A prayer vigil for murder victim Donna Ogletree Johnson will be held Sunday, Oct. 17 from 4-6 p.m. at the Lamar County courthouse. Johnson was tortured and killed in 1984. Her killers were never brought to justice.

No thank you Bobbie Jo. I am a terrible speaker as I am a terrible writer. BUT my heart is in the right place. I think justice is excessively overdue for Donna and her loved ones. As I continually point out, all I have suggested is a review of the evidence by the Grand Jury. Do you see a problem with that little request? Can you think of any logical reason why Richard Milam would not approve of such a simple and perfectly legal procedure?

No problem from me. I am on your side. The Grand Jury should have an opportunity to view all the collected evidence and make the decision whether or not to proceed with indictment(s).

Logical reasoning and Richard Milam should never be mentioned in the same context. The use of the title District Attorney with the name Richard Milam is oxymoronic bordering as an imponderable.

Suspect to what? I only have a High School Education, no college. I think ain't is a legal contraction for am not. I enjoy writing, so I do it anyway. And will continue, suspect or not. I still do not understand what I am suspect of, and why? Can you elaborate on that?

Rape and murder is a serious crime. I hope one of these self proclaimed Christian preachers do not speak. I do not feel like saying prayers for people who murder and torture young women. It is bad enough with their acceptance for homosexuals and child molesters. I would really like to see a Jew speak some eye for an eye teachings. After all, you know thats what most people really want anyway. And if the killers make it to the justice system, thats most likely what they will get.

I can tell by comments here and on the Herald Gazette that this is not really a Prayer Vigil. I don't know why it was called that in the first place. This is just another kangaroo court meeting. I wonder if there will be any prayer at all. After reading the eye 4 an eye comment, I certainly will not attend. I had rather attend a Christian church and participate in some real prayer.

I assure you there will not be any Jewish influence at this event. It will be a bunch of lost Christians like yourself. I have never heard of a real prayer. Does that mean there is fake prayer also? I know this question might be tough. You really dont need to answer. Just run along to your Christian church on Sunday. We understand why you are there.

The eye for an eye comment was made by me in response to a smart a$$ comment from some idiot. Why would you hold that against The Herald Gazette or The Vigil for Donna. With your Christian reasoning, I personally prefer that you go to another place to do your praying. Your negativity may block the airways to Heaven as real caring Christians pray. Its not a victory though. All he has to do is cooperate with his attorneys now. He still has the right to a speedy trial. If money halts him from getting it now, he can file another appeal. With him cooperating and money being the only issue, it looks like you might have a new member at your church soon!

There you go again. Running people off from Donna's vigil. Love the "thank you for not attending part". I am sure if Donna could hear you, she would be real proud. And you want me to elaborate why you look suspect? I am going to let you figure it out by yourself. It shouldnt take more than your high school education. Please stop trying to sabotage this ladys vigil. They need all the support they can get. If you are not with her, you are against her. Are you supposed to have a mean spirit, or can you be a nice witch? What is witch law anyway?

Once again we have sung Cumbaya, melted a few candles,
distributed a few shirts, started some sort of fund and
patted ourselves on the back about all the support we
have provided the Ogletree family toward justice for
Donna Johnson. I'm sure the person(s) most entertained
by our snappy blogs is/are the one(s) guilty of the crime.
The guilty can now relax for another year at which time
we will start again this exercise in futility.

We all live by grace now. When God asks you why you live such an antichristian life just let him know you found the grace route a whole lot better for yourself. He might let you in his kingdom then.
