why don't they use the increased lunch prices to make the lunches nutritious. Gov't wants kids to SIT all day in public schools, take away MORE time from recess and PE, serve JUNK for lunches, and then fund programs to try to get obese kids to lose weight?!?!?!
I was shocked when I discovered that PCHS doesn't use real plates that they wash and use every day..instead they use throw away plates . This seems like a lot of waste to me and is bad for the enviroment.I'm sure it is more costly too.
Or you can just keep it secret like everyone does about issues that should be resolved. I really do not understand why people keep facts hidden that should be exposed, who or what are people afraid of? The boogie man, I guess.
There are many things that should be changed regarding school lunches, the price is not one of them. Parents ask your children what they think about school lunches and then go talk to the school nutrition people to make changes.
sorry, I need to specify the children that need to be asked, Primary and Elementary breakfast and lunches are usually pretty good and a value for the money unless they run out of food before all the kids have eaten. (which happens often) From what I hear, high school lunches are pretty good also, but the middle school students will tell you that the food is terrible most of the time and the portions are pitiful. Most of the kids will wait until the snack bar opens and buy chips or candy instead of getting a lunch. I don't believe we should over feed them but a salad bar would be a nice addition
Snack Bar you gotta be kidding. Sound more like an amusement park than a school. Have themn carry their lunch like I did. If the school board won't allow it, vote them out of office.
