Puppy Love is a juried photography show that will be exhibited during the month of February at A Novel Experience bookstore in Zebulon. 

This will be the sixth year for the Puppy Love photography show which focuses on the unconditional love received from dogs.   [Full story »] 

Pike County schools are bringing a student favorite back to the lunch menu - pizza.

“We had to take it off the menu for a few months due to changes in our Nutrition Guidelines provided by the state,” said school nutrition assistant director Brian Davison. “The new pizza is lower in sodium and fat.” [Full story »]

In 2011, Scarlett Mullis, Abbi Hood and Ashleighanna Johnson had a vision that children with special needs deserve the same opportunities as every other child. They partnered with the Pike County Navigator Team and through the support of the team and their parents, in 2012 they hosted the first ever special needs fashion show in Pike County, “Paris in Pike.” That first show had about 100 people attending. The first baby born in 2013 to Pike County parents is little Andrew Bralen Williams of Molena. He was 9 pounds and 20 inches long when he was born at Piedmont Fayette Hospital on New Year's Day at 9:35 p.m. [Full story »]

Brett Beshers is the definition of courageous. On Aug. 12, 2011, he was diagnosed with leukemia. He has battled the disease for a year and a half.

For six weeks in November and December, A Novel Experience bookstore in downtown Zebulon, held the “Good Books, Good Cause” book drive to help the local library update and refurbish its collection.
