I'm thankful for my job and that there are still good folks willing to work. If there were more folks giving a day's work for a day's pay, America wouldn't be sending jobs offshore.
you really think thats why america sends work overseas? i guess your willing to work for the same wages those little china kids are in the sweat shops. between the epa and the irs and our high o mighty government taxes, manufacturing in this country is not cost efficient. hell even NACOM bailed out of griffin and went to mexico. all the people willing to work didnt make a damn. but than again they said we can still work if we wanted to go to MEXICO.you must buy things that are only made in america. because if you are not you can work your fingers to the bone all week and than make sure your money goes to MADE IN INDIA, MADE IN CHINA, MADE IN JAPAN, MADE IN MEXICO, and all the other countries you support. if you only buy american more people need to be like you. if not its people like you that are helping flush this countrys economy down the drain. and while you are enjoying your pretty labor day, just remember, those sweat shops are up and running right now while you sit on your --- praising your hard work.
I have a family member that worked for Nacom and when tehy went to Mexico, he had to go there to train someone to do HIS JOB!!! I know a lot of people wouldn't have done that, but u do what you gotta do for your family.
I'm retired. I'm thankful that every morning I woke up I had a job to go to. For 35 years I did my best to produce more for the company than what it cost for my benefits and pay. Never laid off or furloughed. Never had to dance to the tune of a labor union. Looking back, I was always treated well for the company I worked for. On Labor Day, I give thanks for being able to have a job and provide for my family.
And on the seventh day we shall rest. The seventh day, or sabbath, is for rest every week. I guess for all those that piss all over the Ten Commandments you can make today your day of rest. Ah, keep the Sabbath holy. It does not matter if you are confused and think Sunday is the day of worship and rest or properly choose Saturday (go figure, the 7th day of the week!!!).
Worship yes. Go to Wing's n Thing's and cause people to work and slave for you? Not so holy. Shopping? Nope.Mow the lawn? Nope. Keep the Sabbath holy. You will have a day of rest every week that you and your family can enjoy. If you can not be true to this you might need a religion that does not ask so much from you. People that do realize the Sabbath is Saturday and worship on Sunday usually do it out of greed a survey shows.I have to work, my boss said, Sunday is much more convenient, following 9 commandments is good enough isnt it, my faith is not that strong that i can risk my job. Work and money before GOD. Sad isnt it. And going out to eat afterwards seemed to be the best part of the day!! Who cares if we cause people to work on the Sabbath, we are all sinners!
Well spoken my friend. Sounds like someone actually read the whole bible. Most just find the parts that work for them and run with it. Yes, church on Sunday is quite convenient. Thats one reason most stick with it. Why? A Sunday service will bring more people. And more people means more money. If you dont believe it try switching a Sunday service to Saturday. See how many people will sacrifice their oh so important Saturday for their Lord. The only thing significant thing that happened on Sunday in the scriptures is when Jesus rose from the dead and went to be with his father. If you wish to follow the Commandments in full a Seventh Day Adventist church would be a good choice. They are not as "popular" as other Christian churches because they are not as "convenient". They do worship on Saturday, yes the seventh day of the week. But for those of you that have more important things to do on the Sabbath I guess your Nine Commandment church will work. If you knowingly break a Commandment without any kind of mental struggle you have indeed sinned. And to repeat it over and over, well you get the idea. Not good.
