In what is – or is not – a sign of a recovering economy, local sales tax revenues stayed steadily in the quarter-million range, rising slightly through the year but ending the period with slightly less money coming in than before.

Amazing--since the current sales tax is supposed to be 6% since last September when the last SPLOST expired. If charged 7% tell the clerk and manager. The county and state should have notified all the business, but I'll bet they didn't looking for a windfall.

so, does this mean that by lowering the tax rates, we are actually increasing the spending in the county? those pesky conservatives and their ideas.
