The Macon Telegraph

The state Board of Regents has dodged an illegal immigration bullet — for now. During its Wednesday meeting, the regents voted on recommendations not to allow illegal immigrants entry to the state’s public colleges and universities, but there is a big “if” included that has angered both proponents and opponents of the new directive.

Holding any person back from getting an education is stupid. There is no good reason for it. So let me understand how this fake country stands on this. An illegal is allowed in this country but can not go to school. But they can work. It is a fact that people with little or no education commit more crimes than those who are educated. Why would anyone prefer to live in society with uneducated people. I would think the more educated people inside our borders the better. They are already here. They might as be the most outstanding "citizens" they can be. But thats just my take. I am sure all the others on this site, who already proved their ignorance, are against it. Consider them a perfect example of how people in society think when they lack education.

Once again your reading skills are sorely lacking. The article is not about keeping people from being educated but about keeping illegal aliens from being educated with the taxpayers money.

You poorly read an article/blog and then spout off with some off the wall reply that shows a complete lack of understanding of anything you read. Then you tell everyone else how they lack insight when in fact it is you who don't understand the simplest things.

Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes. Illegal immigrants have no legal standing in the US hence "Illegal immigrants".

State sponsored schools are supported by taxpayer money. The taxpayers should not be paying for illegal immigrants to attend school.

I know you liberals believe that socialism is the answer but it has failed repeatedly throughout history. You would know that but apparently the school you attended only taught the word "insight", that there are 10 commandments and Saturday is the Sabbath.

Please, I believe you deserve it, go back and get your money back from whatever institution attempted to educate you. It didn't work.

This is where you are wrong. Again. Illegal immigrants do pay taxes. Do you think when they go shopping the stores do not charge them tax because the are illegal immigrants. So the state makes plenty of money off them. If you knew anything about the night club business in Atlanta the majority of the money is from illegals. Illegals also buy lottery tickets which fund schools. This is just money the state gets from illegals. Now let me explain how the country benefits. Many illegals use false social security numbers to obtain a paycheck. Millions of dollars go unclaimed every year because illegals do not file tax returns. It must suck going through life as simple minded as you. I hope this insight helps you understand the tax money generated by illegals. I really do not enjoy proving you wrong all the time. Once again you show how young and inexperienced you have to be. Illegal immigrants are hired off the books and paid cash. Sales tax is a tiny portion of taxes and pales in comparison to the cost to the infrastructure of the country that illegal immigrants abuse.

Working in a shop with mechanics? I spend time here but I would not call it work. There is no grease under my nails I can promise you that. My partners brother in law owns Wings n Things. He actually has more than one location and has not fried a chicken wing in years. No work and is a self made millionaire. How does he do it? You will probably spend the rest of your life trying to figure that out. I was told there is a whole country of people that are just waiting to be pimped. And now in this economy they are begging to be pimped. With all these uneducated and unmotivated white folk around somebody has to pimp them. How else will they eat. Poor people would starve to death. America the land of opportunity. It is simple minded Americans like you that makes immigrants so valuable to this country. It seems like they are the only ones that see the potential this country has. Americans seem to be the minority when it comes to being doctors also. I had a family member spend a month in the hospital. From the surgeons to the attending doctor not one American. The Americans were to busy changing bed pans and mopping the floor. You just hit on another topic. My neighbor is working on the books as a U S citizen. On the end of the year between his income and his children he actually gets more back than he pays in on taxes. Get real. You need to look at the tax game as a whole. Millions of tax payers cost this country money. That is one reason illegals are accepted in this country. They are low maintenance for the government. And no maintenance for Social Security. You do not get any benefits form Social Security no matter who you are if you do not pay into it. So that is not a money issue. Fair tax? Ask some folks that had to deal with the IRS about fair tax. One thing about America is that there is a motive for EVERYTHING that goes on in this country. If the country as a whole does not benefit it will be shut down. Just like all the meth labs in America are being targeted because the only meth that is really permitted is from Mexico. America can not make any money off someone making meth at their house. And that is a no no in the drug trade.

There are all sorts of programs funded by payments into social security. Including a fund that pays for health care for people who can't afford it.

This along with multitudes of other payments is how illegal aliens take money out of the system without ever paying in.

How does that work? My father just started receiving his Social Security check and has to wait 2 years for medical benefits. I also know a man that can not afford health care and there is no help from Social Security for him. And he has a Social Security number. But as for an illegal immigrant how would they get any help without a Social Security number and what assistance are the entitled to. I am far from ignorant and would really like to be informed on this matter. I looked into it myself and cannot figure out what you are spouting off about. But I am not saying you are wrong. I am all about learning how this country works. Look forward to your reply.

SSI/SSDI, welfare just to name a couple. These systems pay the newborn children (anchor babies) so that their parents (who can't legally work) can stay in country until they are legal adults.

Adult illegals go to the emergency room for health care and generally never pay their bills. The hospital is required by law to treat them on an emergency basis, this is partially subsidized by medicare or medicaid (i get them mixed up).

You can do your own research into the costs per capita of illegal immigrants to the American taxpayer.

One of the reasons your father has to wait so long is that all of the money has been spent and they try to delay you as long as they can in order to prevent going further in the hole.

That sounds like America to me. You hit the nail right on the head about pops having to wait. I just do not feel any hate toward them. If I was an immigrant I am sure I would be spending most of my time trying to cross the border into America also. I just put myself in other peoples shoes sometimes. A friend of mines daughter had a 4.7+ GPA coming out of high school with very high SAT scores and couldn't get into UGA.

I can't help but think that this was possibly caused by the children of illegal immigrants who get minority status preferential treatment.

A friend of mine now is being denied the HOPE scholarship. A lifelong resident of Georgia denied a scholarship that is supposed to be for everyone from the state. Why? Because they've spent all the money on minorities who attended for 2 years of less and dropped out.

I don't hate them. I simply want them to respect the laws of our country.

To allow illegal immigrants the entry to colleges in The United States is aiding a criminal. Illegal, what part of that word is so hard to understand? It starts with little things like this....then the the first thing you know, we have a president with no proof of being an American citizen. Illegal is Illegal. There is no middle of the road. Go through the process, become a citizen, pay taxes and reap the benefits of America. Until your naturalization process is completed, the colleges are aiding criminals if they do not report you to ICE after you apply and they find out you are, there is that word again, an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT. If you are smart enough to apply for college you have known the process of naturalization for years. Blame yourself after you blame your ancestors.

That way my tax money pays to feed American criminals in jail. It is part my country, you know.
