Pike County voters approved the SPLOST referendum Tuesday. The vote was not as close as expected.
With all precincts reporting, the final tally was:
TOTAL:
1155 - YES votes
740 - NO votes
Voting by precinct ran as follows:
Helen Beckham, city clerk of Molena, brings in election data and voting machines with Larry and Evelyn Jones.

Two years ago. We vote no. We don't need a full time paid Pike County fire chief and firefighter with not all firehouse.

Makes no sense having a board member with revoked drivers permit, outstanding bad checks,
no auto insurance and past due Pike property taxes. Get real and run the county like professionals. Bill Avery paid his taxes even while living in Alabama.
