It's hard for me to believe that two players impacted this team so much. Nate Ferrell and Kody Adams not in the picture has pretty much eliminated the Pirates hopes of the Playoffs. I don't ever recall a team starting out 5-0, followed by a 0-5 ending. I hope the Pirates can win big next week in their last game of the season. It has to be tough on our players but they are giving their all. I am stll proud of all of them. Go Pirates !

I heard that Pike is considering not even having a football team next year since both Nate and Kody are seniors.

As the number would indicate, Pike has a decent defense but they have no speed. Look at all the long td's they have given up. Once they are in the secondary there is no speed to catch-up.

Nate was easily the best QB in the region and Kody was the best corner/all purpose player in the region, then you take our other starting corner and put at QB. I don't think many high school teams can recover from that much of a loss.

I don't think anyone can pass judgement on someone elses future. If you actually keep up with Pike football you would notice the defense has given up fewer points in this 0-4 skid than in the previous 5-0 start. The difference is with Nate at QB we were avg 30+ points a game. The offense has lost confidence.

Execution, is my opinion, it's the same offense that got us to 5-0.

Not playing the same teams that got us to 5-0. Only 1 of the first 5 teams we played ( Greene County) has even a shot to make the playoffs and that would probably be as the 4 seed.

Agreed on Pikes football history, but disagree on the competition. NE Macon only won one game before beating us, We were up early on Lamar before our QB went down, We were beating Morgan with a minute to go, and tied with the number one team in the region at half only to loose by two scores. Say what you want, but this region was ripe for the taking and we were on our way before our QB got hurt!

Dont start with that Pike was up early on Lamar only because of 2 fumbles close to yall end zone those were easy touch downs on behalf of Lamar, not once did Pike go down the field and score, face it Pike has never had a good football team so good lock with baseball:) LC playoff bound!!!

Lets re-live it shall we, Lamars offense only scored one TD, Pikes QB goes down in the first qtr after leading two scoring drives (Short field drives) Lamar's offense had the ball on Pikes side of the field most of the rest of the night due to inexperience QB and negative punt yards and could only manage one score. Lamars d-line is better than most, but the fact that you guys are making the playoffs, verifies my comment on the region being ripe for the taking!

You will have plenty of time to re-live your entire season during the playoffs!

After the Greene Co game and next week after Montecello beats Lamar I guess we'll all have time to sit around and re-live the season! Oh yeah, and start looking forward to baseball season.
