A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of a woman whose body was found at a residence on Johnny Cut Road.

First off, this young man was not my Aunts boyfirend. My aunt was a very kind and giving woman and has always been, and was giving this guy a place to stay. So before you go make smart--- comments like that you need to know the whole story. Unfortunately, you can sit back and make snide immature comments like this, but it goes to show how stupid you really are.

You should get the paper to do a retraction. It states the officials say otherwise. Call them and explain how you know every intimate detail of your aunts life. I guess I am as stupid as the other guy because I can swear it says that. Oh well, let me read it a gain.

I know a lot of men just as friends. We enjoy talking together and working together. I surely don't have sexual relations with them! AND NEVER WILL!

Renee Smith was a young girl who was I think was 8-13yrs old, raped & molested, then murdered & threw into a dog pin with dogs to cover the crime. It happened in Pike County!

It seems strange women & children die and no one is caught. No one cares enough to make the so called law work!

From what I've experienced personally the law is on the mans side no matter what his history is! Drugs, Murder, Robbery, terrorism etc... He is right! He's a good ole boy!

The woman is a drunk a drug addict or crazy! Even though she's never committed a crime and worked hard!

Accidents & suicides really make me wonder now. I was supposed to be killed in a accident a few years ago. The biggest mistake I made was going to the Sheriff!

There's something really wrong in Georgia!

If your a woman and not a criminal they do their best to make one out of you.

As God is my witness, I mean to do something about this!

Someone ask who a little girl is, or in this case was!

What I hate is the fact someone had to ask!

She should never be forgotten! She suffered a rape and only God knows what else before death!

We as the people of Pike County should not let the so called law get away with anything just because of who did it. Or just because...

When a woman, mother, sister, or who ever walks in asking for help, do their job!

Don't back someone just because they are who they are. Take down information and look into it. I'll bet they will change their minds in a few cases, if their not in on it!

I'm alive today no thanks to the so called law here!

No, I don't hate anyone except the people who will or would back up murder.

As a matter of fact anyone with children, grandchildren, or people they care for should wake up, and know for the grace of God this could be one of mine.

It shouldn't happen to anyone male or female!

We should be able to depend on the law when we need them! The law is supposed to apply everyone not just a few!

He has got that stupid looking private police car as well that he rides all over the county in. Funny how he lives in Concord, maybe thats why he has empty cars in Molena. I live in Concord, so I've seen the van, but are you telling me he drives that thing to Molena too? Why don't we all get a private police car to ride around in, must be nice. I wonder if he is even certified? I won't have to worry about obeying any laws if I get me one.

Sounds like Granny needs a hobby. There are a few officers who bring their car home in my neighborhood. I think its great. It is an excellent crime deterrent. I swear one must sleep in his uniform because when somebody does something stupid in the neighborhood he comes out of his house like superman. These guys are risking their lives everyday to make this a better community and look at how you treat them. When you grow some gonads and stand up against dangerous criminals for a living then you can make your comments. Until then stop the hating. And if you are a granny what a great example you set for your family.

I love this, you live in my neighborhood here in Concord. Fayette, Spalding, Ga. State Patrol and that loser deadbeat molena police cheif all have cars here. That's ok, we are worried about Pike tax dollars here, If the taxpayers in those counties don't care, we don't either. All of these posts are about one person who has a questionable past, who thinks he's jr.G Man riding our county on our dollar. I don't blame Charles and Molena Resident for being a little angry. Here's the thing, I think anonymous IS the Molena police cheif, how about that. Or, maybe it's his "friend who's a boy" mentioned on the posts above.

If you have a yard full of county and state vehicles and your useing them as personal transportation, you are stealing. Clowns like the Molena Police cheif are a rolling taxpayer liability when they use county cars for personal use.

Yes, it is stupid looking, he made it himself out of and old crown vic, painted it black, tinted the windows, has police written on the front tag and off he goes. I know he has it because he offers to contract out his police work to small towns. He offered his services to Concord a couple of years ago complete with the car and his wife as backup. We said get a life so he went to Molena and they were stupid enough to hire him. He's not quite right as they say.

I wish i could say I want more police checking my speed but I cant agree with you there. The crime rate must be through the roof in Molena with that empty cop car sitting there. I think its a good idea for a car not in use. Sure see a lot of brake lights when people see it.

I have seen him around town with his "side kick". I didn't know he left his last job under fire, what's up with that? I can tell you I over heard him bragging to his "side kick" about his enforcement of the black community. Perhaps that is why he left under fire. Perhaps this needs looking into at our next town meeting.

I'll go one better, he lives on my street in Concord and he does not own a private car, just the Splalding Van, Molena Police car, and there is a state DNR truck there as well as his pirvate black police car. That means we are all paying for his gasoline and they don't have to obey any traffic laws. What is the sheriffs take on this????

I knew her daughter who I have lost contact with, this is really sad, she will be missed by those that knew her, do not know the personal details of this, but in the end does it really matter, this is someone that has lost there life and by looking at the pic of the young man in question seems he was drugged up or at least he looks like it in the pic from above, sad story all the way around. Would love to find out how to reach her daughter as we grew up together and parted ways a few yrs ago but my heart goes out to the family.

