADE.
I just did...Hee--hee--heee :~)
That is why you have always been my favorite nephew. You obeyed when I told you to "call it like you see it." In fact, you know that I named my talking parrot after you. You do still have my parrot named Moses, don't you? You have not taught him any ugly words, right?
Did I tell you about last Thanksgiving? Moses was talking so ugly, dam this and dam that, he just refused to stop. I threw him in the freezer for about 10 minutes. I took him out and he said, "It wasn't so bad, my dam feathers kept me warm." I pulled out about half the feathers on his head and threw him back in for 10 more minutes. Upon removal, he said, "Dam, it is a little chilly, but nothing Moses can't handle." So, I pulled out his feathers until he was completely bald and tossed him in the freezer again. I opened the freezer again. He slowly raised his old featherless head as I asked, "Do you have any comments to make now?" He looked over toward my Thanksgiving turkey and said, "No Ma'am, but I do have a question. What did that dam turkey say?"
That is when I gave Moses to you. How is my sweet bird doing?

You are ridiculous. I think you should be charged for animal cruelty for that. How would you feel if someone stuck you in a freezer for saying something they didn't like and then plucked all the hairs out of your head? You wouldn't like it would you? I dislike you very much... sure wish I could stick you in a freezer!
BTW: it's spelt damn. You are just as bad as the seniors you claim can't spell.
there are worse things than could happen. on the farm next to mine, a field hand when crazy and raked a couple of his female co-workers.
now he is a registered farm offender. terrible.
See comment 101.....you, my dear, can visualize your name and the name of your offspring in this article from London, England. Our turn is right around the corner, see how cocky you are when a flash mob kills someone you love or causes this same kind of havoc in Pike. Brag today about getting by without punishment but be willing to shoulder your part of the blame when the riots start in Pike.
Why don't some of you stupid people on here take the time to get to know Mike Maddox, he is a great guy and I'm personally glad he is the principal at the high school. Pike County couldn't ask for a better man. Obviously, your just jelious.
It's done, punishment has been given, NOW GET OVER IT you can't change it.
I must disagree with the comment that Mike Maddox is a good guy. In my dealings with him as a parent of an honor student that was falsely accused of something and wrongly punished I have found him to have a horrible temper, jumps to conclusions without all of the facts, and basically is a bully that will not admit when he is wrong. I do not want to see these students convicted of a crime but I do think they should get more than a slap on the hand. I know for a fact that Mike Maddox's son is a senior and was at the school during this prank and that some of the other kids involved are relatives of elected board members. I guess it's all in who you are related to....
Excuse me? As the actual son of Mr. Maddox, I can rightfully confirm that I was NOT involved in the actions that took place that night. So please tell me how you "know for a fact" that I was there before accusing someone you don't know of doing something so juvenile over an anonymous message board.
The juvenile actions of some in the so called Senior Class of Pike makes it difficult for the innocent law abiding members of that class. Any future job applications coming across my desk for approval will receive more than a cursory glance before I employ anyone who may not be trustworthy. The school has been given a black eye by some twits. Numerous excuses have been presented in this forum trying to mitigate the negative publicity. It's not working!
More Seniors were NOT involved than WERE involved. Please do not hold their actions against the rest of the class. My son has diligently applied EVERYWHERE only to be turned down by people who wrongly assume that all people this age are irresponsible. Please reevaluate your assumptions and give these kids a chance to gain valuable experience that will prepare them to become useful employees in the future.
I am a senior, however I did not participate nor did I even know about this. Although I can say, our senior prank was nothing like last years. Those birds being released in the school was cruel. I believe it was a fun senior prank, something cleanable, not deadly. No one or objects got hurt. They got caught, had to clean it up, and now everyone knows and now wants to say stuff. If you all are so mature, why the rude comments? I think we all need a prayer in our minds for ourselves tonight.
I am confused by the comments "nothing was permanently damaged". I was told my some students involved that the teacher's break room and was broken into and damaged, that a microwave was thrown on the floor and destroyed. I was also told that a crude image and some crude words were spray painted in the court yard. I suppose these students could have lied, but they were there, so not sure why they would have lied about that. I also know that some of the parents of some of these students were in local businesses on Friday laughing about what their kids had gotten by with. The school board is a joke and needs to replaced. Obviously if the prinicpal's son or some of the board members kids or grandkids are involved then no punishment is necessary.
Dumb? You bet.Criminal mischief ? Yep. To a level that charges should haunt someone for the rest of their lives? Hardly.I have seen too often the label criminal slapped on the immature and define a person right into the penal system. Maybe all kids, parents and school admins need to look at setting boundaries and expectations that are in line with those of the real adult world these kids are about to enter.
I believe kids should be punished for what they do. The problem is Mike Maddox picks and choose who and when he punishes. The man treats the high school kids like preschoolers and that is why they act this way to get at him. Treat people with respect and don't talk out of both sides of your mouth and you will gain respect. Treat people the way you have been treating them and this is what you get. Mike Maddox is your problem, the kids are just lashing out in desperation, saying, "help us please." The school board needs to recognize the problem and act swiftly to correct it. Let Maddox Go!
so lance did you punish coleman? because he was there. he also had his buddy sign his name on the list saying he came back to clean up and he DID NOT come back and help do anything! sweep your own porch buddy before you start pointing fingers!
Look on the bright side, everyone... It could have been worse. At least they cleaned it up. :) It's all over with... why argue about something from the past?
The deed was done, the kids were caught, it was NOT a terroristic act as someone so STUPIDLY put it, it was a senior prank, but why do it at the beginning of the year, not only does it reflect on the whole senior class, but also on the PARENTS too, no matter what one senior stated, that it shouldnt reflect on the parents themselves, yes it should if you were taught better you would have thought better, I think Sheriff Thomas and principal Maddox handled it well, dont make criminals out of these KIDS, and yes I say kids because this was a childish act, no matter how old and upstanding they all think they are
with the hate-filled comments toward children on this thread, I am not surprised at their lack of respect for authority. With the way our local, state and federal governments fail each day, respect for authority is not in our future either.
Ignorance breeds ignorance. Congratulations.
Let me tell you something, I am MORE than mature. I work EVERY SINGLE day after cheerleading, I make close to 300 dollars a week. Don't you DARE tell me I am not ready for college, Elise or whoever you are. I have a 4.0 grade average. GROW UP, seriously? Let me see how you are living you "perfect" life before you tell me something I'm not! YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!!!! Oh, and btw my parents knew where I was this night, I was glad to tell them because they trust me, I mean shoot if you didn't do fun things like this your senior year that means you were probably the nerd who locked themselves in the closet!!! Oh, And you pointing fingers saying that small children grow to be murderers, ARE YOU KIDDING? That is SO dumb, I cannot believe how immature you all are. GROW UP AND DROP IT! Step foot in the shoes of a 17 year old in this day and age then you can point fingers, but for now get the stick out of your ass and go someplacce!!!!
You, my dear, are a bully. Why would you call anyone a nerd? Those are strong words. Do you go around school picking on nerds? Are you a "Plastic"? What makes you better than the nerds?
Someone needs to whip those disrespectful comments out of your cheer leading mouth, young punk. I would have used young lady, but that word commands respect. By the way, "cheerleading" is two words, not one. Cheerleader, on the other hand, is one word. Since a person only comprehends 80% of what they are taught, we obviously have some idiots being groomed in our world today. An even sadder note, this is from a "supposedly" highly recommended school. The reform schools and Teen Challenge must not have been included in the survey.
~~The PCJR readers appreciate the raw courage exhibited by Walter Geiger in reporting this local trashy news event. The Pike coummunity salutes Walter. S-a-a-l-u-t-e! Amen!~~
~ Reply to Zebulon Police Officer Keith Rader ~
Officer Rader, you have served upon the readers of this fine newspaper a large and chewy chunk of tripe to swallow! It is rather difficult to ruminate your comment and at the same time digest its true meaning without suffering severe gastrointestinal disturbance.
Your responsibility as a responding police officer who is not in charge of the scene is to observe and make an incident report. Are you the Public Information Officer for the Zebulon Police Department publishing an official position on the dastardly deeds of the miscreant school trashers? If you are not the PIO, your observations as an officer on the scene should have been kept in your written report and not carried over to this comment section where you display favoritism toward your pals and their children. From your own stated count, there were at least a dozen adults present including the PCS Superintendent, PCHS Principal, police officers and several parents. Were some of the student trashers related to the school officials and police or YOU? Is this a cover up? Your comment and lack of real action by school administrators by sweeping the incident under the rug smacks of the Pike County "good old boys network". Chastising local citizen Donna while you continue to act under the guise of authority is w-a-a-aay out of line. Who put whose foot in their mouth? I vote YOU!
You wrote: "Every year the Senior class attempts to out do the previous Senior class in the scope of its Senior pranks. This year went well beyond what could be considered a prank."
BFD! Your benign dismissal of the 2012 Class "pranks" and acceptance of future Senior Class "pranks" leaves me scratching my old bald head. Are we to expect an escalation of the seriousness of future Senior Classes?
Let's see, Class of 2013 can break out all the school windows and pour used motor oil on the gym floor, Class 2014 can rip out the copper wiring, steal the school computers and sell all of it in order to fund a graduating class beer bash. In keeping with the "escalating prank" scenario, the Class of 2015 will really have to perform in order to maintain the Senior Class "prank" tradition. Maybe they can start out with some well fueled "prank fires" and burn down the school in their celebratory exuberance. The Pike Volunteer Firemen doesn't have the training and assets to stop a fire of that magnitude and flames could spread to nearby properties causing a major disaster just because the Senior Class Of 2015 were carrying on an accepted school tradition. Who knows what the Class of 2020 will do!
As highly decorated police officer Barney Fife has eloquently stated so many times at the first sign of youngsters going wrong, "we got to nip it in the bud, nip it, nip it, nip it".That's right!
I agree, I look forward to a statement from the Pike County School Superintendent whereas ALL future Senior Class crimes known as "pranks" are banned under the penalty of immediate expulsion from classes with no graduation. Extreme measure? No way!
As Moochelle oBUMa sez, "the future of our chillren are at steak".
Rader writes: "By the way Chief Ledbetter is doing a excellent job for the City of Zebulon."
Hmmpf! You are not as savvy as Officer Barney Fife. In your attempt to rack up some "brownie points" with Ledbetter, how can you see what kind of job the Chief is doing when your facial anatomical protuberance is so acutely juxtapositioned against the chief's posterior?
When I read Rader's educated post I knew some hater would come back with some stupid blog about it that looks like it was written after they drank a whole bottle of liquor. I thought it would be Tolley but you were my second guess.
Rader is a fine officer who serves Zebulon well. As he spreads his wisdom you would rather spread stupidity. Just from comparing posts it is obvious that you do not even have half the brain as Rader.
Dear City of Zebulon,
Why are you bringing my sweet name into this Hall of Horrors? I have been so polite that I have locked myself out of my own computer. You will be relieved to know that I am back on duty. What in the heck happened? I am gone for a few days and all the honor students that have been promoted due to the "no students left behind" policy are celebrating on line. They are truly pitiful in their 'ritings and ramblins' aren't they? I know of one solid way of shutting up Jeff Foxworthy. Have all these honor seniors, who now have their mopping degree, take the test for Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, he will have NO contestants.
So I guess that the 1st amendment of our beloved U.S. Constitution no longer applies to me since I pinned on a badge. My comments are mine and not representative of my department. I guess in this day of political correctness I have to ensure that I put a disclaimer on everything I post anywhere. At least I had the guts to put my name on my post....
It seems to me that you need to re-read my post Mr Alcars. In no way did I condone the behavior of the class of 2012. What I DID say was that the decision to prosecute or not to prosecute the offenders lay in the hands of the school board along with the PCSO. As a taxpayer in this county I do not always agree with the decisions of the PC school system but in this instance I do happen to agree with them as long as this behavior will be addressed and prevented in the future, and as long as the offenders have some repercussions for their actions either academically, at home, or both.
By the way Mr Alcars; you are as guilty of supposition as was "Donna". She assumed that the jurisdictional responsibility of the school system lay with the city when in fact it was with the county. You sir assume that
1:I am "pals" with all of the people at the school ...all the students parents, etc.
2:I have children or relatives that were involved in the incident.
3: that there will be no further action on the part of the school system or PCSO in relation to this incident.
You would be wrong on the first two counts and I have no knowledge of the third.
You have accused me of feeding the readers of the Journal Reporter tripe. Please read your post which is full of the future exploits of classes yet to be. Perhaps you should change your moniker to "The Ghost of PCHS Future" since you seem to know everything that will transpire in the years to come.
My dear Mr Alcars, Anyone that knows me knows that I will remain loyal to my employer as long as they earn that loyalty... and I will criticize them when they are in the wrong. This includes my chain of command and in no way should be construed as "brown nosing". I will defend my fellow officers against unwarranted accusations regardless of rank. I stand by my statement sir. The chief is doing an excellent job and should not be attacked with baseless allegations.
I am not the PIO for my department nor do I consider this a press release. This is a blog, a forum if you will, for the comments of the citizens of this county. I am a citizen of Pike sir, and as such have every right to post here. You applauded Mr Geiger for his courage at the opening of your post sir. How about lets pull oneself up by the bootstraps and put a name with your post. I did.
Finally sir, I may not agree with your comments, but I shall respect your right to have and share them.
uh oh!... I done it now. I done pithed off a genuine badge toter. Officer Rader is probably running me through all the criminal databases at his disposal trying to identify me and my car. I hope the speeding ticket I earned in 1949 isn't still on the books. Daddy warned me not to speed in our old 36 Plymouth, but, the temptation was too great. I opened the old girl up and hit a neck snapping 47 mph through Riverdale. Man, that was faaaaaasst!
The ticket cost me only $8.00 since the fat a$$ cop only estimated my speed.
We didn't have electronic speed detecting devices like RADAR back in the day.
RADAR!...RADER!..hmmm...OMG! 'Rader on Radar'! I'm toast. He has so many hiding places in town to nab speeders. Maybe if I have the beautiful blue paint job on my Pinto changed to a subtle day- glow orange or bright canary yellow, he won't notice me and I will be able to creep through Zeb without 'Rader on Radar' even noticing me.
I've never had a driver's license or car registration, so at least he doesn't have my physical description. There isn't any tag info on file because I've used the same 30 day car dealer tag for the past 16 years. Eagle eyed Officer Larry Campbell stopped me a couple of years ago, but, I lucked out as that fine officer received an emergency call as he slowly waddled up to my car. He told me to go and he roared away burning rubber with his cruiser lights flashing and the siren wailing. I was lucky that day because Campbell is a smart cop and would have "run me in".
This unfortunate incident with our local constabulary started because I commented using satirical musings coupled with futuristic hypotheticals regarding the school vandals. An exception was taken by Officer Rader and I believe he is bent on tracking me down.
I'm skeered! Really skeered! I'm too old to be looking over my shoulder anticipating a bust by Officer Rader. I promise to taper off on my local comments and stay off the roads for two days...no, make that two weeks if Rader will lay off me. OK? OK? Deal?
Oh, Keith, can I call you Keith since you are writing as a plain United States Constitution loving citizen like me? Anyway, Keith, I use my real name. I know, I know, you are trying to "run" me through all your LE databases with no hits. I suppose it's because I have no official documents or property records to prove I am really Call N. Alcars. You will have to be satisfied with my name, Call. Give Google a try and you might read some of my older satirical commentaries and sniff me out. I do use a pseudonym when I comment on HuffPo and NYT. I don't suppose you read those leftist rags.
Oh! can I use Sheila Tolley as a reference? Everyone knows that local shining star and she always speaks very highly of me and my very lovely wife Sueme.
It has been good chatting with you Keith, but, I have to go and start sanding down the Pinto to prep it for primer and paint even though I may avoid Zebulon altogether. As they say on one of the old TV Land shows, "wagons ho". Wait! Wait! I got that wrong, that was Major Adams out on the prairie somewhere in Nebraska. I believe it was the program where ugly old Sgt. Phil Esterhaus told his police squad, "Let's be careful out there."
You betcha! Old Call means it too!

