Pride of Pike participants needed
Pike County veterans of all eras will be the Grand Marshalls for the Pride of Pike Independence Day parade July 3. The theme this year is "We Will Never Forget," and the parade is sponsored by Pike County Emergency Services.

It takes alot of planning to climb up in a air conditioned fire truck, turn the key and ride up the street blasting the sirens with "paid for" fuel in the tank. Think about the other entries particpating, their time,cost and making arrangements to start at one place and end in another. Most parades start and end in the same location and dont take place in the hottest part of the day.