I am presently incarcerated for killing my neighbors 8 year old daughter. I have been raised by both a mom and dad that abused drugs. It also affected me as I used to shoot heroin and cocaine in my arm. If I can just get some more people on my jury like you I think I would have a better chance of getting acquitted. My lawyer said if I had a idea where you lived at might help. This way we can at least try to select jurors that share the same drinking water as you. Please, your my only hope.

Daniel IS NOT from a broken home. His daddy, Johnny Rigsby, was killed in a car accident when he was only a baby & after that I believe that his grandmother and aunts on his daddys side raised him for the most part. So, if you people want to blame this on his upbringing then you need to point fingers at others instead of his mama.

Actually Johnny Rigsby was hit by a truck that ran a stop sign -- no fault of Johnny at all. Maybe you should find out who was driving the truck that hit him & ask if their eyes were open at all, or if they were drinking or doing drugs or any other thing that your ignorant mind decides to spit threw your lips.

And actually, yes, I do know Daniels mom. I know her very well. I also knew his dad. I knew both of them before they ever even started dating, got married and had Daniel.

Daniel "a good young man" that has caused more worry for his mom than any of you may ever know. Like I said, his grandmother and aunts raised him for the most part. Had they tried to HELP her raise Daniel instead of just taking control of him -- well, he sure as heck probably wouldnt have been running around dressing like a female for all that time. It wasnt his mom that dressed him in the girl clothes or put bows in his hair when he was little.

Had Daniels mom been HELPED to set that example for him instead of ENABLED to "the life" she has -- well, she could have raised and taught him the way she & Johnny intended when he was born. And it damn sure didnt include hair bows.

So this murdered lady new he was a "bad boy" when she befriended him and asked her to move in with her. This should be a lesson to others not to let shady characters in your home. I thought it was commonsense. Or maybe its true, commonsense is not so common. Sounds like with his past life without parole would benefit everyone. I grew up around people with worse stories than that and they have never killed anyone. Maybe if they read your blog they might consider it. Where were all you people when my attorney was selecting jurors is all I want to know!?

And you are illogically thinking or misunderstanding what you read. What Daniel did - if Daniel did it - is what Daniel chose to do. Everyone has freedom of choice and free will of their own actions.

Who led by example when Cain killed Abel? Did Eve lead an example of being a killer? I dont think so.

Stop pointing fingers and blaming his mom. Fault and blame belong to no one except the killer.

His grandmother and aunts basically raised him after his daddy was killed and they also ENABLED his mama to cope the way she did. Yes, the grandmother and aunts really used to dress him up in little girls clothes and put bowes in his hair too. So, if these people want to point fingers they should point them in that direction.
The grandmother and aunts of Daniel also had a son and brother who committed suicide in his early 20's, if I remember correctly it happened in the later part of the 80's

What did Johnny cut the road with? Did the road department file the charges? Was it a dirt road like most of Pikes and don't you think Spalding Road Department can make the repairs? Our former commissioner is the road super there.

Yeah JC, somebody did the same down here in Pike County. They think his name was Shorty. He did a number on Short Road, cut right through it. Road crews are putting up new signs which costs us money and address changes. I now live on Short Cut Road.

his dady was killed when he was 30, hit by a shwanns ice cream truck that turned in front of him on 19 hwy in thomaston, johnny was a good man had worked his entire short life at dundee #1 and had never been in trouble and i am positive that if he had lived this would have never happened, its just sad all around

Johnnie might of went to one of those less than 10 commandment churches. Jesus said himself if you break one you might as well break them all. As it is written anyway. Just like he said, if you love him keep them Holy. As it is written anyway. Shows how many people REALLY love him. Seems like a lot of folks out to purposely break at least one. 1st of all...Daniel's Grandmother & aunts did NOT dress him like a girl with hairbows! So get ur info right! Daniel wz surrounded by nothing but love! Yes his mom used drugs & Daniel wz placed n our Grandmother's custody not long after his daddy died! he went 2 a private school & knew right from wrong...yea a lil spoiled but not Enabled by no means...he later in his adult life began 2 use drugs& somewhere lost himself! As family we all love each other regardless of any circumstances that arise! & as 4 his mama she will always b our family & we love her! May not like choices & decisions made but we will always stand by ours! Cz that's what family does! im responding 2 all the post i c so tht facts will b known not assumed! & as i hv said in other posts we r sorry 4 the loss of Betty Smith & wish this wld not hv happen 2 her but the lady i knew wz a drug abuser herself & yes she allowed Daniel 2 stay in her home bc they did drugs 2gthr & had a sexual relationship 4 the last couple yrs not mnths! She also threatened his family on sev. occasions....ex: tried 2 punch& spray my Grandmother with mase when she came 2 get Daniel bc she didnt want Daniel 2 leave. This tragic event has brought both families pain but nobody knws what happen except the ones there during the incident! but as Daniel's family....we love him & stand by our family....unconditional love is the only Enabling element tht bonds a family! so if u love ur family (not meaning u hv 2 agree with their choices & decisions) then U R an ENABLER YOURSELF!
