Arrest made in fatal crash
A single car crash on Chapel Hill Road here killed two local residents early Sunday morning, Nov. 13 according to sheriff Jimmy Thomas.

House fire to remain a mystery
The burning of the Burousas home in Concord is no longer under investigation after the state fire marshal’s office said the cause of the fire was undetermined. It can no longer be considered an arson and is a closed case, according to Mitch Madaglia with the Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner.

Thompson murder case continued
Accused killer Adrian Thompson was in court Oct. 28 for a status hearing before Judge Tommy Hankinson. Defense attorney Allen Adams said he and his defendant would be meeting in a few days with a doctor to determine what type of hearing system would best help Thompson hear during his trial.
