The Pike County Pirates hosted the Northeast Raiders Friday night. Kickoff was at 7:30 p.m.

Northeast was winless prior topping Monticello 21-20 last week.

Realtime scoring updates from the game by Greg Parrott included:

3:50 1st quarter: 70 yard TD run by Northeast Macon. 7-0.

0:35 end of first quarter: Northeast 7 Pike 3. Andrew Chau hits 18-yard field goal for Pike.

7:30 2nd quarter: Northeast 13 Pike 3. 62 yard TD run by Northeast Macon. PAT failed.

4:23 2nd quarter: Northeast 13 Pike 6. Chau hits 38 yard Pike field goal.

HALF

11:38 3rd quarter: Northeast 21 Pike 6. Northeast 83-yard TD run with 2-point conversion.

4:29 3rd quarter: Northeast 27 Pike 6. Northeast 68-yard TD pass reception. No 2-point conversion.

4:04 4th quarter: Northeast 27 Pike 13. 42-yard TD pass reception by Pike's DeAndre Holmes.

3:45 4th quarter: Northeast 33 Pike 13. Northeast 54-yard TD. PAT blocked.

After being traumatized by Barnesville, the Pirates could not function in tonights game. It had to have been a tough hit, after winning all them games in a row. But they need to move on ans start kicking a$$ again!

We're a different team without Kody and Nate. Kody would have chased #14 down on a couple of those long tds.

Would have if he thought he could handle football. Lets talk about what players will do, or need to do. Retired lightweights need to be forgotten about so this team can move on. They are the true hero's. They are still in the game fighting to represent Pike County.

I can't do this all by myself. I miss two games and yous guys go belly up. Guess ya'll are riding in Mama's big ole SUV again. Win a few and get the big head. If I had not of rubbed my lucky charm the score would have been much worse.

You know it is what it is, you either support the team or dont support them. I mean come on these are high school kids having fun and making memories for the rest of their lives and you all constantly whine and cry like babies.

I knew pike was a fluke all along, they always fade away when the good competition comes along and this is by far the weakest region and class of the 5..

Give me a break on the competition, Lamar was not even close to the best we've seen this year and NE Macon just won it's first game last week. We've had a shock to the team, it's up to the coaches and players to pull it together if they want to make the playoffs.

The trash talk can be summed up in one phrase. The football fans (Pike and Lamar) have long awaited success and grasp at any signs that it it within reach.

Shame on you fair weather fans! PC earned each of the five wins. A bit of enthusiasm from the fans could have carried them through Friday, but the stands were half-empty. The announcer had more negative to say than positive. These are kids out there playing their hearts out! Quit whining and support your team. Quit running down #7 who has stepped in to replace Nate F. How can anyone expect him to play his best when he keeps hearing how sorry he is and that he is not Ferrell or Adams? Who cares? These two contributed to the team they were not the whole team by themselves. I am sure they agree. Although they are missed, this is the time to encourage our players and our coaches as they re-group and re-work their strategy with a new team. Go Pirates!

These are just young men having the time of their lives. I bet you no one hate losing as much as they do. But they will be out there again at practice this week trying hard to get better. So give them a break.
I bet half to people writing these negative comments could not hold a candle to this young men on the football field. Go P/C.
