Recently discovered infestations of cogongrass in Pike and Upson counties have been eradicated by the Georgia Forestry Commission. The infestation in Upson was discovered by an alert landowner. In Pike, a passerby recognized cogongrass on a roadside. Both notified the GFC, whose forest health professionals positively identified the invasive weed and sprayed the infestations with herbicides. This was the first infestation found in Upson and the second confirmed in Pike.

Do not try and smoke this stuff. Most of it has been sprayed by the GaAg Dept. Even if it has been stored in baggies and sealed in orange buckets don't chance it. We have to look after our brothers and sisters, TAKE HEED.