No need to avoid the good city of Zebulon in your meanderings... I am not lookin' fer ya. If ya happen to be in my fair city and run into me I'll buy you a sweet tea at Ruths or a coke at Flash... (By the way..you might want to see someone about that paranoia)

"my fair city"
I told you all this cocky bastard is larger than life. He just declared the city of Zebulon his. He can have his fair city. It's just a small part of my unfair world.
That is where you are wrong sir. As soon as you put your name in that box everything you post does represent the City of Zebulon sir. If you just wanted to voice an opinion without coming off cocky you would have remained anonymous sir. But you think the power of your badge makes you bigger than life sir.
Sure people, post your real name so Rader knows who you are when he is deciding if he should take you to jail for something you MIGHT have done in a drunken stupor. Or some other confusion you might have had about how free America really is.
Zebulon P.D. is a trip. I used to have an officer of the Z.P.D. living across the road from me. It made me paranoid until I found out he smoked more weed than I did. He is no longer on the force or across the street.
I choose myself to remain anonymous. I don't know if its your car modified to transport people you decide should be in a cage, that you carry a gun, or that you stand about 6 foot 5. But I definitely would not want to have any confrontation with you. I know Sheila Tolley is holding back with her smart ass comments because she knows she is "over the limit" quite often when she sails through Zebulon.
As a resident of Zebulon I have been honored to have you in my living room and have also had the pleasure of some small talk on the side of the road. Heck now that I think about it I have had the honor of you drawing your gun on me! True sh@t. Hey if society ever changes its mind and lets me carry a firearm I will start using my real name. This way I can be a tough guy too. Until then you can just go on with your cocky self.
hey, FB, does that GA. law allow persons with dubious backgrounds or mental health issues to possess weapons openly? i dont know if mayhem fits into that catagoty, but, i'm sure one of Zebulons finest will inform us. mayhem seems pretty normal to me so maybe he can get himself a stick of dynamite, a cannon, a glock or a hand grenade for protection. possessing dynamite is legal, i think.
That is your own fought, that woud be based on something stupid you desided to do. If you were a law abiding citizen then you too could legally own a firearm. If you did nothing wrong then Rader or other police woutdnt have to waste their time on you .And by your post , you have learned nothing. So I am sure the day will come when Raderr and/or others will have their guns at your head again. And you will join the other scum in the cage. Man , If I didn't know my uncle wasin jail , I would swear you were him. It's sad that some people can't learn from their stupid choices and grow up.
Yeah I will remember that. Sure do not want to take time away from him when he is sitting at Ruths, drinking his sweet tea, and polishing his badge. Just because your uncle is a scumbag don't think that all people who have been in trouble with the law are. Just because scumbag's are in your family's blood lines doesnt mean they are in everyones.
So in your mind if Rader comes after you you are automaticaly guilty. Funny. Most would ask for an investigation and a trial to determine that. If your uncle is as bright as you I can see why he is in the big house.
Go back to shooting holes in paper.

Has been...or...never was, you are no mathmatical genuis! You must be a recipient of one of those allotted PCHS graduations allowing a social diploma to be given to a 21 year old.
FYI, I'm considered to be a virile 79 year young stud who functions nicely without the assistance of Viagra, Metamucil, dentures or eyeglasses. You should not worry about my eyesight or my ability to operate a computer. Most of the time I type with only my left hand.
I've always had 20/20 vision and have been expertly plunking on a keyboard since I was given an Apple II by Steve Wozniak in 1977. Later, my computer expertise permitted me to assist Al Gore when he was in the process of inventing the Internet. Ahh...good times!
Has Been, I have a math problem for you. WHAT YEAR IS THIS and WHAT IS MY AGE?

