Either Republican Nathan Deal or Democrat Roy Barnes will be the next governor of Georgia. The race could be decided in the general election next Tuesday but a runoff is looking more and more likely.
Who will you vote for and why?
Deal vs. Barnes

My grand daddy always said vote early and vote often.
Barnes does not have personal debt like Deal because he stole enough while in his last governorship position to cover himself.
A political trick. Just like the timing of the (yesterday) terrorist attack that obama most likely planned so that people will vote Democrat. Politics suck! Democrats suck more.
Voting Democrat in this election is just putting Americans in the line of "Little Sheep Led to Slaughter."
We will have more and much more serious Terrorist Attacks (Muslim Planned with obama approval) when the presidential election nears.
My life has been very good and I have very, very few complaints. I am happy and I know that ticks you off...doesn't it?
Georgia’s two candidates for governor have a lot to argue about, but on Thursday they went beyond the pale and out to pasture.
Democrat Roy Barnes faces Republican Nathan Deal in the general election Tuesday. But in the meantime he also faces a city of Marietta inquiry into whether he is violating zoning laws by keeping cows on his property there.
The former governor has two heifers, Molly and Polly, who recently featured in a light-hearted campaign commercial. Barnes also had a campaign event last week to introduce newborn calves Tiger and Frisky.
It is not clear who dropped the dime on Barnes’ bovines. Deal’s spokesman, Brian Robinson, said the complaint did not come from the Republican’s campaign. Robinson was pleased, nonetheless, to whey in on the issue.
“This puts Roy’s neighbors in a bind,” he said. “On the one hand, they don’t want a neighbor who thinks the zoning laws don’t apply to him. On the other hand, they don’t want him to move to the Governor’s Mansion. It’s a conundrum worthy of a philosophical debate.”
Marietta’s zoning ordinance provides, in part, that “no livestock shall be kept on a lot containing less than five acres.” Property records show that Barnes’ home is built on one acre, but he owns additional property in the same area.
Barnes’ campaign manager, Chris Carpenter, said city zoning laws are confusing, but said that if pressed, Barnes would fight “to the highest court in the land” to keep the cows.
Marietta City Attorney Doug Haynie would say only that the city is looking into the matter.
“The city is not concerned with any politics whatsoever,” Haynie said Thursday. “The city has received an inquiry as to whether or not the property is properly zoned for livestock and the city is reviewing that right now.”
Haynie said it will take several days of marinating before an answer is ready, and he would not answer further questions.
You need to go early because when they try to sort out all you anono's in the voting process, it will be time consuming.
I need to go early because I also vote for my Mother and Sister. They have only been dead ten years, so I carry on for them. Vote early and as many times as possible, that's my way!
