Weis gets life without parole

Nearly five and a half years after Catherine King was brutally beaten and shot to death in her own kitchen, killer Jamie Ryan Weis pled guilty in Pike County court and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility for parole. The sentencing occurred after Weis asked a sheriff’s deputy in open court to pass a note to District Attorney Scott Ballard. The note said Weis wanted to plead guilty in the death penalty case but asked for seven years before his execution to say goodbye to his family. [Full story »]