Unlawful entry, trespassing, criminal mischief, reckless conduct are a few conditions that apply to this incident, in my opinion. The defenders ( parents & students ) call it a prank. Sheriff Thomas and the DA's office should act upon prosecution of any charges that may apply. If not, throw out the student handbook and "Do Not Dare" discipline any other student for any infraction regardless.
As a parent of a recent graduate "Class of 2011" I am appalled by the sheer stupidity of the students. Also, I am disgusted by the comments and actions of the parents, BOE, superintendant, and principal(s). Actually, last year I told my son not to participate in any type of prank regardless, just for this reason. I applaud any senior that didn't participate in this act of foolishness and hope it doesn't have any negative impact on your senior year.
The actions or lack of by the BOE is no different that the APS cheating scandal. That is, failing to act accordingly when a problem exist. This will come back to haunt you all somewhere-sometime.
It is all over with. Give the kids a break. They have done this tradition for 8 years and it has become expected now. You will not find this chatter on my site. The kids will be talking about what they did when they are grown. Let it be.
I have one more thing to say on this and then I think everyone will agree, it`s done, if the kids get suspended I think that would be fair, the classes to come should not be able to look back on this and say, WHY NOT? the class of 2012 did it and got away with just a slap on the hand and a little hard clean up work...The thing that confuses me about all of this is, who left the door unlocked, to me that is something that should NOT go unpunished, and unlocked or not, they were all trespassing, going into a place that you are not supposed to be in after hours IS trespassing, maybe not breaking and entering per say but trespassing none the less
Im not from Pike county but I have to say the ones that are complaining about it need to really look in the mirror. Like you all have never done anything wrong, REALLY? yea right..and yes that is a tradition for Seniors, EVERYWHERE, to do a School prank..I think them having to clean up their own mess is good enough..Get over it already..and when they go to College, yea there maybe pranks there as well..For the most part I think the people in Pike County are really good people..So quuit ya complaining, enjoy life!!
Just suppose the kids were not caught; do you think any of them would have come forward and admitted what they did or volunteered to help clean the mess up....that determines the true character of these kids.. But I will say, since they were caught and made to clean it up and perhaps their punishment is cleaning for the rest of the year, we should let go and let the school handle it.
I say get off these kids back. I mean look at how the spell. They certianly do not seem like the brightest bunch. I think its pretty cool to read their stuff because you can see the mentality of a Pike County senior.
As I read all of these comments from taxpayers, students and all the rest, I am very proud that I made the decision years ago to remove my children from the Pike Co Schools. I have made many sacrifices to pay for their education, but have raised 2 hard working, respectful children that would have never been involved in any thing like this. I can promise you that if they would have, they would have wished for jail time - this momma don't play. It is time that you parents start being parents and stop trying to be your children's friends, you will have time for this when they are older. I graduated from Pike and never participated in any senior pranks and no I was not a nerd. My daddy would have whipped my a$$.... I knew better than to even think about it. Kids today are out of control, most of them. There are still parents who parent their children!

This has been one of the best blogs I have read in a while. I would like to see our local paper hire "Call N. Alcars" to write for them. He had me laughing all the way. That was some great stuff.
One thing the kids should know. If you are with a friend and he pulls out a gun and shoots someone, you to can be charged in the shooting. The same for bank robbery. All you have to do is be there when the crime is commited. Think about that.

If this is the WORST thing our Seniors are going to do as far as a prank, I think we should be thankful! Do we have shootings or stabings at Pike? Gang violence? Not that I'm aware. Maybe a few gansta wanaabes. No permanent damage done, correct? Punish them by giving them a few other school related details and projects and MOVE ON! Although I don't know him very well, my dealings with Mike Maddox have been pleasant. He may not be perfect (who is?) but I believe his heart is in the right place. Duncan? Yeah, I agree this piece of human debris needs to go!
OMG..... Give these young people a break. You would think they killed someone. You guys who are condemning them so bad.... Have you never did anything stupid in your life time.
If you say NO you are lying...
As an honors student myself (at another school), I would say that perhaps these honors kids are trying to let loose for once after having a stick up their ***** for 12 years. If they faced the rigor at school that I did, that is. They wanted to do something epic and memorable. They went a little crazy with it, of course, but maybe some of you can kind of see this perspective?
This is all bull crap. there is no further punishments, half of the things stated on here are completely false do yall really have nothing better to do than lie about teenageers :)
~ I know that I wrote to 'Rader on Radar" in my comment #47.2.3 and promised to taper off on my local commentaries in exchange for him to quit trying to track me down, BUT, I will take a chance and add one final comment on this thread...cause I'm skeered and my Greyhound bus leaves for West Virginia at 1PM today. I'm going up there and hide out in my cabin until cold weather sets in and the law dog has forgotten about me.
To Mr. Mayhem:
My apologies to you sir! I had previously discounted your numerous postings as being non-sensical and grossly incoherent because of substance abuse related to your unfortunate accident. I now see you in a different light! You seemed to have made a full recovery and elevated yourself to an intelligent kindred spirit as indicated by your well written #47.2.4 comment. You have always recognized my satirical posts as being borderline amusing and have not taken them to task as Ossifer Rader. Your descriptive accounts pertaining to your interactions with the Zeb PD was awesome! It was like I had witnessed the roustings in person. Was that you on that old episode of COPS last week sitting in the cage of a ZPD cruiser screaming, "what I do"? ..."what I do"? ...oops! sorry Mayhem, I lost my place for a moment. Anyway, your comment was very clear, concise and truthful regarding Officer Rader. I believe you could pass the cop psych test if 'cocky you know who' passed it. As far as you needing a firearm, I can loan you an old cap and ball revolver from the War OF Northern Aggression. You may have to work on it a bit since the firing pin and cylinder have rusted together. It's a start.
Keep up the good work Mayhem and remain anonymous while confusing the locals! Bye!
Seniors @ PCHS:
Your continuation of a long "tradition" of pranks needs to stop for many reasons. Besides the acts of vandalism being juvenile and disruptive, they have cast a bad light upon the elderly in this community. Just this morning, I walked up to Ken's Pharmacy to pick up my Centrum Silver and overheard some youngsters complaining about the Seniors wreaking havoc at the high school. "Seniors will be Seniors and that is to be expected", chimed an obese Oprah look-alike. I was quick to defend the Medicare crowd! "Not all Seniors are that way. Heck, most Seniors my age are in wheel chairs or nursing homes", I bellowed. The crowd looked at me like I was crazy or drunk. I slowly ambled out in a hurry because I had a Greyhound bus to catch. I hope the Seniors straighten themselves out. (meaning the high school seniors.)
Officer Rader:
I will be flying below the Rader Radar for an extended absence until you forget about me. One can only surmise that future comments from you will be proffered as Anonymous or some quasi-macho name since you probably have drawn attention to the Zeb PD and will be urged to cease and desist by "Senior" officers. I hope an audit of the LE databases by the Chief doesn't reveal any searches for Calvin Nathan Alcars, Aka: Call N Alcars
Chief Ledbetter:
You are doing a good job. From what I hear, department morale is great, and all is well with most. Please be aware of abruptly stopping when you are walking to avoid any employee nose inuries. These types of "brownie accidents" are difficult to explain to the Workers Comp folks.
Sheila Tolley: Where are you? Keyboard broken? I'm being set upon. Thought we were pals.

I think pressing criminal charges against these kids would have been going to far...Have all of them take turns cleaning the school for the entire year..Assign a cleaning crew each week...if they don't show up suspend them..Kids will be kids..and I think that would be punishment enough...since there was no actual damage (broken windows, etc).
Look, I am a senior, and I was there. Yeah, some of the students took this way to far, ill admit that. But the ones who admitted up to their actions, and actually STAYED there to help clean, have been punished enough. some of you guys are taking this way out of line. If we haven't had been caught when we did, and the mess stayed there until the following day, now that would be a much different story, but we cleaned the mess. Everything was cleaned. And a huge thanks goes to the royal flush guy who cleaned the carpets. Some of y'all act like you have never done a thing wrong in your life, little perfect body, huh? Give us a break. Nothing was broke, no windows busted, be thankful for that. Want to say something to me? Feel free to reply.
Yeah, I did give a shout out to the guy who cleaned the carpets. He didn't have to do anything, but he was nice enough to loan his equipment to help clean, so before you go running your mouth about something being "amiss" know the facts.
And the guy was a parent of one of the students there.

