Pike County’s jobless rate hit double digits for the first time in April, but it still has the lowest unemployment in the McIntosh Trail region. April’s joblessness was 10%.

The work force numbered 7,990 people with 7,194 working and 796 looking for jobs. In March, the numbers were 7,945 total people, 7,211 working and 734 seeking jobs. [Full story »]
