WHEREAS, the City of Zebulon is a duly incorporated municipality and properly established pursuant to the authority of the Constitution of the State of Georgia and the laws of the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the City of Zebulon desires to review and to consider appropriate revisions to city’s ordinances pertaining to the permitting and regulation of temporary businesses, itinerant sales, traveling sales, door-to-door sales and/or peddlers;
WHEREFORE, and pursuant to the power and authority afforded the City of Zebulon by virtue of the Constitution of the State of Georgia, The Georgia Code, and the City Charter, including but not limited to the City’s police powers; and, in an effort to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Zebulon, the City of does hereby impose a moratorium on any and all temporary businesses, itinerant sales, traveling sales, door-to-door sales, and/or peddlers for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days.
The City of Zebulon, in the regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council dated July 12, 2011, by a majority vote, did establish this Moratorium for the purposes as stated forth above, to be effective as of July 12, 2011 for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days.