The damage was so severe it needed a professional to come in and do restoration services on the carpet? They need to put that on the Royal Flush truck. We specialize in flood and water damage restoration and high school pranks.
The "Royal Flush Guy" wasn't there as a service to his community. He was helping cover his daughter's @$$, who was a member of the pranksters vandalism crew.
Lance Taylor, I'm glad you feel the kids should be punished. Actually, I'd like to see you stand that same position when Mike Maddox and the school board and officials are putting punishment to your son which is a senior to the class of 2012. Seeing as how your son was actually in the building along with other students, and when the time comes to clean up he is no where to be found. Luckily in your favor at the moment the school authority hasn't found out your son actually had his name on the clean up list, but yet wasn't there. He must have some good friends or A good friend that wrote his name on the list to keep him out of trouble. How long will you stand your ground knowing that information is out?
I will Stand my ground completely. If you are going to be dumb, you better be tough! That's what these kids need to learn, and if my son deserves it he will get his fair share too and then some, I promise! How long do you guys plan on hiding behind these Anonymous comments? If you have something say at least be big enough to put your name on it.
with the hate-filled comments toward children on this thread, I am not surprised at their lack of respect for authority. With the way our local, state and federal governments fail each day, respect for authority is not in our future either.
Ignorance breeds ignorance. Congratulations
What a shame the "brightest and smartest" of Pike County spends their time trying to make a name for themselves by trashing the school...Why don't you make a name for your class by doing things for your community...How sad you are about to go out into the world as adults and all you are concerned with is childish pranks..We should all feel sorry for you little brats because at some point you will go out into the world and wont have mommie and daddie to take up for you...you will have to stand on your on two feet and answer for your own actions....Pity you...Just because its a tradition to destroy you think you do too. So does the Taliban!!! Grow up!!!
I can see how many dummys have moved into Pike County in the last few years. All you "adults" need to grow up and realize it is a "prank". they cleaned it up! now leave it alone and get over yourselves. all you people talking about tax payers dollars getting wasted.. im pretty sure out of 75 kids, there parents taxes payed for all that so don't even go there. that is just an excuse to complain a little more because you dont have a life. and if you think these kids should go to jail for this little "prank" you are idiots! atleast our kids aint going out doing drugs and killing people like some other counties. everyone of you that are bad mouthing this just shows how ignorant you are. and yall can say you never did anything "bad" or never made mistakes but everyone including yourself knows your lying. so get over yourselves and move on with your life.. its none of your buisness, especially if you don't even live here!!!! EVERY SENIOR ALL OVER THE COUNTRY DOES SENIOUR PRANKS. the baby oil was rediculous but everything else was normal and didn't hurt anything!!!(and some of you saying your kids would never do anything like that.. ok we'll see about that)
YAWN. This story is old and lame and so are all the nags that keep posting their stupid comments to it. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWN
I have been told by some seniors that were involved but did not go in the school (at least that is their story) that the teacher's break room was broken into and a microwave was destroyed. I was also told that some obscene words and pictures were painted in the courtyard. Perhaps these kids were not telling the truth but I have no idea why they would lie. I have learned in the last year that punishment at PCHS is equal to or less than who you know or who you are related to. Trust me, I know from experience that punishment does not fit the crime in this town when Mike Maddox, Michael Duncan, and the elected board members are involved.
I'm really tired of these ridiculous adults saying we should be put in jail or suspended or expelled. Sure what we did wasn't right but it has been done EVERY SINGLE YEAR, and did any of the previous senior classes get in trouble? NO I don't think so. We didn't hurt anyone or do anything that hasn't been done before. The only thing that was different was the baby oil, which I personally had no part in because I knew not to enter the building. But I still was on my hands and knees at 2 in the morning cleaning it up. Most of you adults did a senior prank when you were our age so you have no room to talk. By trying to get us expelled or arrested could ruin the rest of our lives. What if it were your child? Would you want someone saying these things about them? No. If we get expelled then we won't graduate and then what would we do with our lives... Do you really want us to be a bunch of sorry teenagers who can't get a good job and provide for ourselves or our families? We all live and learn and what we did was just simple fun and a tradition. We have learned our lesson now leave it alone. You being a taxpayer has nothing to do with our prank... we cleaned it all up and even some of the parents, who are also taxpayers, helped us clean. No one should be talking bad about the county, the school, the principal, the parents or the students. If you personally don't know the REAL story or if you were not there, then don't worry about it. Ya'll are supposed to be adults but you sure aren't acting like it. There's no need for ANY of you to be rude to us. We did nothing to you, we didn't effect your taxes, we didn't hurt anyone, but we DID take responsibility for our actions. Also, I would appreciate if all of you would stop insulting us by saying we can't spell and what not. Did you see any spelling mistakes while you read this? NOPE! Not all of us can't spell or write. Only some people make mistakes with their writing, it's not all of us. Thanks!
Elise, good catch on that BNM spelling dare. You pegged that high school dropout down a few notches. Keep your eyes out for a snappy retort after BNM figures out what to say.
She is not a dropout she is an honor roll student and has been since she started school and she works hard to earn an honest living. Apparently you on the other hand must sit on your tail and draw a check from the government since you have time to be worried about what the seniors did for their ANNUAL TRADITION of marking the school with their graduating year!!! Spend your time worrying about what the government is going to do or you might not get your check next month!!!!
you wrote:..."seniors did for their ANNUAL TRADITION of marking the school with their graduating year!!!... ha ha.. marking their school?.. Ha..ha. you are funny! ..hah snort!
Do 2012 Seniors "marking the school" equate to a skunk "marking his territory"?
Are you a PCHS dropout? A new flash-trash mob coming on Facebook. Stay ready!
Your comment smells just as good as my skunky love spray. P---You----!
Effect and affect are very similar words. Both mean to influence. Therefore I am still correct. I am also NOT a high school dropout... quite the opposite actually. Get a life. You found one minor mistake in that whole message and you were still wrong. Shall I repeat, ONE mistake. Get a life, seriously. You are an adult acting like a child. This had nothing to do with you, Elise. "What you don't see with your eyes, don't witness with your mouth"
Aren't you a bit tardy? Four days to wipe the egg off your face and try to cover your mistake. As my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Ambrose, taught us, always remember that "affect" is a verb, and "effect" is a noun.
Keep trying.
I am not tardy, I am just not obsessed with this crap. I don't get on this everyday to start drama like you do. I am still correct, the times have changed. School is much different now than when you were in school. We are learning much harder things than any of you did. We have other things to worry and study about, not whether affect and effect are the same, different, verbs, or nouns. Who cares? Grow up and find something better to do with your time instead of arguing with a teenager. YOU'RE COOL HAHA, NOT!
Sheila, as you have previously posed this question to readers, I'm aware both words have the same meaning where as they each denote something is combustible.
I'm personally aware that gasoline is a highly flammable/inflammable liquid that is easily ignitable. A very abusive former ex-boyfriend of mine fell asleep at the wheel of his Chevron gasoline transporter hauling twin tanks. He drove into a bridge abutment doing 70 mph on California Interstate 5 and was burned to a crisp. I grieved and went into a depression for about 5 minutes and immediately got over it. He's better off dead.
Honey, I was not being a smart a$$ to you. I like you. BUT I guarantee you that most people did not know that the two (flammable and inflammable) mean the same thing.
One question for all of you, who is John Galt? There is no answer now to what will happen to them. stop wasting your time with your useless inputs on this, they cleaned up their mess and no charges have been pressed upon them. Vandalism may have been committed but it wasn't for the purpose of anything but pure humor, not hate. If charges were pressed on all 75 students that participated in this act not only would that cost the taxpayers money by paying for the many things that the court system has to pay for when each person comes through it but it would also be flooded with 75 cases since all seniors are of atleast the age of 17 and charged as adults. causing The court system to have to push back court dates for REAL crime cases so that they can charge all of these young adults, allowing REAL criminals to stay out longer on bail. SO choose the lesser of two evils.
In my opinion, the thing that makes this situation the most astonishing is the lack of respect shown in this blog. It is possible to share your opinion without being demeaning or obscene. You can dislike the words and actions of others without name calling or being insulting.
It is also disturbing that adults are finding it acceptable to speak to young people in this manner. It does explain why the students are responding in a manner that is embarrassing. I don't see just a lack of respect for authority, I see a lack of respect for mankind.
oh yes, these little hoodlums deserve respect. give me a break. what they deserve is a good hide tanning. the reason we continue to have this issue year after year is that there is no consequence to their actions. and it is parents/adults like you that have this attitude that the kids are being insulted that caused all of this mess in the first place.
#77.1.1
Adult with common sense
on
08/10/11 at 11:20 AM
I've sat back and read every entry on this subject and had enough. My child participated in this prank and he's not a hoodlum! He has been held accountable and suffered consequences for everything he has ever done in his life. He's never been in trouble and spent 12 years helping Pike Co. schools look good academically and through extracurricular activities. To everyone in Pike County who has provided a negative comment on this issue - you don't personally know these kids nor their parents nor what happened nor how they've been raised for the past 17 years. Based on your ignorant comments and how little you know, obviously you should mind your own business because this issue did not affect you at all. In case you're wondering - I'm a taxpayer and positive that the amount I've paid in taxes for the past 20+ years has more than covered all of the expenses for this senior prank.
IF you were an adult with any common sense at all you would not be condoning these actions.
IF you had raised your child to be the perfect little angel that you claim, he/she would not be in trouble now for vandalizing the school.
IF you had any sense at all, you would have kept quiet, punished your child as he/she should be and went about your business.
Instead, you come here and with a complete LACK of common sense tell us why we should be happy that these sweet little angels cleaned up their own mess.
Property taxes aren't paid to cover senior pranks. They're paid to provide a school building and staff and hopefully text books, etc., for our children.
Why would you allow your child to be on government property when school is not in session?
I understand they're there in the summer practicing sports, etc., but they would be there with prior approved permission from The BOE and supervised by their leader for that sport. To me that would be a session since that is part of a school related activity. I'm saying to be there inside the building unsupervised and not for a school related function going on at the time.
YOU and parents like you are exactly what is wrong with The United States today. You probably let your young convict read your blog, didn't you? Let them learn to appreciate just how far their loyal idiotic parents are willing to go to defend their little juvenile delinquents. Paying for the crime and cleaning up the mess does not justify the criminal act. Why don't you consider what might have happened......Suppose your little delinquent had been smart enough not to get caught. Suppose students or teachers had become victims of serious accidents. Is that OK in your common sense (WEAK) mind?
I just signed on, after quite a spell, and noticed that my friend Call N. Alcars has blogged. I cannot wait to return from town to relax, read and enjoy his posts. I will pee first because I know I am in for a hilarious ride.
Tolley, I hope everything came out all right on your way home. But, why did you feel the need to notify the readers of your bathroom urges? Old women with weak bladders. Gross! Cut back on your daily cups of caffeine and beer guzzling. You will be OK.
Weren't you in the pranking class of 1955? Get caught? School officials let you off too?
Nope. I was in the action class of 1969. My best friend is the one who wrote and threatened to kill Lyndon Johnson. The Secret Service came down to check out the situation. You see, we catered to meaningful acts. Now if this class of limited imagination needs any help in doing constructive feats.... We have an even bigger problem in The White House today. At least old sorry LBJ was an American.
If you are too stupid to interpret that comment for its humor............you are stupid enough to get caught with senior pranks.
Happy mopping, not mayhem.
It is no wonder the kids of today do not take responsibility for their actions, look at all the no name bloggers, not mayhem. You all cannot even take responsibility for your opinions. Do you constantly look behind your back as you cast your vote? After all, what if someone finds out who you voted for, the boogy man might get you........now crawl back under the covers.
Those PCHS vandals have reached the crossroads of their young "i know everything" lives.
A tipping point, so to speak. The senior goobers have purchased on credit a criminal incident known as the "seniors prank" . They are now the proud? owners of "dat prank". All their future payments will be collected through life via personal failures if they do not realize life is not a prank and atone for their actions. The government subsidy they received from school officials and law enforcement in the form of a 'wink and nod' will lead to moral bankruptcy.
If the NIH tracked the career paths chosen by these "pranksters" for the next 20 years, statistical analysis would more than likely reveal the majority of them were doomed for failure because they "got away with it" in 2011. If you know the identity of these law breakers, monitor the PCJR Sheriff's Report and check off those familar names as they appear.
Future "pranks" from high school seniors should be banned. Prosecute all who don't comply.
Since my Grandfather Call is on the lam from the fuzz, he won't mind if I opine here".

