Thompson murder case continued
Accused killer Adrian Thompson was in court Oct. 28 for a status hearing before Judge Tommy Hankinson. Defense attorney Allen Adams said he and his defendant would be meeting in a few days with a doctor to determine what type of hearing system would best help Thompson hear during his trial.

Band is big city bound
Supporters of the Pike County High School band plan to say goodbye to band members as they travel to New York City Nov. 8 to play in the annual Veteran’s Day Parade and the Twin Towers Tribute. Two charter buses will carry 71 band members from 7th to 12th grade, 27 chaperones and band director Chad Reynolds to NYC.
