Bull Bash heads to Meansville

For the first time, and for two days only, some of the toughest cowboys and bovine athletes around will grace the Peach State for the 2011 Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association-sanctioned Bull Bash. This extreme bull riding event will be held April 29-30 at the Chestnut Oak Center in Meansville, four miles south of Zebulon on Highway 19.

Shame.
The poor bulls could break a leg and have to be put down. I will pass on the macho event.

Putting a bull down isn't necessarily a bad thing. All that hamburger meat has to come from somewhere; and why not have a little cowboy fun in Pike Co? Our roots are in agri-business and this fits right in.

Have you ever seen a bucking bull work?

We could break our legs going to or while working a job we hate.

They LOVE their job and are treated like royalty most of the time.

I get so tired of the absolute IGNORANCE regarding this great sport.

I'm sorry I was out of town working this weekend and had to miss it.

I hope it was a success and will be back!

Have you ever heard of Ty Murray, PBR, or the State of Texas? We all disagree with your stupid comment... I sure wish I would have been home so I could have attended.

Lots of sports are "stupid" but still fun. Bull riding is a lot more exciting to watch than golf!

It would have been better not to have planned this event for Easter weekend.