To all the individual throwing rocks at these seniors, you need to take a step back and realize they only get to enjoy being a senior once in their lives. Each of these students worked hard to reach this year and moment in their life, they deserve the right to have a little fun! It has nothing to do with mama and daddy getting them out of it it has to do with the fact that they accepted RESPONSIBILITY for the mess they made and as a class they came together to clean it all back up. The funny thing is all you parents acting like you never played a silly prank on someone or done something you shouldn't have done, yet its a priceless memory that no one can ever take from you! That's simply what the class of 2012 did they made their mark and then cleaned up! I don't believe these students should be expelled or suspended, I mean what are we suspending them for? Because they had a little fun then went back and cleaned up, in that case its almost like we are spanking them saying no you shouldn't have cleaned up as do we spank our children for doing good in school or making the right decision no we don't we congratulate them and if they did something wrong we address it and as a parent we are to teach our children right from wrong not condemn them. So remember this as you all continue to rant and rave about these seniors making memories". You hypocrite first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brothers" Matthew 7:5
To you seniors: Life is to short so live it up,drink it down, laugh it off, avoid the drama, take chances and never have regrets because at one point everything you did was exactly what you wanted. I wish you all the best life has to offer, don't let these individuals stop your shine the god has given you!!!!!!!! God bless you all!
you are the reason we have such ridiculous things happening in the school system.
please provide your address so that the next prank can be carried out at your house. let them come over and trash your home. don't worry, some of them will come back and clean it up. you will have to hire a carpet cleaner though, that one they can't clean on their own.
maybe instead of encouraging more lawlessness, you should encourage them to do something positive with their life.
how about a senior gift instead of a senior prank? how about a senior day of volunteering instead of a senior prank? how about teaching them to be productive members of society instead of smart-*&^ punks?
You people trip me out acting like they burnt the dang building down! Saying they need to go to jail or be expelled really then what are we doing?!? Besides giving them no chance at the future they deserve, or the right to make something of their lives!!! They just might be the doctor, the emt, or nurse that saves your life one day!!
Let me tell you one thing im not encouraging them to do bad im simply letting them know what they done isn't right but atleast they are mature enough to accept the responsibility of their actions and did what needed to be done so it was cleaned up! And I know a great carpet cleaner so again im not worried its all in innocent fun! Let them enjoy their lives.
The funny thing is you and all these so called" PERFECT PEOPLE" Act like you've never done wrong just remember we may not know what you done but god does so in the end you will have to answer to him!!! I think all of you need to realize they were just having some innocent fun they didn't set the field on fire or blow the school up they simply wrote on the walls and put vasoline on some door knobs wooooo hoo big deal!
FYI: Theses students aren't smartbutt punks half of them will graduate with honors and a 4.0 GPA, so I personally think people need to drop the matter and get on with their lives, these seniors are not criminals they are young adults making priceless memories and enjoying the life God has given them!
God said to obey the laws of the land. Christ said that he came not to destroy the law but to fulfill them. as a "child of God" you should know that lawlessness was never part of the Creator nor the Savior's plan.
you can continue to defend the lawless actions of the vandalism that went on or you can swallow your pride and admit that it was wrong. i will do everything in my power to ensure that next year the senior class will understand that criminal activity will be met with the appropriate response.
i don't see how destruction of something that so many people have worked to provide can be considered a "precious memory". it is this warped thinking that continues to signal the end of this precious republic and it's people like you who continue to condone and defend these actions that erode the values that have made this country great.
Our savior did come to do just that but also he understands everyone makes mistakes and sometimes they may take a slight detour on the wrong path. At one point in all our lives we've detoured on a wrong road, but those mistakes are what makes us who we are today!
God doesn't stand there repeatedly shaking his fist at us for messing up he forgives us :) So yes what they did was wrong in a way, but also they were just making their mark like all the other senior classes have gone and done before them. So how can we punish them for something the other senior classes didn't receive punishment for?
These juvenile delinquents are so readily excused by their parents, who are in their late thirties and early forties, because they too were raised without morals and respect.
What makes you think they are juvenile delinquents? You are only a juvenile delinquent if you are arrested and put in jail. It would be like someone saying you are a b*tch just because of the comments you are making. Which I would totally agree with anyone who says that about you. It doesn't really feel too good to be called demeaning names now does it? You shouldn't be worried about a bunch of teenagers having a little fun and then taking responsibility for their actions. What you should be worried about is the REAL juvenile delinquents, murderers, or any other real criminal who has actually committed serious crimes. I wish someone would rip you a new one, Sheila Tolley.
A lot of you guys are new to this post and I must tell you things about Ms. Trolly. She is always high and mighty but she has been married 4 times. She is crazy because no matter what the subject she brings The President into the subject. The subject can be about Toll House Cookies and she will manage a dig at the Pres. I do believe that she is working on husband number 5. She always talks about The Bible but she does not seem to know how to live by it. Did I mention that she has been married 4 times. She is a little nuts.
Correction - these kids did not "accept" responsibility for their actions; they were forced to respond to their actions. Big difference... I also notice in one of the posts that this is an annual event??? I think this has only started in the last few years perhaps.. My kids graduated from Pike and never participated in a "senior prank" and I, myself, graduated from Pike and never participated in a "senior prank".
News flash times have changed, I mean look around you things aren't what they use to be, the youth of today are far more advanced in their educations today then 4 Years ago, times change and so does the things people see as right and wrong! As far as I can recall senior pranks have been around for awhile now, I can remember my parents telling me about there senior pranks when I was growing up, its just now days people want to make a mountain out of a mole hill!
And you say they didn't accept responsibility well if they didn't then why were they back at the school cleaning it up, yes they might've been addressed by the law enforcement but atleast they were mature enough to clean it up without arguing about it. As I previously stated the youth today are alot more mature then some adults. Especially some of the ones that are on here whining about their precious tax dollars, how about if you want to whine about money whine to the president he's the one that's really rolling you over backwards not the class of 2012; Its the president and congressman who are wasting your precious pennies. Fruitful thought why are we so worried about these precious tax dollars, you can't take your worldly possessions up to heaven so instead of worrying about money and some silly senior prank, how about we get right with god and complain about something worth complaining about!
youth throughout out history my child have thought they were more "mature" than the adults around them. when you actually mature, you will see the difference. when you actually have to pay for something instead of mommy paying it for you, you will see the difference. now run on off to school and come back when you know the difference between mature and too big for your britches.
Let me get one thing straight with you Im a 25 Year old single female, my car is paid for and I live on my own. My mama and daddy didn't pave my road for me at the age of 12 I was working in the yard to raise money so I could buy my first car, by the age of 20 I had my own house so before you go yaking your jaws about someone you need to have all the facts!
At Shelia so now we are comparing them to others, first of all who are we to judge?!? God is the judge of all mankind not us see that's what's wrong with this world today, everyone judges before truly getting the facts. These seniors aren't criminals they simply were trying to carryout a tradition, not knowing they'd have the whole county fired up about some silly prank. Sounds to me like the principal is wanting some serious attention, all the previous classes before have carried out their pranks yet not a single fire was started?!?
All I know is everyone needs to stop trashing these seniors, they've learned their lesson and that's all that matters. We seriously have bigger issues to handle like the fact we as a country are bankrupt, and the economy is at a complete downward spiral! So how about we fry those fish!
come talk to me when you have to mortgage your own house in order to send your kids to college because every government agency has their hand in your pocket and you only get 40% of your salary.
you have no idea about the world @ 25. oh i know you THINK you do but trust me, you don't.
You are a young, disrespectful, ill-raised punk. Don't confuse obesity with maturity. Don't even confuse eleven year old breast development in girls and sex starved twelve year old boys with maturity. It is due to the hormone enhanced foods that you kids ate through your entire life. You young ones grew up thinking Mc Donald's was your real home and that Uncle Ronald (that clown)cooked good fries. Old Mc Donald had a farm in our day. He grew vegetables. You should be ashamed of yourself for condoning the acts of these juvenile delinquents.
It is not your fault, so I will forgive you. You were born in 1989 so you have never known a respectable president. Our only decent president was leaving after his second term the year you were born. You are a product of the Daddy Bush-Clinton-Son Bush and (God forbid) obama years. How pitiful. You should be awarded some kind of entitlement for being raised with a brain dead government since birth. Please hold off on having children, they will be born under the star of obama.
Remember, seriously, if you have children now they will be more expensive. They will require two diapers..one on their tiny butt and one on their little muslim terrorist head. Oh I forgot, obama will pay for them with the money he borrows from China. Ain't he sweet to be a terrorist? Rumor has it that he started out young with a little simple senior prank that his ma and pa ignored.
You my dear are crazy. No doubt about it, you are crazy. Tard why did you have to call this dingbat into this discussion. You lost all credibility when she went posting and from all her post she has gone postal. Trolley loves seeing her name on the blog. And no I do not use my real name and that's my right.
I agree with you... They are still children.

