Taylor extradited to face charges for W.Va. murder

Jeffery Taylor, the Meansville man facing first-degree murder charges in West Virginia, was returned to that state Thursday.

He is being held without bond at the North Central Regional Jail in Greenwood, West Va., according to Lt. Pat McCarty of the Harrison County sheriff’s department. [Full story »]

Georgia State Patrol Post 26 in Thomaston investigated one traffic crash during October in Pike County, with no injuries or deaths. Troopers issued 122 citations, including 65 speeding, 32 seat belt violations and five child restraint violations. They issued 87 warnings. [Full story »]

Griffin police officer Chad Moxon, a Lamar County resident, has offered a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who kidnapped and killed his partner Jimmy.
