The Pike Pirates traveled to Barnesville tonight to take on the Lamar County Trojans in the annual Battle of Potato Creek.

Our QB was hurt badly during the game and yes it was a good tackle not a chop block, but you should have a litte more class than to say he should wear a pink jersey. What colors are u talking about? I am a PCH fan and I was at that game and I saw no thuggish behavior. I saw two teams playing hard and one team getting out coached. You never spike a ball with almost a minute left to make it 4th and 5. And what happened to #4, it seems he is the best player on the team and her hardly played?

Pike played well and gave up two cheap TD's, I would not go so far as saying Pike got it handed to them LC. I am neutral and will tell you LC will lose more games this year so enjoy this one because Greene Co is going to work on you. I also did not see anything that was thuggish.

Sorry Hawk but Pike did not give up two cheap TD's one touchdown was an interception and the other was a TD as a result of a blocked punt which both TD's resulted from hard work it's not easy to block a punt of get an interception but on the other hand LC fumbled the ball twice in Pike territory very close to there end zone which i would call a cheap TD not once did Pike drive the ball down the field for a touch down but Lamar did but all and still a good game but no cheap Tds handed to Lamar.

Both teams played hard but when the refs over look things or turn their heads when personal fouls are taking place, it's hard to beat that. LC didn't win by much so I wouldn't brag. (You will get the "big head" and things might not turn out so well for you next time.)

Well maybe you should have been paying more attention to the game than trying to see her crotch. Those uniforms have built in bloomers and those uniforms are also worn for competition so if you know anything about that you would know they have to fit like that. And why dont you focus on how those girls practice for three hours every single day, paint signs for the boys, give every single player on the team including the coaching staff and helpers snacks every Thursday after practice, paid for out of their own pockets. And how they decorated the locker room making personal signs for every player on the team....out of their own pockets....why don't you focus on something positive instead of sitting up their worrying about how much you dont like those uniforms!!!!

Once again, not trying to see, didn't want to see. They can fix all the snacks and paint all they want with SKIRTS on. All the other area schools have uniforms that come to at least the middle of the thigh. Lamar County's girls had thier bottoms and fronts covered. They compete in competions with those skirts. LC was not impressive as our game against Green County to PC. Mac made bad choices that gave LC the game. Our boys spirit and hearts were in this game more than the Coach. If he had kept his word to our seniors that was made at the beginning of the season, we would have seen a game we could be more proud of, win or lose. We love our Pirate boys and always will.

I'm a PC fan and i was there for the game against Lamar county, PC coaches handed that game to LC that night, we have played tougher teams than LC but our coaches were not leading very good that night, if you want us to step up our game skills then i say we need to have PC coaches to step it up or step it down...

Pike was an automatic win for Lamar it always is Pike did not play good football the two touchdowns they got were due to fumbles on behalf of the trojans they weren't even forced fumbles they just dropped the ball Pike DID NOT score a touchdown by driving down the field Lamar's defense was not hearing it NOT IN OUR HOUSE!! We have 3 or 4 quarter backs that could have won that game. It all boils down to bad coaching. They practice 2 minute drills...why not use them instead of getting two delay of game calls with 2 minutes left in the game...Who does that?

If Coach Mac had spent as much time game planning and coaching as he did painting LC on the field and planting a LC flag in the middle of it, maybe the Pirates would have faired better. If you have to do things like that to motivate your team for a rival game like that one you are not ready to coach and your players aren't ready to play. It's sad the boys got beat and then had to go out to practice today and still see that big ole LC painted in the middle of the field as a somber reminder.

For the record, Mac did not tell him to spike it on the 3rd down play it was a mistake and if you watched the game you can see the QB's that signal the plays on the sideline were trying to get his attention. Also the plays are called from the booth, now that probably should have been changed when the time got tight but that is why they had so many delay of game. Now if the entire group does not learn from the mistakes then there should be concern.
All you can do right now is go prepare and do as well as you can this friday. Hate to see Nate go down in his senior year considering he is needed for baseball as well.

For the record Mr or Mrs Reality, the coaches and everybody else on the sidelines told him to spike the ball. Everyone in the stands saw it. Don't try to make it look like it was my sons' fault...and yes he is #7. I hope we have learned alot from this game. We have a 2 minute drill we practice all of the time and didn't even use it...and what about the 2 delay of game penalties because they couldn't get the play in? Where were your play callers on the side lines then? My son knows to look for the play callers as he has been one for 3 years now. Get your facts straight.

Johnny, If that is true then I am certainly sorry for posting the above comment about not checking the sideline. From where I was sitting it looked like all 3 of the people involved in getting the play in were waving their arms and shaking their heads no when they went to the line. With that said, that instance did not lose the game, the drive at the half did when we had to kick the field goal did. I applaud #7 for stepping in a week after being hurt and showing leadership the going got tough.
I was also pointing out that all the plays are called from the booth and that may need to change in 2 minute situations.

our boys did great lamar wasnt s.... all they do and all they will ever do is talk s.... and cheat by hitting our QB at the knees cause they are sorry and a discrace to football and if you want some, ill be playin in the jv game and we ARE gonna prove to yal what pike countys made of so PC fans come out and support our jv!!.I hope you lamar boys are ready for us jv allstars, cause we comin with an a.. woopin cause WE READY!!!.....GET YOU SOME!!!!!!