So were the Doughtery gang from last nights news........just a very few years ago. If these are really children writing on these comments, their parents need to spank their butts. Let them call DFACS, Teen Challenge has some available space.
These students accepted "RESPONSIBILITY" for their actions?! What if they had not gotten caught? How many of them would have fessed up to their actions the next day?
There are other ways to remember one's senior year without vandalism. I was a senior once and participated in a prank that did no damage to the school but that "priceless memory" is still with me to this day. Seniors will be seniors but 2012 took it a little too far.
Also, nice touch quoting the Bible and then condoning underage drinking in the next sentence. Real classy.
Yes, that is a nice touch. Thats one of them Christians that go to Fat Bass Tard's church. You don't have to worry about him. He already accepted the fact that he is forgiven for EVERYTHING!!! I would say if I was to believe in organized religion I would most definitely be a Christian. It has to be the easiest and most self serving religion known to man.
Good grief! There is so much else going on in the world to be focused on. Anyone watched the real news lately? The stock market shed a few points. Y'all miss that? The debt ceiling isn't fixed. Y'all miss that? A bogus healthcare plan is still in place. Y'all miss that? You people have time to read all of this but I will bet that all of you would say you're too busy to write your congressman (if you even know who they are). So funny to be worried about tax dollars when all of you probably lost everything you had in an IRA or 401k. There is life outside your front door people. Just walk outside and enjoy it.
I hope the group that has raised so much stink about their kid getting to severe of a punishment for shooting another student with an airsoft gun is happy! the same frustration and unjustice and hurt feelings that you have been feeling and dealing with for months now, you have forced upon the senior kids! you know the same ones you claim to love and are supposed to be setting a good example for in their youth group! I hope you are happy with yourself. you should be ashamed. what happened to love thy neighbor and treat others as you would have them treat you? you forgot all about that i guess!
Ashamed Citizen...first let me start by making sure you know my name is Sharman Brannon, their is no group, it is me and my son is the one that was accused of shooting someone with an airsoft gun when he did not do it. I only wish I had the power that you seem to think I have because if I did my son would not be spending 8 months at the alternative school. Now, let me set you straight on the facts. I have not once asked that these seniors be punished like they have. I have actually spoken to several of their parents and they know exactly how I feel about this situation. However it does seem that you have been misinformed and have an issue with me so let me give you a way to contact me personally. My email address is sharmanb221@yahoo.com. Please feel free to contact me so I can give you the correct information since you obviously do not have it.
You will hear nothing from ashamed citizen, Sharman. These weasels with descriptions and locations as names will do nothing directly. They are spineless.
Perhaps they are staying late for mopping class. You would think that a group this sneaky would have been smart enough to pull off a little prank, wouldn't you?
Those are nice creds girl! Your own car at 12 years old! Your own house at 20? Impressive! Did you buy the house or lease it? Are you a Pike County entrepreneur?
With your work ethic and your family backing you all the way, you should have mentioned your parents by name. They deserve some hand clapping recognition. From what I learned from your self appraising post, you must be related to fat bass tard because FBT displays the same feisty attitude you have exhibited with your work ethic comment. It sounds like Ol' FBT to make a lazy kid go out and mow the lawn and pay them a higher salary than mandated by the oBUMa bureaucratic minimum wage scale....uh oh read your comment again.
After further review by the Alcars Instant Comment Replay System, I don't think you are related to fat bass tard. I don't surmise a relative of FBT would display such liberal leanings because of FBT's Egalitarian pride. Your liberalism was exposed when you condoned, defended and excused the unlawful actions of those PCHS 'criminal pranksters'. Also, what enjoyment do you get out of beating up on that grandmotherly Sheila Tolley for expressing her thoughts regarding the "pranksters"? Leave her alone! Squawk! I Wanna cracker!
With your permissive societal attitude, if you do own your home, I believe you will soon be in a foreclosure or evicted if you rent it. You can disappointingly wave "bye-bye" to your old "paid for" jealopy as it's being snatched from your driveway hooked up to a Title Pawn tow truck and hauled away to the their impound lot in Griffin for non payment of a title loan.
BTW: It's far fetched to believe you bought a car at 12 years old! A pink Barbie car?
Moses T. Alcars
"flew the coop today and uncle Calvin let me peck out a comment"
Boy oh boy you are a real DA because she said ahe started earning money when she was twelve so she could save to buy her first car when she turned 16!!! I am her parent and she will not lose her house in foreclosure like you will because she has a very high paying job and makes a very comfortablr salary. So sorry you are jealous that you do not do the same. If you had a real life you would not be on here trashing peoples kids to make yourself feel better for what you have not accomplished in your life. The ELITE SENIORS of 2012 that were involoved in the TRADITIONAL SENIOR decorating of the school did not cause any damage to the school and they did not do anything that the past senior classes did not do when they made their mark!!! Get a life and quit worrying about trivial things that have nothing to do with you!!! DO NOT speak bad of any of my children anymore or you will find yourself in a court of law because I do have the power to find out who made what comments concerning my children on this blog and I will press charges!!!! By the way all of the seniors are honor students and they are not hoodlums and your tax dollars did not have anything to do with the clean up!!! What your eyes do not witness your mouth should not speak about!!!! Like they say you can not believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see!!! So learn to keep your trap shut when you do not have a clue what you are talking about!! The seniors have paid for their actions just like all the seniors in the past by cleaning up till almost 3 in the morning with their parents and being told that as long as they came back and wrote their name on a list that there would be no other consequences because that is what has always been done in the past!!! Mr Maddox was misquoted in the article because he said that he never used the word trashed but yet that is what the paper chose to add to their article. Go figure??? News media no matter what form is all about creating controversy and drama in any situation. DO NOT entangle yourself in other peoples problems or lives because if you do you will only steal your joy!!!! I will end this by saying that my daughter is an honor roll student and has been ever since she started school and she has long term future plans for a very prosperous career!!! This will not define her character but if it makes you feel better about yourself to trash these ELITE SENIORS and their parents then may God have mercy on you!!!!
"I am her parent and she will not lose her house in foreclosure like you will because she has a very high paying job and makes a very comfortablr salary."
Stupid comment number 1. High paying jobs are normally the first ones cut when companies down size. You will probably regret writing this comment in a very short period of time. Karma don't like "cocky."
"The ELITE SENIORS of 2012 that were involoved in the TRADITIONAL SENIOR decorating of the school did not cause any damage to the school and they did not do anything that the past senior classes did not do when they made their mark!!!"
Stupid comment number 2. A typical irresponsible comment from a typical irresponsible parent. Parents who think like you and condone the acts of destruction and violence from their children are the reason the United States has over crowded jails. Irresponsible parents breed irresponsible children who become another set of irresponsible parents.
"Get a life and quit worrying about trivial things that have nothing to do with you!!! DO NOT speak bad of any of my children anymore or you will find yourself in a court of law because I do have the power to find out who made what comments concerning my children on this blog and I will press charges!!!!"
How much more stupid can you get? If your child was among these, your child is a juvenile delinquent.........if you condone the actions, you are an irresponsible parent. You talk big and tough....but too afraid to sign your own name. My name is shown above. I will wait for you to file charges against me. You are such a pitiful excuse for a parent.
The comments from you get progressively more stupid, so, no need repeating them. I would recommend that you take a serious look at your parenting skills, but with the comments from your grown daughter reflecting your pitiful attitude, that ship has long sailed.
A total disregard of manners, responsibility and respect for others.................YOUR WORK AS A PARENT IS DONE.

How can you rationalize speaking and writing disrepsectfully and rudely to anyone?? That ia what is wrong with this world....people think that being obnoxious and insulting is acceptable and being kind is a thing of the past. I do not condone the behavior of those students, even though you assumed that I do. I also know that there are a lot of kids who cause trouble in the community and I do believe in consequences. My issue with the world, yourelf included, is that people do not speak kindly and respectfully any more. Cussing and yelling, insults and sarcasm are more prominent in speech than basic manners.
just so you know, if you click the little reply link, you don't have to say who you are replying to.
i guess it's only when i speak that someone is being disrespectful. never mind your lack of respect for the people of this county who've paid for your little hoodlums escapades.
you can't justify what these children have done and you never will so give it up. calling me rude won't make these children's actions right not matter how many times you do it.
Im just glad you figured out whats wrong with the world. Maybe if you keep whining enough you will change it for the good. In other words.........bite me!
Isn't anybody concerned with how they got in? The let time I checked vandalism and breaking and entering is a crime. As a tax payer they should have been arrested and the parents are just as guilty as the students especially if they knew it. Breaking and entering and vandalism is not a senior prank. They were not suppose to bein the building that time if not alone. I think it is a ash me that 2 certified educators (a principal and superintendent) are taking this lightly. Maybe it is time for both to go.
THE DOORS WERE UNLOCKED!!!! Does that answer your question and just to let you know thay are not the first senior group to enter the building when making their SENIOR MARK for the year!!!! See if you had all your facts straight you would not be jumpimg the gun and making assumptions!!!! You act as if you NEVER made a mistake in your life but we all know that no one is perfect!!! The educators are not taking this lightly but they are trying to be fair since this is a SENIOR tradition and has been since I was in high school!!! Guess you lived a sheltered life and did not get to enjoy your SENIOR year or maybe you did not graduate therefore you did not have a SENIOR year. Just saying!!!
To the seniors. Maybe you went a little over board but boo hoo take ur punishment and move on i went thru the samethings with the quail who cares what other people think bout what yall did good job.
To the people who wont quit writin bout it on here. I left pike high 2010 to go to the military best thing i ever done all most of this "crime" by the seniors is being blowed up into a big ordeal cause of you i will never move back to pike county and its not cause of the school systems we have the best teachers around it because of all the people like most on here who have no life and want to stick their nose in someone elses get a life worry bout your own problems befor you but into someone elses
toby. perhaps you should step back and wait until you are paying for something and someone trashes it. then maybe your opinion would count for something.
Wow Toby. I've just read your post thoroughly. If you are a product of the "best teachers around", I would hate to see what the worst teachers are putting out. Based on your post alone, I think we should fire every single person working for the Pike County School system.
Let's see, father at 18, can't spell, can't form a coherent sentence, doesn't understand punctuation or sentence case, someone should have stuck their nose in your business a long time ago and taught you something, anything.
Hey Tobe! Good to read you have made it!. Did you really just get promoted to Private E-!? Have you made P.L.O. like your hero Pvt. Will Stockdale did?.. Like...Wow! Like...Great! Glad to see all your Pike schooling is serving you well. Did you get your G.E.D. yet? Like...Buffy and I miss ya..muah! PS:better pay heed to Mr. tard's wise statement.
Your pal,

Now Toby........in the military, I know you learned to respect people who out rank you. I am Sergeant Major Admiral Ranger Tolley. (SMART)
You listen up, boy.........these comments are created mostly because of people writing as smart a$$ students or parents of smart a$$ students.
This act of vandalism only turned out negligible in traumatic results BECAUSE the juvenile delinquents were caught in the act. If they had not been caught in the act you could be reading of some real injuries from this little prank.
Please do not brag of being a member of the United States Military with such irresponsible ramblings as you have shown in your blog. Your opinion is a disgrace to all Pre-obama Americans.
Attention: Beetle Bailey.........Take a trip to Bookland and purchase some punctuation. After reading that run on sentence, I am all out of breath.

