In changing commanders in Afghanistan, President Barack Obama performed a distasteful but necessary task, and did it reasonably well.

I think obama is going to have major problems now with the Afgan war. Gen. McCrystal was one of the very few military officers that actually voted for obama. He was so liberal that he would turn off the Fox News channel in his offices despite the desire of the troops to listen only to that channel. I believe once he completes his retirement process he will start showing up on the talk shows (probably MSNBC since it is the defacto voice for the left and Obama agenda). His comments about obama as a leader and commander-in-chief will be very damaging to obama as we approach 2012. If the Repubs win big this November and take control of at least one house of Congress (probably the House), don't be too surprised if you see a mass exit from the Dems holding high political posts. One of the first I think will be Hillary Clinton who will see blood in the water and an opportunity to gain the nomination in 2012. If you listen to Bill Clinton in recent days, it sure sounds like he is already laying the groundwork with his negative comments regarding how obama has handled the BP disaster and his recent endorsement of the Senate candidate in Colorado who is fighting obama' s choice of Bennett. It is going to get really ugly after November.By the way, obama opposed the surge in Iraq and really went after Gen. Peteaus at that time. Now he is banking on him to save his skin in 2012. Pateaus is thinking about running for office after he retires from the military. One way to keep your enemies far away is to send him to Afgan. But if Pateaus is able to accomplish the mission in the next 12 months, he will be the most popular person on the public scene. Sort of like Eisenhower was after WW II. Watch this closely. obama made a fatal mistake in selecting him. There is an old saying that you never hire someone you can't fire. Well, can you imagine the public uproar if he fired Pateaus? He has already fired two Afgan commanders. Three strikes and you are out!! Bye, bye obammy....put the golf clubs back in place before you leave and ask michelle to put Jacqueline's string of pearls back where she found them. She never had enough class to wear them.
