The Pike County Pirates football team held its spring practice for the last two weeks and the annual Red and White game last Thursday, May 19.
The Pirates started out with 125 players at the beginning of the spring practice and ended with 115 players. Also, 45 eighth graders came out for the team. Eighteen helmets and pads had to be borrowed from the recreation department to dress out all the players.
