Citizen says taxpayers should appeal
At the June 15 Pike commission budget workshop meeting, I addressed the board expressing my concerns about the county employees payroll and insurance plan. I think every taxpayer in Pike County deserves to know that the commissioners are receiving about $5 million each year from property taxes.
I have no blood kin to help me. My child and I have almost been killed in so called accidents for land and insurance money. I've come to find out it's okay to murder women & children as long as there's money or property to go around.
I went without lights for more than 2 months last year. Anyone who knows me will tell you I work hard. I love to work. It gives you a sense of accomplishment.
I'm a year behind in my taxes. They add 10% after a few months, I think 3 months and 1% each and every month you are behind. That's 21 or 22% interest every year your behind. I bet everyone would like to get that interest rate on their money.

I don't mind the games you play
