The Pike County Pirates cruised into first place last Tuesday with a 6-1 victory over the Callaway Cavaliers. The long ball was the catalyst as four home runs were hit. Kaleb Lynch hit two homers while Kody Adams and Chris Long homered also. [Full story »]

Middle school field gets green

The Pike County Touchdown Club raised enough money to sod 60 yards of a football field at the middle school. Work started March 24. The sod should be rooted and ready for the middle school football team to practice there this spring. [Full story »]

Deel signs softball scholarship with Lee University

Lady Pirates softball player Kyndal Deel signed with Lee University to play softball there for the next four years. Lee University is a liberal arts college in Cleveland, Tenn., and a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. [Full story »]

Pirates head basketball Coach Mark Andrews celebrated a milestone on Feb. 9 with his 300th win in a victory over Callaway by a score of 70-66. It took Andrews 29 years of coaching to accumulate the 300 win milestone. [Full story »]
