Mr. Glenn Raymond Abbott, age 80, of Meansville, passed away on September 17, 2016. He was born in Ephrata, PA, son of the late Alice Hertzler Abbott. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a member of the Naval Construction Forces called the “Seabees.” Mr. Abbott was a member of the American Legion Post 197. He received his construction training in the military. He worked for Hill Construction in Thomaston for 40 years. After retiring, he worked for TLC Contractors in Thomaston, and was the Superintendent for the Pike County Road Department. Mr. Abbott was a volunteer fireman for the City of Meansville for 40 years, and enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. He was a good husband, father and grandfather.