What an exciting story to elicit so many comments! Will there be a prize for #300?
May I have your attention for just a moment? Have any of you watched the news lately about these Flash Mobs? They go in and steal thinking they will be alright because there are too many of them to be caught. Please take a look at what is happening in the UK. It not much of a leap from what happened at the school to these other acts of wrong. All it would have took the night this happened would have been for one stupid person to start a fire and the out come could have been much worse. I know for a fact that messages were sent out to other students to be there at a certain time to carry out these acts. That is an act of conspiracy and carries a heavier sentence if convicted in a court. I don't want to see these kids mess up their life but they should really be taught about what could have happened if things got out of hand worse than it did. Pranks can and do sometimes lead to someone loosing their life. It can happen very easy. Thank goodness nothing worse happened than what did. Think about that children. No one wants to see you get hurt. Act like the young adults you are becoming. It is no excuse to say that so and so did this when they were in school. Like my mom use to say to me, "If Johnny stuck his hand in the fire, would you stick your hand in the fire to?"
Why was a microwave thrown in the floor at the school that night? Oh, that's right it was just accidently dropped. Why was it picked up in the first place?
It's time to crack down on these Flash Mobs before someone decides to start striking back against them. Then we will hear the moms and dads on TV talking about how good their child was and never did anything wrong. Blah blah blah!
Parents should be ashamed for not knowing where their kids are and what they are doing. When I was a senior we were taught that we should set an example for the younger kids. As far as pranks go I've never heard of anything like what took place in Pike County and my ancestors were some of the first to settle there.
Got no problems with a one time DUI screw up. I don't think that's a disqualifier, unless, that teacher is in the Drivers Ed department. I'd rather the teacher be feeling around for a bottle of vodka in the seat next to him rather than feeling up young students along for a ride home or something. We've already had weirdos working in area school systems. For me, I'll take a social boozing tipsy instructor any day over a sneaky Chester The Molester pervert.
Unless the teacher shows up snockered, leave the person alone. I believe in rehabilitation!
Is this comment #300? Did I win a PCJR subscription? I hope isn't a date with Tolley.
Moral turpitude!!! Teachers are suppose to set an example so I guess the teacher that was charged and convicted of a DUI was setting a fine example for her children and her students.
Tolley dont in the real army not nasty girls you learn that people take their punishments and everybody elsedont talk about it. O wait u probably are a nasty girl (national guard). Ha and atleast i can a 100. And admiral ranger what we makin up ranks now. and to fat b guess what i pay georgia state taxes so try that one with me. You wanna talk bout teachers dont bring that one i hold a teacher of pike county very dear to my heart and tolley why dont you get a real job where so you have somethin better to do than sit on the comp and wait for someone to post on here. O so exciting huh
I do not live in Pike County but I do go there for work, sometimes . I wonder if any of you truely understand what your comments and views look like to the rest of the world. Pike county is a very nice place that may become a much nicer place with time, but with the mind set of most there, it may become a rural Spaulding county ,meaning a place lost in the past, ruined by self intrest, corruption ,and a love of the trappings of poverty and ingnorance
If Walter Geiger didn't write this stupid report then none of these comments would be made. For one, the prinicipal shouldn't have left the doors unlocked. It seems to me that maybe he was failing on his job of making sure the school was locked up and he was saving his own a$$ by saying the kids "broke in". I know all of them and I am one of them. We are all very bright students. Although some of us may not write too well should not reflect our school or teachers or even our parents. Some people just don't learn as easily or maybe they don't care, but that is their decision. God made us all so you should not be judging anyone on how they write. Some of your own children might be as terrible of a writer as some PiCoHi students. They may have even done things worse than pranking their school. I believe that all of you ignorant people who are so worried about something that doesn't involve you were just a bunch of losers in high school. That's why you feel like we should be punished. You are jealous that you were not invited to partake in your senior prank. Sorry you don't know how to live you life to it's fullest! After reading all of your comments I realize why you were losers, listen to yourselves. HAHA! Also, I didn't enter the building because I know that isn't right. But I do know that the microwave wasn't purposely broken. I'm not sure how it happened but the screen just got busted a little. The microwave works just fine and doesn't even need to be replaced. If it were an issue then I'm sure the student would replace it, hell I would replace it if no one else would. It's no big deal considering I have a job. (Yes I'm in high school and I have a job, we aren't all lazy) I also know that you can't take money or any other material item with you when you die. Untangable things are what you should be worried about. Such as love, respect, and trust. Maddox is a liar, whether he claims to be or not. Everyone heard what he said that night and he went back on his word. He says that there had to be an investigation, but why? There didn't need to be an investigation considering everything was put out in the open, why investigate? We are all being punished for going back to the school and doing the right thing, cleaning up! Why punish us for being responsible? I know you will all say we aren't responisble because we did the prank, but that doesn't make us unresponisble. We are just kids trying to have fun. We don't want to be brought down by people like you. An adult should never bring down a child. You wouldn't feel too good if you were being brought down by adults either. The kids who didn't go back and take responsibility aren't being punished at all. We would have been better off to not go back, but we did because we are mature and we know we should do the right thing after we have done something that was wrong. So before you start judging people, maybe you should look into your own problems and evaluate them. Don't worry about this anymore, it's over and done with now.
Well first of all, no one taped over any doors idiot. There's no way we could. Open house was on Monday from 3-6 and no students would have been able to tape a door without it being noticed. The prank was done on Wednesday night, two days later. So that assumption is thrown out the window. Second, when you lock a door don't you always try to open it afterwards just to make sure it is locked? At least that's what you are supposed to do. So again, no one rigged any doors so they could enter. Third, if the cops or anyone believed that the doors had been taped over then they could have checked and found evidence of that, or watched the videos to see if anything was done to the doors. They were just left unlocked by an irresponsible adult.
Gaseous Mr. Smith opined: "I wonder if any of you truely (sic) understand what your comments and views look like to the rest of the world."
I will comment and apologize for the other bloggers and shout in out in ALL CAPS!
WE ARE TRULY SORRY FOR THE WHOLE DANG WORLD FINDING OUT HOW THE PIKE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2012 TRASHING VANDALS ARE REALLY LIKE! PLEASE FORGIVE US. Aren't you intimdated to tussle with Sheila Tolley if a date with her is the Grand Prize?
She scares me and I wouldn't go out with her. I was hoping for a PCJR subscription if I was #300. It's like winning a cashless Mega Millions drawing! Maybe, I can salvage 2nd. place if this comment is #301. Do you have one of those old chastity belt keys? You might need it.
spoons spoons spoons spoons that's all you is, I'll be the fork, light a spliff and smoke
with wiz.
you aren't the law you can't decide what happens to them on here, so stop stressin, honestly no one in the court system goes on here and checks the people's opinion to see what they want. Most of those kids parents are tightly knit with people in law enforcement and in the pike county court system. Nothing to terrible is going to happen with them, get over it. I am, and I pay taxes just like all of you, so uh, yeah folks that's all!
Just to beat a dead horse....You kids are saying you were punished enough because you had to clean up the mess that you made. I just can't help but wonder how cleaning up a mess you made is punishment? You should be giving thanks to Allah, Jesus, Buddha, or whoever you worship that you got out of this so easily, unless your parents gave you what you deserve at home.
This sounds so "sickening" familiar with our local school episode...........
***********************************************
London (CNN) -- Prime Minister David Cameron blames the riots that shook Britain over the past 10 days on a "slow-motion moral collapse ... in parts of our country," he said Monday, as police arrested a new suspect linked with one of the deadliest incidents in the violence.
Cameron listed problems including "Irresponsibility. Selfishness. Behaving as if your choices have no consequences. Children without fathers. Schools without discipline. Reward without effort. Crime without punishment. Rights without responsibilities. Communities without control," in a speech in his constituency in Oxfordshire.

Is it too late to save America from its own people?
Ok this was suppose to be a senior prank. Then explain why Juniors, Sophmores and students from other schools were involved? And as far as what me again said, be responsible and buy a new microwave. The screen wasn't broke before your friends broke it!!!
Just curious OMG - were you there to observe who was involved? You seem to know a lot about what happened. Or is everything you're reporting just hearsay?
Im glad my Son listened to his Mom! You are judged by the company you keep. Whatever they do, they will get in trouble for it! My Son thanked me the next day.
Have Fun your Senior year but use some common sense !
God bless you. I was hoping that just one MOM had the values that you have shown in your comment. If nothing else good comes from this episode at least your Son will see that your
advice was "RIGHT ON" target.
AMEN! At Pike you pull your cell phone out you get supended for 3 days; you bully someone you get a slap on the butt; you mess the school up, you have a few hours of cleaning up whatever they want you to and if you don't show up; well; pike conty administration is really sending out a good message and making our county look bad. Do what you want cause they don't care. The news needs to get ahold of this and then when they get on camera I wonder what they will say? Sad thing is the ones that did it arent the only ones who had to do what they said, the ones that don't show up their sweet little mommy's get them out of it. Pike administration you are a disgrace to this county!
Make the county look bad? School superintendents sexting students, tax commissioners office molesting children, retards on the BOC bringing on lawsuits, and you think baby oil and vaseline is making the county look bad. Leave the stupid kids alone already. Besides, its the grown folk in Pike you have to look out for.
according to my sources, he wasn't hit by a car but fell off while riding in the back. my sources say that he only suffered minor injuries and is back in school today.
Thanks! I guess that explains why is wasn't really mentioned. I was wondering why PC didn't get all crazy and close down the road and make up more stupid rules! Glad to hear he is okay, though.
Are you denying there were no other students besides Pike County Seniors? I beg to differ. There is one student from Spalding that was involved and he is one of the thugs who spray painted the courtyard. People talk around the school and you idiots involved are the ones giveing up the details. Its hard to believe that you all claim to be so smart. News flash you are not!!
So, you're saying you don't really know whether anyone else was involved because you weren't there. You believe everything you hear and read. You discuss issues on blogs even though you don't know the facts. Thank you for clarifying. I'm sure you're not alone.
Ok check it out for yourself dumb butt! He goes to Spalding High, used to go to Pike and is being punished by Spalding for his actions at the "Senior Prank" Yes I have my facts straight. Im not naming names because I am a better person than you, but since you are acting like an @$$ Im sure you are one of the idiots that did the prank so Im sure you know exactly who Im talking about. You all are making this whole situation worse for yourselves. Didnt your mom atleast tell you to shut your mouth. I guess you are one of the ones whos parents see absolutely nothing wrong with what you did. Sure you will be a success in the future! Maybe you can go work for Obama, he needs a few more idiots working for him!
You're such a good person you have to resort to name calling on a public website to get your point across. And, no, I'm not a student. I'm probably older than you. Thank you though for letting me know I'll be a success in the future. I was wondering about that.
Why don't you all look outside? The sun is shining and the fish are biting and the golf course is open. If that don't get you off your tail then volunteer to help out some where some how
If you plead enough with your boss he might give you a break during the day so you can step out and get some fresh air. You might have to operate that broom a little faster for him to let you though.
There are far worse things (violence, drugs, etc) than what happened here. I do believe the punishment should fit the crime of breaking and entering and vandalism (since the intent intent wasn't to steal or harm any person). But please stop bashing these young people, everyone makes mistakes. Hopefully most of them learned their lesson. These are the teenagers of OUR community. They are not thugs, just took a prank too far and now they have to pay the price. Forgive them, let the law handle it, and move on. Do something good for someone today. Be an example!
I usually do not post on here, since it is a waste of time, but you people have pressed my buttons. First of all, "Role Model," if I were grading your comment concerning my son's comment on grammar and punctuation, you would receive a grade of 60. Ten points for all grammatical errors! Yes, it does make me cringe to see the errors in what my son has said, but you are obviously trying to find something wrong, and since you can't with his comment, you are attacking his grammar. I don't know who you are, obviously, but you must know my son and my family. Maybe we can get together, chat, and get some facts straight. I am a mom first and a teacher second. I have raised my son to be a man. I am proud of the man he has become. He is an infantry soldier and it sickens me to no end to think that he might have to go to war and possibly not come home so people like you and "Fat" can rant and rave on here! It is people like you all who need to look in the mirror before opening your mouths! My son pays his taxes, has a family, and is doing very well for himself. So...what are you all doing with your lives? Please don't attack someone's child, on here or any where else. A mother's love goes beyond anything else.
first, let me say thank you toby for serving your country. it is a fine thing.
second, when students trash a community asset (the schools are paid for by the county taxpayers) they have every right to come here and condemn this type of behavior. we are not butting into someone else's business. we are confirming that we don't agree with the actions and that we feel additional punishment is warranted.
finally, when you type on an open forum with such obvious lack of communication skills, you reflect badly on mankind as a whole. it saddens me that someone who spent 12 years in one of the better educational facilities around learned so little. i hope you spend some of your time as a soldier working to improve your education level.
and mom, everyone on here is someone's child. my mother wants you to quit picking on her son.

