Pike County’s most popular border collies will be part of the halftime show for the Atlanta Falcons last home game Jan. 2. Their owner and renowned dog trainer Mark Muir will take the dogs from their Concord home to the dome early in the morning on the day of the game. [Full story »]

The Pike County Pirates football team held its 2010 banquet last Thursday to recognize the accomplishments of the players. The Pirates ended the season with a 5-5 record after starting off with five consecutive wins. Injur-ies plagued the Pirates in the last half of the season. [Full story »]
