Players have quit for a variety of reasons, I'm sure. At least a couple quit during the winning streak and not surprisingly a few more have since then.
Whether it's unusual or not I wouldn't know. But I do know there were a lot of young men still fired up about playing last night. I also saw seniors torn up not just about losing their final game and missing a shot at the playoffs but about their high school football careers being over. So, I guess I'm more focused on the ones on the team than on those who chose to go in a different direction, regardless of their motivations.
IN GOD WE TRUST
i have heard all speculations about if we didn't hav a winnin season he wuld be gone.....

I think he already makes more than he's worth.
we're teaching our children to be mediocre so that we don't hurt the feelings of those who don't live up to societies standards. instead of requiring everyone to perform at a high level, we lower the bar and tell them to have fun.
put 100% into everything you do young man and you will go far regardless of what your coach or boss tells you.
I have seen some life lessons taught in the years my son has played for Coach Mac. Toward the end of the season, I received a handwritten note from my son; Coach Mac instructed each player and coach to write a note of gratitude to someone. They took about 10 minutes of practice time to do so. I have heard my son tell some of the things Coach Mac has said to the team during the course of the season.
Is he a perfect coach? No. Could he be stricter and firmer? Sure. Should he? Yes. But is he a good coach and a good man? From what I have seen in the four years my son has played for him, my answer is ABSOLUTELY.
