An elite team from Navy Seal Team 6 flew to Pakistan and assaulted a luxury hideout located less than 100 yards from a Pakistani military academy. The location of the hideout has implicated the Pakistani government, supposedly a U.S. ally, in protecting bin Laden.
The Seal team lost one chopper but suffered no casualties.
In New York, celebrations broke out at Ground Zero, the site where bin Laden's terrorists brought down the World Trade Center and killed 3000 civilians. New Yorkers danced in the streets and waved American flags.
At the same time, U.S. embassies and bases around the world were put on heightened security alert in expectation of reprisals.
U.S. military personnel took custody of bin Laden's body, positively identified the remains and buried him at sea.

Our economic crisis was in the works before Obama became President. The first bailout occurred under Bushs watch (so did 2 unfunded wars that are bankrupting us). It was Obamas bad luck to be the patsy because some people just cant put 2 and 2 together.
go check the deficits under bush/republican congress and bush/democratic congress. you'll quickly see who the spendaholics really are.
as far as wars, we were out of afghanistan at the end of the bush presidency and obama put us back in. iraq was almost complete when obama took office and he simply followed the plan that bush already had in place.

Point #2: Prior to Clinton leaving office, there was a balanced budget. The national debt was 5.7 trillion. After Bush, the national debt nearly doubled to 10.7 trillion due to tax cuts for his buddies, 2 expensive wars and a bank bailout that took place prior to Obamas inauguration. Whether you want to admit it or not, Obama began his term with his hands tied behind his back and the Republicans kicking him for not doing a better job dealing with Bushs mess. Nice tactic.
How Obama has helped me? My spouse was laid off due to the housing market collapse in 2008 and again from his new job in summer 2009. Our house almost forclosed. Thank GOD for extended unemployment benefits. Since then, my spouse found a job in fall 2009 and we were able to refinance our home under Obamas plan. Federal taxes taken out of my paycheck are 60% less than in previous years which began April 2009 and continues through this year. Also, I have not lost my job though hundreds of thousands of Americans have. I have no complaints.
2 - if you look at the bush years, the majority of increase in debt occurred after the democrats took a super majority in the house and senate in 2006. obama in just 2 years increased the national debt to 13.9 trillion. The largest single year increase in the history of the country.
if your federal taxes dropped by 60% it's because you are making less. the only decrease in tax rates has been implemented by the republicans in 2011 and only agreed to by obummer when the government was about to shut down because the democrats were too cowardly to approve the budget last year when it should have been done.
barack hussein obama is against everything america was built on: independence, self-reliance and capitalism. he, along with the rest of the democrats want you to be completely dependent on the government. and you are blindly following right along.

I shake hands with obvious military personnel when I see them in stores and pay for their purchase if I can afford it at the time. Some are celebrating his death, some are leaving it up to God but no matter how one feels, it is a political issue and therefore, posting thoughts about political parties are appropriate.

One of the best Girls Soccer teams takes on The Rich private School Greater Atlanta Christian school in a major state soccer playoff game.

Less then a couple of hundred yards away at the same time the Pike County Baseball starts its quest for the State Championship. Did you notice this team started out 1 and 4 and there were some naysayers on this board ripping the coach. Well guess what over 20 plus wins in a row since and #2 ranking in the state going into Friday evenings Double Header.
These teams need our support.
