For Jody Harper, the most difficult part of managing the Pike County transfer station has nothing to do with the trash. It’s other things people often dump there. She says the number of animals abandoned at the center is disturbing. Feral cats live under dumpsters while dogs roam the area looking for trash to eat.

Save half that money and when there is enough build an animal shelter.
I'm just sick to death of having to pay for other peoples stupidity, bad judgment and/or just don't care. People should take care of their own animals. If you don't want them, put them down yourself. Stop throwing your problem on other people.
I own 8 rental units. I calculate my cost of doing business then add in my profit in order to set the rent. When property taxes increase, rent increases simple as that.

It's sad to put these animals down but since I'm not willing to take full-time care of 9 newborn puppies myself I'm certainly not going to criticize Harper.
Last I heard, there was a fee to drop off an out of county animal.
Icould not get in my barn.
