Pike County commission members disagreed on a proposed amendment to the code to offer a 75% discount on all non-residential impact fees at the Feb. 28 meeting. Members voted 2-3 to deny the proposal after a motion to approve the 75% reduction failed for lack of a second. [Full story »]

During a nearly two hour meeting March 1, Williamson city council discussed an alleged Environmental Protection Division violation involving a pile of sticks and leaves to be burned. What began as a warning to fine the city $25,000 per day was refined to a penalty of $1,000, which was disputed. [Full story »]
