When our founding fathers first considered fighting for freedom, it was not an easy decision to make. Many lost their lives before America could call itself a nation.

In the past 235 years, America has fought countless other wars and sacrificed millions and millions of brave soldiers’ lives. None of those involved made the easy decision. They left their families at home and took on the nation’s struggles as their own, fighting for a dream they hoped would become reality.

In other words, what you're saying is that WE the People are responsible for all the unchecked spending our "elected representatives" have practiced for the last decade. You're saying we should condone all that the jackasses in D.C. have done and are doing. You're saying all the people in this country should cough up more money to pay for incomptence. I say NO !!! I say make our elected officials be responsible for their actions. I say let them not have their own private retirement plan, private medical plan, and All the perks they have given themselves while telling us, the people who elected them that we have to tighten up and suffer. Yes, everyone should do their part. But to Congress that means do nothing and blame others for the excesses Congress is responsible for.

Bull, what the heck are you smoking? How did you come up with that position from reading this article? Who is asking anyone to condone anything? Who is being blamed?

That is one thing about a crack pipe. You do not have to put it out it goes out by itself. Most often before you want it too.

Yes, we the people are to blame. We keep asking the governments (local,state & federal) to do more for us, protect us from ourselves. Where do we expect the money to come from to pay for al this? When it comes to paying, somehow means someone

douglas, those bad rich people have to pay more. you know the ones making more than 250,000 a year. haven't you been listening to the greatest president who ever held the office?

The Bush tax cuts stripped the Treasury, along with the Bush wars. I'm having a hard time understanding how taxing individuals who earn more than $250k will prevent job growth. Especially since giving them the tax cuts (along with corporate tax reduxtions) resulted in the loss of more jobs and fleeing industries. No, FTB, unless you're one of the "rich" ones I don't understand your comments. But then again, what do I know?

I do not understand his comments either. If he made anything close to $250,000 he wouldn't be whining like a beotch repeatedly on this site.

i don't even know how to respond to your statements. i've never seen anyone so completely wrong.

tax cuts do not force businesses overseas, tax increases do. you need to check and see what our corporate tax rates are in this country. we are in the top 10 highest corporate tax rates already.
