Five students from Pike County Middle School were selected to serve as mayor and council for a day at Zebulon city hall May 11. Mayor Carson Griffith and council members Shakarria Evans, Courtney Bagwell, Peyton Lee and Hobby Gregory were selected because of the quality of their “If I were Mayor, I would” essays.
