I‘m not much of a global warming alarmist.
You can collect and extrapolate data to prove just about anything and the global warming freaks do just that to support their views and radical opinions.
Our economy and attitude have changed

As a Non-Biblical Christian you should know all about extrapolating data for the purpose of upholding a belief.

Did your friends from New York tell you about the sand trucks they have up there? This storm would have been nothing up north. The south is truly about 100 years behind in many aspects. Clearing winter roads is one of them. The last blizzard that hit New York dumped about two feet of snow and was cleared in less than 24 hours after the storm stopped. Roads are continually salted during a storm up north to prevent ice from even forming. You think I am going to risk losing my $5000 truck for a days pay? And like any Yankee will tell you southern folks are clueless to driving in winter storm conditions and pose another threat. What is so important to risk your safety and damage to your property. The DOT told everyone to stay off the roads. Heavy firetrucks were getting stuck in this past storm. Truck drivers that had your old school work ethics were jack knifed up and down major interstates. These modern times are all about profits. In this economy risking a $150,000 18-Wheeler to get a load of bread to the store does not seem like a wise business decision. The citizens of Georgia didnt shut the state down. The government did. I am surprised you did not direct this article toward the lack of service this state provides during these storms. With a father who spent his life as a truck driver. And as a man who has been in and seen he share of accidents. And as a man who lost a friend in an storm after his car slid on ice. The best thing you can do is stay home in these circumstances. Until the south buys some of them new fangled salt spreaders dem northern folks are using. Stay home.

One small correction. Actually the jobs went overseas, thus killing the mills, and THEN the mills shut down. After the workers lost their jobs the many other local businesses from auto dealers on down shut their doors as well. Not exactlty progress.
