Man arrested after foot chase
A man was arrested near downtown Zebulon Friday afternoon after an extensive chase. The chase, which drew a huge law enforcement response, resulted in one arrest. The arrested man was not armed robbery suspect Kevin Chapman, 22, who was captured Jan. 27 in Clayton County.

GSP report
Georgia State Patrol Post 26 in Thomaston investigated one traffic crash during December in Pike County, resulting in one injury. Troopers issued 82 citations including two DUI, 45 speeding and 15 seat belt violations. They issued 98 warnings.

Burousas tries to cut herself with pencil
Recent rumors claim Teresa Burousas attempted suicide recently in Upson County Jail. She is not currently under suicide watch at the jail after a Christmas Eve incident in which she used a pencil to try to cut herself.

Pike killer's death confirmed
Nearly 24 hours after The Journal-Reporter first broke this story, the Georgia Department of Corrections confirmed that Leeland Mark Braley hung himself in his cell on death row. He was found dead at 5:12 a.m. New Years Day.
