Teacher of the year announced
She graduated from Pike County schools and has been teaching science at the middle school for 14 years now. This year she earned the school system’s highest honor. Christian Callahan was named systemwide Teacher of the Year at a surprise meeting in her science classroom with superintendent Dr. Michael Duncan, principal Dr. Vickie Smith and others Tuesday, Oct. 12.

I had Mrs. Callahan back in 2003-04. She definitely deserves to be teacher of the year! :)
