Piketoberfest set for Saturday

For a haunted Halloween experience, visit the courthouse square in Zebulon Saturday, Oct. 30. Downtown businesses will distribute candy to trick for treaters and there will be spooky decorations, music, a costume contest, festival food, games and readings of The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe at A Novel Experience.

This sounds nice, but with it being on "Trick or Treating" night, they probably won't have as many people show as they would have if it would have been on another night. Friday would have been a better time to have it I believe.

I think this is a great thing for our community considering there are not alot of neighborhoods where children can go to "trick-or-treat" in and I believe that Saturday was a great pick. Just like the last person said, people work on Friday!! I never can understand how people always find something to complain about in the things that others do for our children!!! Just be greatful and if you don't agree, just keep your negativity to yourself!!!

We people getting home late from work etc. Pike has made this and done this as a friendly thing for the residents and Children. I think it is a great idea.
