Growers are gearing up for the 2009 Market on the Square which opens April 11.

Shown (clockwise from left) are Catherine Woodall with a basket of fresh peppers and corn at the 2008 market. Greg Brown holds flowers from Greenleaf Farms. John Kendrick offers up baskets of fresh produce while Dana Lamar is happy just to hold a ripe pear.

The market is opening earlier in the season this year.