2012.....THE YEAR AMERICA AND PIKE TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
back in your day, did the graduating class trash the school as a prank?
It wasn't breaking and entering, because the door was unlocked.
And we all were told that if we stay to clean up and write our names down, we won't be punished. So if we get punished any farther thats messed up, it's called sticking to your word.
Nothing was left over the next day, it looked like new.
So I think all of ya'll need to;
1.Get a sence of humor and realise it's what seniors do, because my daddy said they did, or maybe you're not from Pike in which case you can go back to where ya'll came from because we don't wont you here.
or 2.Stop saying stuff that you know nothing about.
Never, never do that! Get it in writing first!
*sense
*realize
Jesus you sound stupid. And you're supposed to be a senior?! That's pathetic.
I don't think making statements like that shows any lessons have been learned, or the only reason they didn't go to jail was because there was too many of them and the jail would not hold us all anyway.
Why is there a need to have a senior prank anyway, and why are the kids on school grounds when school is not in session?
"YOU LIE!"
Quoting Mayhem:
"Because I hate cops."
MAYHEM, YOU LIE! You don't hate cops and meekly kiss their a**!
Somebody forged Mayhem's name.
Now for all you stupid people please go and get the earlybird special drink your prune juice and get to bed cause the suns going down.. No taxpayer money was or will be spent and you probably did not even know anything about this til someone told the next day..
This is the work of the Gifted and Honor students. If you are an indication of "the cream of the crop" we have a famine on the way, Honey.
I guess our education system is as pathetic as the corrected scores indicate in Georgia.
is your nickname ben "holier than thou" tact?
yes there are more important things to worry about in the world today. and had these fine students not created such a whirlwind by breaking the law and not being punished, we could move on to the more important things.

Class Of 1969
Let me put this out there for you in the new modern language of our modern day kids.
Now.......off you go........and stay there.
Not that I'm that technical of a person and I don't really care what people call it. However, people shouldn't be so quick to blast another person, especially when they really don't know what they're talking about.
The saddest part of this entire episode is reading the comments posted by seniors.
I hope they speak better than they write. There is no valedictorian material in this group. In fact, most should be repeating their senior year. Perhaps they saved a little vaseline and baby oil.
what the heck were you sleep walking or you accidentally thrashed the school? your statement makes no sense. mature? yeah right. not with a stupid statement like that. if yall didn't get caught the mess would have been the schools burden to clean up. just because you were stupid enough to get caught and forced to clean up the mess you want to put a whole new spin on what happened. anyone with half a brain including the prosecutor needs to figure how things would have played out if you all got away with it. if pike county is stupid enough to let this slide at least you will learn a valuable lesson. don't get caught on your next prank and the tax payers will clean up the mess you left behind.
seriously? you should be studying for your g.e.d
BTW: Animal House was a lame movie just like your response.
What we did was miniscule compared to the adults of this community
I offer a proposal - instead of another prank for which you will be negatively remembered - show Pike County and the world the "stuff" of which you are truly made.
C'mon now. It is just a little fun for us old people. Can we? Please.

Any more?

I pray that your momma was spaded after your introduction into the world.
Lil' Moses
BTW: it's spelt damn. You are just as bad as the seniors you claim can't spell.
now he is a registered farm offender. terrible.
It's done, punishment has been given, NOW GET OVER IT you can't change it.

"STP: Stop The Pranks"
Rader is a fine officer who serves Zebulon well. As he spreads his wisdom you would rather spread stupidity. Just from comparing posts it is obvious that you do not even have half the brain as Rader.
Now you behave, "bad city, bad city."
Sincerely,
Keith Rader
I told you all this cocky bastard is larger than life. He just declared the city of Zebulon his. He can have his fair city. It's just a small part of my unfair world.
So in your mind if Rader comes after you you are automaticaly guilty. Funny. Most would ask for an investigation and a trial to determine that. If your uncle is as bright as you I can see why he is in the big house.
Go back to shooting holes in paper.

One thing the kids should know. If you are with a friend and he pulls out a gun and shoots someone, you to can be charged in the shooting. The same for bank robbery. All you have to do is be there when the crime is commited. Think about that.

To Mr.

It is also disturbing that adults are finding it acceptable to speak to young people in this manner. It does explain why the students are responding in a manner that is embarrassing. I don't see just a lack of respect for authority, I see a lack of respect for mankind.
Why would you allow your child to be on government property when school is not in session?
I hope you only have one little convict.
Weren't you in the pranking class of 1955? Get caught? School officials let you off too?
Happy mopping, not mayhem.
It is no wonder the kids of today do not take responsibility for their actions, look at all the no name bloggers, not mayhem. You all cannot even take responsibility for your opinions. Do you constantly look behind your back as you cast your vote? After all, what if someone finds out who you voted for, the boogy man might get you........now crawl back under the covers.

God bless you all!
please provide your address so that the next prank can be carried out at your house. let them come over and trash your home. don't worry, some of them will come back and clean it up. you will have to hire a carpet cleaner though, that one they can't clean on their own.
maybe instead of encouraging more lawlessness, you should encourage them to do something positive with their life.
how about a senior gift instead of a senior prank? how about a senior day of volunteering instead of a senior prank? how about teaching them to be productive members of society instead of smart-*&^ punks?
FYI: Theses students aren't smartbutt punks half of them will graduate with honors and a 4.0 GPA, so I personally think people need to drop the matter and get on with their lives, these seniors are not criminals they are young adults making priceless memories and enjoying the life God has given them!
you can continue to defend the lawless actions of the vandalism that went on or you can swallow your pride and admit that it was wrong. i will do everything in my power to ensure that next year the senior class will understand that criminal activity will be met with the appropriate response.
i don't see how destruction of something that so many people have worked to provide can be considered a "precious memory". it is this warped thinking that continues to signal the end of this precious republic and it's people like you who continue to condone and defend these actions that erode the values that have made this country great.
You are far from my worst nightmare PUNK, my worst nightmare is in The White House.
So how about we fry those fish!
you have no idea about the world @ 25. oh i know you THINK you do but trust me, you don't.
To all the individual throwing rocks at these seniors, you need to take a step back and realize they only get to enjoy being a senior once in their lives. Each of these students worked hard to reach this year and moment in their life, they deserve the right to have a little fun! It has nothing to do with mama and daddy getting them out of it - it has to do with the fact that they accepted RESPONSIBILITY for the mess they made and as a class they came together to clean it all back up.
So were the Doughtery gang from last nights news........just a very few years ago. If these are really children writing on these comments, their parents need to spank their butts. Let them call DFACS, Teen Challenge has some available space.

"flew the coop today and uncle Calvin let me peck out a comment"
I would recommend that you take a serious look at your parenting skills, but with the comments from your grown daughter reflecting your pitiful attitude, that ship has long sailed.
i guess it's only when i speak that someone is being disrespectful. never mind your lack of respect for the people of this county who've paid for your little hoodlums escapades.
you can't justify what these children have done and you never will so give it up. calling me rude won't make these children's actions right not matter how many times you do it.
Let's see, father at 18, can't spell, can't form a coherent sentence, doesn't understand punctuation or sentence case, someone should have stuck their nose in your business a long time ago and taught you something, anything.

'A 2010 Pike girl''
Now....GET DOWN AND GIVE ME 100 PUSH UPS.
WOW!....................................WOW!
WOW!....................................WOW!

What an exciting story to elicit so many comments! Will there be a prize for #300?
FLASH MOB SENIORS TRASH SCHOOL
It's time to crack down on these Flash Mobs before someone decides to start striking back against them. Then we will hear the moms and dads on TV talking about how good their child was and never did anything wrong. Blah blah blah!
Parents should be ashamed for not knowing where their kids are and what they are doing. When I was a senior we were taught that we should set an example for the younger kids. As far as pranks go I've never heard of anything like what took place in Pike County and my ancestors were some of the first to settle there.
Unless the teacher shows up snockered, leave the person alone. I believe in rehabilitation!
Is this comment #300? Did I win a PCJR subscription? I hope isn't a date with Tolley.
DIPUTS MA I.
Get off the blog with your irresponsible comments and go oil your Mom's floor.
Gaseous Mr. Smith opined: "I wonder if any of you truely (sic) understand what your comments and views look like to the rest of the world."
I will comment and apologize for the other bloggers and shout in out in ALL CAPS!

It's over with!
spoons spoons spoons spoons that's all you is, I'll be the fork, light a spliff and smoke
with wiz.
you aren't the law you can't decide what happens to them on here, so stop stressin, honestly no one in the court system goes on here and checks the people's opinion to see what they want. Most of those kids parents are tightly knit with people in law enforcement and in the pike county court system. Nothing to terrible is going to happen with them, get over it. I am, and I pay taxes just like all of you, so uh, yeah folks that's all!
(:
highly doubtful. most of the posts defending these hoodlums actions are the parents.

Have Fun your Senior year but use some common sense !
advice was "RIGHT ON" target.
Does anyone have an update on him? Is he okay?
second, when students trash a community asset (the schools are paid for by the county taxpayers) they have every right to come here and condemn this type of behavior. we are not butting into someone else's business. we are confirming that we don't agree with the actions and that we feel additional punishment is warranted.
finally, when you type on an open forum with such obvious lack of communication skills, you reflect badly on mankind as a whole. it saddens me that someone who spent 12 years in one of the better educational facilities around learned so little. i hope you spend some of your time as a soldier working to improve your education level.
and mom, everyone on here is someone's child. my mother wants you to quit picking on her son.
