i think it's time for people to take responsibility for the care of their own children or stop having them. the school lunch program is not free. a working taxpayer pays for it.
I totally agree with you Mr Tard...there are many parents who maybe should not have had children and who do not care for their children properly, but the children should not be punished because they were born with lousy parents. If we take away the lunch programs because deadbeat parents are taking advantage of it, it is the kids who will suffer. Taking away the program won't guarantee that the parents will change their ways. All it would do is ensure that an unfortunate child will be hungry.
There should be a law that anyone that can not take care and feed their children should be subject to sterlization. Maximunm two kids and out. Would save taxpayers money and eliminate alot of crime.
If you are on public assistance. You should not be allowed to have children. If the parent has no job, they should be required to work 8 hours per day in a soup kitchen in exchange for meals.
socialism is when you take from the people who work and give to the people who don't without any responsibility.

requiring someone to work for a living is called capitalism. it's what build this country and made it great. i know you don't get taught that in school anymore but it is true nonetheless.
lol..its capitalist for the goverment to tell people when they are allowed to have children? I believe you are a closet socialist..or possibly communist since the chinese have already adopted your idea.
you are asking for government to get itself involved more than it already is..dont let the tea party find out or they will revoke your "real american patriot" membership card.

no, i am saying that IF you are on assistance, the people who are providing it SHOULD have say in how many of your bastards we want to support.
if you don't want the people to have a say then stay off government assistance.
please look up the term socialist before you use it again. you really should have some education about what the word means before you spit it out around the internet.
Here's an idea...the school nurse weighs each kid who has been getting a free lunch for a long period of time (give a break to temporarily unemployed parents). Then stop the free lunch program for a month. The nurse re-weighs each child. If the child has lost weight, it should be determined if the parents gave up their cell phones, cable, and manicures. If they did not, remove the child from the home because the parent would rather have those things than to feed their children. Thus, they are unfit to be parents. Government intrusion...maybe...but if you don't like it don't live off government handouts.
It is sad that all you people do is comment on issues that u really dont have a clue. Everyone that is on free lunch are not on welfare, dont get pedicures or manicures. Some people actually work hard and do the best with their kids. I have two of my own. I dont sit around waitin on you "tax-payers" to do anything for mine. Luckily Im blessed that I dont have to. Its not for you or anyone to judge people. Ok people make mistakes and hopefully they learn from it. You may be blessed right now to be able to provide for your kids who's to say that within the next hour, day, weeks, months, or year that you wont be in same boat with these that are struggling. All Im saying is "don't count your chickens before they hatch. Parents do what you have to for your kids God will reward you.
I believe that we should be helping people who are truly in need...I'm just sick of continuing to give and give and give to people who believe they are entitled to that help. I see kids day in and day out have access to free and reduced lunches and those same kid spend untold dollars (over a school year) at the snack bar and drink machines. These same kids walk around with DS games, cell phones and dressed better than my own children. I know ths is not a fact for all of the families who receive help but it is DEFINITLY the case for many of them. I do believe that I am blessed to have a job and that I can provide for my family but I'm also tired of paying for people who obviously NOT ever going to attempt to help themselves.
