The family of Randall Wayne Smith, 29, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 7 claims he was denied medical care while in the Pike County jail and that led to his death. According to Sheriff Jimmy Thomas, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations was called in to do interviews after the incident. [Full story »]

The Pike County Narcotics Unit arrested two individuals at the Petro Station across from Dairy Queen Monday, Sept. 24. Michael Roy Jones, 43, of Thomaston and Jennifer Lehman, 32, of Zebulon, were arrested through collaborative efforts of the Pike County sheriff’s office and Zebulon police department. [Full story »]
