At Monday's Meansville city council, members voted to authorize the county manager to draft an intergovernmental agreement with the county fire department following a lengthy executive session.

We do not like the word IF, but if the professional chief had not been run off this would have taken place long ago. The BOC fired a good man with a family at`a bad time.
